Confirmed to be the NA box art, too: Would I be wrong in assuming that we've been getting the same box art as NA over here? Because if not...well, I imagine that we'll be getting it too, and that's some seriously atrocious box art. Got to wonder if this is only coincidentally making the limited edition look better...

Yes, I did. I was actually in the middle of editing my comment when you posted, because PokéJungle strangely didn't quote a source, so I went looking for one Come on @Glen-i, do you really think that I thought that had nothing to do with the CG remake of the first movie coming up?

Seems like the Armoured Pokémon rumour might be true: Could also be related to the CG remake of the first movie being released this summer in Japan? I doubt that's anything other than a one-to-one remake (at least, that's how they've been advertising it), so it's a strange one to keep an eye on I guess. Just spitballing, but if not an evolution, it could also be an Ash Greninja-type deal?

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]
Julius replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
I don't even watch/read One Piece, and this has me sweating my problem with anime being adapted to live-action is that - unlike with say a remake of a film, or a book adaptation - it can very easily tamper with their perceptions of anime/the original source material for newcomers to anime/a certain series -
So... I'm not the only one laughing at golden guy being upside down, right? It looks like a meme...

PlayStation's YouTube channel have released a great four-part miniseries on CD Projekt Red, which I think is well worth checking out:

Currently wavering between an 85 and 90 on Metacritic, and scoring mostly 9's from the big reviewers.

Control will be the cover and focus of Game Informer's April edition:

This seems like it might be the official box art, from Deep Silver's website: Looks kind of rough, pretty generic, and nowhere near as good as the covers for the previous games (or the remasters from last year), in my opinion

We have a release date: June 25th! Those digitally pre-ordering the game will get early access to it on June 21st.

That symbol is also on the sleeve of the uniform that the male main character is wearing at the end of the gameplay trailer, as well as on the signs outside of the gym stadiums. I thought that it might be a league symbol (like how all professional sports leagues have a symbol), and considering that the colours matched the colours of the game logos, the thought had crossed my mind that the focus might be on Attack/Defence, mirroring the importance of offence and defence in football, and the transition between the two (which they're clearly mirroring in gym designs, strips, etc.) -- but I thought that this might take shape in a progression of the Totem Pokémon. The stance idea makes much more sense (at least to me), and would add a completely different layer to the game, so I'm all for it! Considering the focus on teamwork in football, I do wonder if they'll mirror that by having us be part of a team this time around? Speaking of Totem Pokémon, though, I would love to see the concept taken further in the form of some optional side quests.
