Nice to hear the German National Anthem that did not feature Vettel at the podium. As much as i don't like seeing cars retiring, if it features Vettel then i don't mind. Ok, it wasn't an all-out classic race. But this race can only improve things later in the season, i reckon by Silverstone we'll have all the cars fine-tuned and give out 110% performance and have a good race. Unlucky for Hamilton, who knows what the race would have bought if his car was at 100%. Still, nice win for Rosberg. And congrats to Ricciardo on his debut for Red Bull and Magnusson for McLaren, both have got a bright future in the sport. Watched it via Sky Sports (recorded it). But when i can watch the Live races, the coverage sounds more impressive this year than last. Near enough a camera on each car, replays whenever you want. Edit: Just read Ricciardo's been DQ'd. Magnusson and Button shift up a place each, so not too shabby. 2 McLaren drivers on the podium.

Another issue with call centre work, is that the customers (especially in my line of business) expect to have their hands held and guided through everything. For example, if i ask for a full estimate for the Current Year (13/14 tax year) before and after any changes, they give you an hourly rate, and number of hours and say "work it out for me". Sorry people, that is not my job. And that isn't what i asked.

Do the words "Kill it with Fire" mean anything?

Xpert 11 Season 30: The End of History, The Era of One Champion
Jimbob replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
Put me down in the friendly cup, there is no chance i'm making the top 4 this season. I'm focusing on getting a team built. -
Most of that list i've completed. Actually, what am i saying. I've done it all on that list.

Everyone (i think) knows about my woes with my job. The main part of my job i hate the most (and which is why i can relate to ReZ's "Call Centre" videos he makes) is the customers and management. Oh, and the fact it's a phone-based job. Anyone who works in a call centre will know that customers can be bloody annoying, down right stupid and complain about the simplest of things (including the process to do whatever it is they want doing). I've been told consistently to cheer up and change my mood/attitude by various people, but i simply cannot do that. Job is meaningless, boring and not "challenging" in anyway shape or form. In recent weeks as i've mentioned, they were basically "forcing" people to apply for their own jobs as a way to stop paying a redundancy. And they kept changing their minds in what was being done, to the point being that no-one has a clue with what is going on. And in the last week, they turned around and offered anyone whom wants the redundancy (including those whom actually "applied" and had the job offered + accepted) to turn down the offer and take the money (which is my boat). But i was warned that by doing this, you are risking even getting the money as they'll use it as a way (again) to stop paying it. As they'll say they offered work but you refused it. I hate the job, and i wish i never accepted it 2 years 9 months ago. Oh, and it's a "fixed term contract" which has been extended in 6 month stages since June 2011. I have decided that if (and i pray i'm not) i'm still there in 6 months time, i'll quit. But to be fair, i'm border-lining that now.

I'm holding off, like Yvonne i too would like to hear a little bit from Rummy. We are only 1 night phase down, plus i see no point in lynching DuD as it stands.

I got nothing, couldn't reach my target last night. Whom was Rummy btw.

Moments in Gaming That Have Blown You Away
Jimbob replied to Goron_3's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I think i'd need a few new pairs of jeans if i could play a few games again for the first time ever. Returning to the topic in hand. I'll name a few now, and when i can remember more i'll add to this list (playing so, so many games it's hard to remember all the moments) Ocarina of Time The first time stepping out into Hyrule Field, that glorious cutscene showing it in it's full glory. At the time, this was breathtaking. For Child Link, this is a moment where being a child ends and it's time to grow up. The moment where you realise that you ain't a real Kokari. I don't think words can really do that justice. But that was a stand-out moment for me. Metroid Prime Like many, i went into this game not expecting much. Thinking it was just "another shooter-style" game, i went in. I quite liked it as it was. But the moment that blew me away, well the image below shows it better than words can Can't say it better than that. Red Dead Redemption The ending was one of them "wow" moments, but another moment which stood out as "wow". Entering Mexico for the first time (with that music at Sunset). That was something else. The scenery, the landscape. Everything about that moment was something well worth remembering. Wind Waker Tower of Gods, the storms as you sail across the ocean. -
Hopefully they've finally implemented "Friend Battles". Sucks that they never put it in the game first time around, kind of an obvious thing really.

Probably going to come out Autumn/Holiday period most likely. But at least it's still in the works.
-
Bad news, it's delayed until February 2015
-
Cool, shall be looking forward to hearing it.

I'm still playing this, anyone else not had the Police Station as of yet or is it just me?. It's not popped up on my public projects list even after talking to all my residents over the many months.

2 VC in 1 week, what is this Nintendo. Are we starting to realise that you don't have anything in the pipeline for the WiiU?

#09 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins)
Jimbob replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
An abosulute classic Gameboy game, i only recently replayed it on the 3DS Virtual Console over the Christmas period. This was one of the many games i had with my original Gameboy (R.I.P) back in the 80's/90's What i loved about this over SML was the fact that the levels were somewhat different. As it's been said, Miyamoto wasn't behind this game and it shows. Give a team a chance to create something they want from the franchise, and they do it. This game is an example of that very thing. Ok, the music was re-used in some worlds. And the lack of saves vs Wario is somewhat annoying, but that just adds to this. -
Wow, hopefully for that price it's a decent size and not a micro size like the Ganondorf statue.

As much as i'd like to help out, anything before 9pm most evenings isn't really good for me. Especially a Thursday. It does sound like a really great idea though, and i'll be listening/giving feedback.

Wrestlemania (and the RAW after Mania) will be a proper crowd hijack. We all know what happens on RAW's after Wrestlemania don't we. My prediction for the Batisa-Orton match crown reaction, skip to the intro for Sheamus + Orton. And insert random chants

Jack Tretton is set to step down as SCEA CEO by April 1st

Finally, a release date. It's going to be a busy weekend with both Mario Kart and this out.

I quite liked the whole crowd boo'ing everytime Trips and Steph got on the microphone and spoke, could hardly hear them over the crowd. Kept chanting "over-rated" at Batista (as well as boo'ing him). But yeah, i got bored of the consistent "CM Punk" chants after about half-hour. Not exactly a hijacking, what would have been more better is the crowd not even showing up at the arena. That would be sending a message to the WWE, saying we don't like the current product. But that was never going to happen.
