Nope on both counts. Exactly. But as I said, it paid the bills. You would think so after several people asking. I actually took pics of the "contract" they gave us to send to a chap I know who is a law teacher before I gave it back on account of it being horseshit. Here's a taste Check how in depth these contents are. They expected us to sign this before they filled in the blanks.

Technically yes, as no contract had yet been signed. After 3-4 months. Which was most unprofessional on their part, as checking Acas and CAB they should've done something after 2 months, outlining the grievance/disciplinary procedure. Everytime we brought it up the answer was always "I've sent a message to X and waiting for them to get back me". They tried giving us a pathetic excuse for one about a month ago which has chunks missing and was never going to sign that but before we could refuse they told us it was the wrong contract (no shit) I was also told that had a contract been signed I would've been sacked anyway as it would've been considered gross misconduct, which I didn't believe for a minute that this would be consider gross misconduct warranting instant dismissal. It appeared to take "The Directors" approx 5 hours to decide to fire me, yet it seems it's taking them almost five days to consider my appeal. I've been ringing my line manager nearly every day for an update (as I told her, I'm desperate - it's not as if they recommend this firm approach with clients...) and all I get is that she's put it on their desk and is waiting a response. I'm so tempted to actually turn up to the offices and speak to them personally about if there is anything I can do for them to reconsider their decision (borderline beg). It may be slightly forward, but the worst is that I'm still fired. Hopefully they'll see my passion for the job and allow me back. In the meantime I've had an interview at a bar/club, which I have to do a fuckton of online 'training' which involves several PowerPoint-esque presentations with a tiny quiz at the end, it's a step back but if it's monies I've gotta take it... Got an interview with The Nottingham tomorrow and an interview with a recruitment agency on Thursday which I wanna be hopeful for but I'm worries I'll get the same "you just don't have enough experience" roundabout thing.

Anyone got any tips for one level called Sports Gear? It's on the 2-4 player mode. The missus and I just can't figure out how to get the ball in the basket.

I was a paralegal at a solicitors in Nottingham. Been there since December. It was an alright place to work, but the communication between offices and the staff in them was terrible. Still, it paid the bills.

Booked Tuesday off for a funeral (missus' grandma), on the Monday I walked out with 3.5 hours left as I'd finished all my work for the day. Felt like a dick in retrospective. Came in yesterday, worked all day then they sacked me right at the end. Sent an email of appeal in, but the lady is not happy. So gotta hit the job sites hard.

You don't need Ashley to tell you how boring as fuck cricket is. You should know by naow how dull as shit it is.

It can't have been five years surely... (isn't going to check your post history yet)

There is a CEX, Grainger Games, gadget shop (Menkind) and Game right next to each other in the shopping centre next to work so I wander on down during my breaks for a browse. Mainly to see if they have a Walkman (mp3 before any of yo' peeps start jiving me) so I can fight the system by being able to listen to music whilst at work. Got one for £35 at the CEX in the town square. Also on my lunch break.
-
Sadly not boxed, just the cartridge, for £45. In a CEX would you believe.

If Brosnan is a baddie I can imagine him being like he is in November Man.

You mean you're not getting GOOD warm nostalgic feels?

Complications following surgery... Well at least it's not another hidden cancer death. But still... I shall try and find True Lies and watch it in his memory.

Did they just throw some penicillin at you? S'what they did last time I went in with it. Apparently (this was checking the/a NHS site around the time) you've got to have about 6-7 diagnoses cases of it in a year for them to consider taking your tonsils out. I thought I could've swung it in the first try. Gutted.
-
The only way to eat them of course. Having them go through any sort of manufacturing process just has you working for The Man.

A good read. A shame I wasn't around during the drama so I could ask her about all the raw vegetables she eats. Cooking is unnatural apparently.

If they get it wrong, aren't you able to claim double it back?

2 months in and still not been given a contract - but they are "chasing it up" as if the job has never existed before and they've outsourced the making of a brand new contract to somewhere else. But apparently the HR department are wanting our onlone dashboard (where we book holidays/records sick days etc) to have profile pics by the end of the week. Which is much more of a priority.

Aku Aku. Search for "freak sounds" app which has/had the sound effect. As well as other quality noises.

With the Steam having a sale. Got Final Fantasy VI, IX and Rise of the Tomb Raider

Why do people play this over Harvest Moon? All the reviews I've read say that it's clearly a copy, and enjoyable to play, but don't actually explain the (if any) differences and what makes it better.

Makeshift Robot Wars. I almost tried something myself. But none of us got round to buying a car.

The missus has a pic of it from the shelter on the Facebooks, we won't get him until next week though.

A cat. As teased in the house thread, Kelly and I went to an adoption centre to look at kitties. There was one online we were interested in but found out he had been taken. When the woman there was just giving us a run down of the centre one cat came out of its bed pod thing and approached the gate, which she said was a first for him. There weren't many on show (there was a pair with one friendly meowing and seeing that they were 15 years old filled me with the saddies and they would probably die there :-() but we came back to the first one, Murdoch and said yeees. Also bought some things, litter tray, bowl, scoop and blanket, and one of those activity things for £13 altogether (cat sold separately) and took part in the winner-every-time tombola and got about 1-2 months of food for a fiver. I GETTEEENG A KEEETEEE

For a long time I think I almost do. I've got a job which pays less than Tesco but more hours and it's doing something I've been working towards and I hope I don't screw it up. It's just all about saving this money now.
