It wouldn't be any different if they weren't random. You need the experience for the bosses and difficult optional areas anyway. One of the support skills actually reduces the encounters, and it's the only support skill I haven't equipped as it's pretty useless.

I think that's really all there is to it. I mean I love Octopath, but I have a few minor nitpicks, all which would have been no problem with some more polish and therefore I slightly higher budget. One of these nitpicks is npc's having the same default dialogue under normal circumstances regardless of whic character you're currently playing as. For example, Tressa's parents treat her as any other character when you're simply shopping. Some custom dialogue would have been nice, and this applies to loads of npc's.

Stopped playing this during the AoV beta, and while currently Octopath is my focus, I've played this a bit again last night and a little bit a few days ago. I'm 35 hours in, and while several of those can be attributed to retrying boss battles, that's just an insane amount of content, especially as I feel I've still quite a way to go before I've seen all of it. I suspect I'll easily get 50 out of it before all's done, and that for 15 euros.

Could this one be moved to other consoles?

I was too busy playing Octoling Traveler Saturday, but congrats to Belgium for 3rd place. Apparently there was some Belgian electronics store who had a deal that they'd refund your TV if Belgium would score more than 15 goals this World Cup. Well, they did (the odss for that were very small). Their 2nd goals against England was the 16th. Apparently they were insured against such an event happening with a British insurance company.

Yeah. A regular retail version for PS4 and PC was released some time ago (I'm guessing last year, around the time of the final cut), but the Kickstarter specific physical copies were only sent out earlier this year. I think something went wrong with mine and was delayed even more for some reason. Anyway, I got a much nicer cover, one which fits with the cover from Dreamfall limited edition.

Yup, loving this. I'm going counter clockwise on the map. Finished Olberic's chapter 1, then Tressa's after that, now I've met Cyrus and I'm doing his starting chapter. I love the path skills. I love to see what individual people are selling. I love beating people up with Olberic.. And I love getting beaten up by old grannies with Olberic (blasting me with fire spells which do tons of damage). Then "recruiting" those grannies with Primrose. Also saw the first hint of intrigue.. Cyrus mentioned something that probably concerns Olberic, something about his old homeland.

Don't ask, just post. I didn't play for long, but I just replayed what I did in the first demo. That means I started with Primrose, and finished her chapter one. I've currently met Olberic, and I'm now doing his chapter one. Haven't explored much yet, most of the areas are too dangerous for just one character.

The blu-rays are Criterions. I specifically bought El laberinto del fauno to try to get it signed, but that didn't pan out. I also received something else today, after 5 years.. I'll post that here.

I meant for the whole game, and I wouldn't mind myself obviously, that said, I guess I'd miss all the cute noises they make too, like the almost but not quite "Thank you!" and stuff. But I really think having at least an Japanese (and in addition English) version of the songs that have "lyrics" would help increase the hype and help marketing in that regard. Anyway, I would have joined if I were at home. I'm probably there next week. And I want to see both new maps then!

So I just had an impromptu game of football last night.. Scoreboard (at least the one on the smaller indoor field) works and everything. So who's up for buying that football outfit they have on sale now, and try to get some actual first person football matches going? Haha. I've certainly played the game long enough to warrant some spending. I'll post some of my highlights later. I won my first solo match a few days ago, along with my first few squad matches. Despite me being still crap at the game, and I'll never learn to build towers while doing backflips. Pro-tip: find a rocketlauncher.

In that case, complain about it now, and mention this very fact.

Although I love the soundtrack, I think they should ditch the made up language, and go for Japanese (and localise it in English if you need to). I really think this would increase the hype if they have some J-pop accompanying the game that would genuinely fit in their charts. Not to mention the real-life Pearl and Marina both look pretty good as well!

I don't have any cracks, and I don't often take it out from the dock. Maybe you people are throwing it around to much.

The game's a must-buy on Switch. Though it wouldn't make games like Axiom Verge or even Steam World Dig 2 obsolete for me. I still need more Metroids and / or Vanias.

I completely dismissed this, purely based on the cover artwork. I don't think I even watched the trailer. Ehh, it looks like it could be fun. The appeal of online play.. I'd never consider this even if I didn't already dismiss it based on the cover artwork. But still, so many games.. Maybe later.

Stuff like that would be a dealbreaker for me.
