Missus and I seem to be on a reality challenge binge recently... We watched Million Dollar Secret, which if you ever watched Fortune Hotel on ITV, it's similar but the elimination concept does not seem to have been thought through properly, as it doesn't seem to have much of a positive impact on the game. Now onto The Devil's Plan, because it's piling on that there is a new season coming, so watching the first. Looking forward for new season of You coming tomorrow also. Intrigued to see how it will "end" this time.

Eulogy reminded me of the photo episode from Red Dwarf, but shit. One thing from Common People I wondered... But as ye said, which is something I've been going on about for a few seasons now which people are starting to pick up on, it's people sticking a small thing to their temple > ??? > Profit

Anyone been enjoying the latest season? I've found most of them enjoyable, exception being Hotel Reverie, which was just boring. and Eulogy, which wore out its concept very early on and seemed then to rely on tugging on the heartstrings, with little payoff at the end.

I've been having some fun with this, although the missions come at you thick and fast and you can feel a little overwhelmed. I've not long unlocked Yasuke, so about 3-4 areas in, but going back to try and tidy up the previous areas/viewpoints etc. Looks beautiful, small exception in winter where snow covers up the paths and makes them a little hard to spot.

Guide my anus, you did nothing! And now you reap the punishment for your dishonour!

Just got my preorder invite. Got 2 cube controllers. The missus has pre-ordered from John Lewis (I think) May flog the second if there aren't any decent 2P games coming at some point

Not a film, but The woman in the house across the street from the girl in the window, is an alright series. Same for The Watcher and Fall of house of Usher.

The missus wanted the piranha plant one for her birthday so I was primed to order from the Lego site closer to the time. However recently shopping in B&M for paint found it there for under £50. So sorted nice n easy
-
But this isn't a NSO GameCube controller, it's something they did for the Smash fans in the house

Missus has made a preorder with John Lewis, and also gone for the piranha plant camera. Even if we don't use it. Hoping for an early link to get the GameCube controller. From the look of the specs, there isn't a standard USB port, which we have for a wired Jigglypuff GameCube controller

It's the perfect rope-a-dope

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster (5th June 2025)
EEVILMURRAY replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
All the texture smoothing in the world isn't going to make this good on a large screen. And how dare they shorten the title, now it will just go "Lying Fairy" -
Some random Mario enemies seem to have become racers, like the beetle things and the crabs from the Mario Bros. games. I'm hoping they're just placeholders for to-be-revealed characters

Nintendo Switch 2: Welcome Tour (paid digital, 5th June 2025)

It feels like they've taken the formula for 1-2-Switch, stripped the party functionality, added random trivia bullshit and are expecting money -

I'm surprised this wasn't free with the console. -
Gradius III is one of the most fun games I've played. Price depending, may be a purchase from me.

It's just going a different direction when in crossing the desert, you suddenly enter a part of it where the enemies are waaaay overleveled. Go back to Strahta and try to get to Oul Raye or whichever way it is through the desert. There's a save point just as you enter it so if you get shafted it's recoverable. I'd have a look at what titles I'm missing out on and if there's any way to make them happen. I wouldn't mind trying to fight as a different character, but I've tried with Hubert and Malik and found their styles not to my liking. One game I wouldn't mind doing a NG+ is Xenoblade Chronicles, because it's kept me at my previous high level and now the concept of the lazy battle system is paying off and I can glide through earlier sections.

I recall one of the Hyde Park meetups!

I think once you get the tradition JRPG airship trying to do requests is much easier. I don't get though why the unknown desert are is so tough, I haven't been back recently but I tried just before taking on Lambda and I still had to retreat. I had to use the light bottle to get to the ruins, which the enemies inside were much doable. I'm sad I used Pascal to do a puzzle, I thought she was just going to give me a small hint, not solve the whole thing. I was at the top of the Lastalia Shaft, going in circles and I had to take a break because my mind wasn't doing any mental mapping. Did it last night and got to Fodra's core and stopped there. I was going to walk forward and just get to the next save point as it was late, but then I remembered it was longer and decided to hold off. I'm kinda happy I will have some enemies to go through, because I solved that eleth area puzzle beforehand to get one the Tales Tribute Weapons for Asbel, but the stats aren't as good as the other Tales inspired weapon he has.

Going to say Mario All Stars coming before end of the month, April at latest.

Nintendo Switch Online: Game Boy / Game Boy Color

I don't recall the side jump going that high, shenanigans! Genius idea on that door though -
Because Arceus was set in the past, I was expecting something similar here, like some scandal while the Eiffel Tower was being built or something, or even further back than that. Helping out and watching Jubilife Village grow was most satisfying. But this appears to be set after X and Y(?), unless AZ was a hotelier before he got into the war business. I was looking forward to checking out pre-gameworld landscapes like Arceus and doing the random shit they wanted - except to evolve, the stuff they made you do with Basculegion was bollocks. Instead we have small wild zones which you know will be small and if they have themed ones in this city, like a small active volcano area where the fire types are and everyone just walks on the pavement outside as if poses no danger, s'gonna look stupid. Instead it seems they're doing the usual thing of adding small extra mechanics as if it was something people had asked for, going on roofs of buildings, wow... I always thought something was lacking in previous entries, not just the top floor of buildings. The Onix looked a bit tiny too.
