  1. With the Steam having a sale. Got Final Fantasy VI, IX and Rise of the Tomb Raider
  2. Why do people play this over Harvest Moon? All the reviews I've read say that it's clearly a copy, and enjoyable to play, but don't actually explain the (if any) differences and what makes it better.
  3. Makeshift Robot Wars. I almost tried something myself. But none of us got round to buying a car.
  4. The missus has a pic of it from the shelter on the Facebooks, we won't get him until next week though.
  5. A cat. As teased in the house thread, Kelly and I went to an adoption centre to look at kitties. There was one online we were interested in but found out he had been taken. When the woman there was just giving us a run down of the centre one cat came out of its bed pod thing and approached the gate, which she said was a first for him. There weren't many on show (there was a pair with one friendly meowing and seeing that they were 15 years old filled me with the saddies and they would probably die there :-() but we came back to the first one, Murdoch and said yeees. Also bought some things, litter tray, bowl, scoop and blanket, and one of those activity things for £13 altogether (cat sold separately) and took part in the winner-every-time tombola and got about 1-2 months of food for a fiver. I GETTEEENG A KEEETEEE
  6. "Stahp beeing such a poosee"
  7. For a long time I think I almost do. I've got a job which pays less than Tesco but more hours and it's doing something I've been working towards and I hope I don't screw it up. It's just all about saving this money now.
  8. We're getting a kitty
  9. I've done fuck all in terms of exercising over the past coupla months. Still planning on cancelling my current gym membership and possibly moving to another. I need to check them out first.
  10. I've been waiting for it ever since she went for her to come back, Harold style.
  11. Also slash the tyres/key the cars of his guests. I recommend engraving "visitor pass" on their bonnet.
  12. He runs Robinsons Motel with Steph Scully.
  13. It would be better if they kept a numerocal figure and maybe kept souls or shizzle as a gauge around it to see an in/decrease. I do like the difference in motive for Velvet, but once she starts talking about Artorious it's just "yes we get it. You're not a fan"
  14. Couldn't they hire you direct? Y'know, if you "left" or is it that if you're introduced by an agency they've always gotta pay the agency?
  15. Were they like Mr Burns "sooo... come crawling back eh?"
  16. Three people have... not had their contracts renewed after only partway into the next stage. There's only 3 of us now down from 8. You quit one job three times? And you've gone back for a fourth time?
  17. I just set it to record on the Virgin box.
  18. I'm not sure how I feel about the arte system at the moment. I liked it when you had your basic attacks and assigned artes to extra buttons. Now every attack is an arte. One thing which really confuses me is the soul thing. Using artes etc was so much more efficient when you had an actual figure to work with. Now it's "How much of this diamond do I have left? Wait, I had three now I have two?!" Or three to four, which is naturally better. Played a bit as Eizel due to his hardcore punching and thingy he does when enemies are downed which I can just spam. Rokuro not a fan off in combat. Not even going to try Laphicet. Only just got Magilou in my team (The Pascal to this game) but I doubt I'll play as her as she'll just be long range magic
  19. I'm about 5 hours in. That intro set up went on for way too long.
  20. Isn't it already programmed to acknowledge the OK Google sound? Either way I don't use voice shizzle. Only when searching for something on the Google and I can't be arsed to type it in.
  21. Do you always do your tax return?
  22. Update on this. We now have logins and our phones have just been given direct numbers. I've brought in a few office things and my desk looks all proper n' shit. Got one of my Dragonballs next to my monitor. We still haven't been given contracts yet, which they're "chasing up". However we think they're pushing us a bit too hard. Especially since we've had not-the-greatest form of training, which was basically just showing us a document, telling us what to do and expecting it done perfect straight away without any practice. Two people have quit already, one got another job and we think the other just got overwhelmed, she was doing a LPC course so we think she just wanted to focus on her studies without being pressured so much. They're expecting 15 perfectly ready to go litigated case each week. Which at the moment seems impossible as your progress is dependant on how cooperative the client is. One client was sending me everything I asked for, the end was in my grasp. Then she went into hospital and I couldn't get anything else. Unfortunate for both of us. At the moment I seem to be the "best" employee thus far. One colleague noticed the boss and secretary lady talking on Skype (they're on opposite sides of the room) and noticed I was being marked 9 on things. Which is nice to know but feels like the pressure is on. However, if I can basically blag my way through why I haven't gotten things done, for example I need document X and I've rang these people, emailed them too, they seemed to accept that yes, I haven't gotten the task done, but I've done everything I can from my end and the ball is in the client's court. If they want compensation, they've gotta get their shit together. What seems to be perplexing us newbies it that some of these cases have been left for so long they're nearly unworkable. In a personal injury claim like we deal with, they've got 3 years from the date of the accident to file a claim or they're shot. One case I have is going to run out in 5 months, this shit shouldn't really be happening. I can hear the phone ladies taking details for new cases and I gets me in a fright that we may not get round to dealing with their claim for 1-2 years because of this bullshit backlog we've got. One thing that is beginning to chap my ass is other newbies asking me for help, mainly because I keep getting into trouble about it. One lady in particular, lovely lady, but always keeps saying "Can you show me how to do this..." and my mind is going "No, I'm not going to show you, I'm going to tell you, and you're going to do it." She has been off last week on holiday, so we're all worried how she'll cope being behind next week.
  23. A few variations in my time, Dex, Dexter, Derekio, Dezzie D, Dubya, Don Shabba. Beech is what my missus and I refer to each other as. Dek/Dekky is what my Mum/Dad/Brother sometimes call me. Sasquatch, or the full name Thank You Sasquatch, was a name I got at Tesco. One colleague just asked if he could call me Sasquatch one time, said it was fine, and it stuck.
  24. You're half-ish right.
  25. Went to the gym for I believe the first time this year. 1.30 on the cross-trainer. About 30 reps on the abdominal machine. Then gave up. Place was rammed. But I saw some lasses with nice abs so it inspired me to keep going next time. Might buy a kettlebell so I can do some squats at home. And started on drinking spirits instead of beer. I think that's better.
