With my first succesful 0-cost deck I got him and actually defeated him. I think it was a 0-cost / frost combo, I'd have to check, but i relied on the 0-cost for damage mostly.

As I fan of FE, I love this. Much preferred over Dante (though I wouldn't mind him). They even thought of a solution to the all the swords haha. Think Dante will show up as the one more thing perhaps.

I can't stand the "get random card" cards. If you get something you can't use, you end up with clutter. Then again I've never tried to do specific combos with them (but trying to go for specific combos is dangerous in this game).

Oh yeah I have no doubt it'll get (much) harder. Just doubting it'll get more fun. Got Charmander as my choice by the way.

I had barely any idea what these games were.. But with the demo out, I just gave it a try. Did the first 2 dungeons (.. Pressed L, then pressed A to attack now and then). I find this boring as fuck. Maybe I'll give a few more dungeons a try, but I doubt the gameplay is going to change in such a way that I'll actually like it.

Seriously, keep on playing. The game takes it sweet time to explain (and open up) the full battle system. I don't think I've seen everything after 12 hours.. The last mechanic came pretty late if I remember correctly. In other words, you most likely haven't seen the battle system in full display.

Are you at the start of the game? Killing similarly leveled enemies is pretty hard without a full party. Things will be much easier once you have a few allies and a better understanding of the battle system.
