  1. Usually pre-order, because I want next isn't out yet. I buy second hand whenever the feeling takes me.
  2. Yvonne's story switching has concerned me. Vote: Yvonne
  3. Ancient Egypt. Land of the Pharaohs. A kingdom built on gold. A legend shattered by greed... Now the Valley of the Kings lies ravaged by war, drained of its lifeblood, as weak men inherit the cherished crown. City of Thebes. The Festival of Osiris. Loyal subjects of the Pharaoh gather to pay homage to their leader, but Taita – a wise and formidably gifted eunuch slave – sees him only as a symbol of a kingdom's fading glory. Beside Taita stand his protégés: Lostris, daughter of Lord Intef, beautiful beyond her fourteen years; and Tanus, proud young army officer, whose father was betrayed by Lord Intef, Chief Vizier of Egypt whose power is second in wealth only to the Pharaoh... Tanus and Lostris are deeply in love, but unbeknown to them, their union is an impossibility. Taita is the slave of Lord Intef. It was Intef who had Taita gelded as a young boy after he found that he had slept with a young slave girl. Together Taita, Lostris and Tanus share a dream – to restore the majesty of the Pharaoh of Pharaohs on the glittering banks of the Nile. Through the voice of the incomparable Taita, Wilbur Smith draws the reader irresistibly into the daily lives of his characters: their hopes, their fears, their passions. A glorious civilisation. An epic journey. A heroic battle. An enduring love. Here is a magnificent, richly imagined saga that explodes with all the drama, mystery and rage of a bygone time. This book is so immersive, I think I'm going to read it again very soon.
  4. That's not the reason The Big Bang Theory is so shit. ¬_¬
  5. Without hesitation.
  6. Sometimes the items taste fine on their own.
  7. The fuck?! I have over 10,000 posts? Total Posts: 15,773 Posts Per Day: 6.18 Jesus... Where has the time gone, I didn't think I was anywhere near that many posts.
  8. I too eat my meal in phases, most of them anyway. I always get amazed when you see people on cooking shows and the like piling a bit of everything on one forkful, I don't understand how they can taste everything.
  9. If you could share that history to those who haven't indulged in as many mafia games it'd be a royal treat.
  10. I know, but it was fun.
  11. The file location seems so familiar, but I can't put my finger on why...
  12. You consider clothing that's quite tight to fit "really, really well"?
  13. Some of his other "reviews" are entertaining also. I rather liked the Fantastic Four one.
  14. I wear whatever's comfortable and within reach. Preferably at a decent price. I won't pay three times as much so I can have a tiny name embroidered somewhere and I can say "Oh, it's Ted Baker*" and be smug about it. *Whatever name people are fisting these days.
  15. We don't want to know about your bukkake adventures ReZ.
  16. Pop it and then put a plaster on it.
  17. True, the man should do the shopping. That gives the woman enough time to clean the kitchen in preparation of cooking whatever he brings back. Just think of it like I do: Tetris with groceries. Even hum the theme/make turning noises in your head to get yourself started. Although the "heavy at the bottom/light at the top" method is simply common sense, it's surprising how many people don't follow this and wonder why their Kingsmill is flatter after the drive home. Nothing to do with the jumbo box of Persil on it, oh no.
  18. That Zac Efron looks like someone has taken Barrowman's head, compressed it and sucked the air out of it... Poor Captain Jack.
  19. That's why I always get the Chinese people coming in at work when I'm on nights.
  20. Or maybe it's a bluff and he's going to be mafia anyway!
  21. No one says ozzie here either. Unless they're talking about that Osborne chap.
  22. @Sheikah i no mayde o monies
  23. C'MAAAAHN. DO EEET ALREADY!
  24. Very educational. Hitting alien with stick = no workies.
  25. Fuck yes on both counts. I loved Duck Tales and Little Nemo when I was young. And Solstice too. Although that would be better if you could use an analogue stick/circle pad.
