  1. Wow, that's cheap! I haven't played the games, I think, so just picked it up as well - I had some gold coins I could just as well spend on it so it was about a quarter of a pound for me. Reasonable price. Thanks for the heads up.
  2. You have to walk it 10 km or such before evolving it. Just like in the main game.
  3. Something that only happens over time is extremely hard to find in QA, especially in tech as there is no government regulation that demands tech companies to address long-term issues. In the medical business, this is a demand which is why it takes so long for new medicine to get to the market - obviously. So yeah, it's naturally Nintendo's fault but you it's hard to blame them and the way they handled the issue in the first place is very nice - acknowledging the problem and fixing it for free is about the only thing they can do, and since they can repair it, I would be very surprised if newer batches of JoyCon also has the issue but I haven't searched for information about it.
  4. Is it still an issue, though? From what I understand, it was a problem that only occured in the first batch of JoyCons and the ones that came with the Switch when it launched. The new JoyCons should be free from drifting. Or am I mistaken?
  5. Seems to be about as good as the other entries in the series. Launch trailer:
  6. Yeah... but it was 600,000 - so I don't really see where it fits. Perhaps it was because the Shiny was registrered in the receiver's dex?
  7. October 31st!
  8. No, it kind of removes the purpose of the Lite now. But nothing worth upgrading my current model for.
  9. Just traded with someone - she is a Great Friend, and I got a Gible that I didn't have in my Pokédex. I don't understand how come the Stardust price for that trade was 600,000 - it's neither Shiny nor Legendary. But I traded a Shiny Togepi for it - did that raise the cost so much?
  10. Yeah, nothing wrong with doing that but it's just rare that people do it just once. It's more like if people are willing to put in money, they are statistically more inclined to do it again and it will most likely happen if they keep playing the game - and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I've put in money a few times in Pokémon Shuffle on 3DS because it gave me somthting in-game. Just don't buy something that fills automatically like hearts. @Kaepora_Gaebora: Yeah, I can relate to this. It's not that I had a lot of fun with the game - it was okay but nothing great. But I'm just fearing the future of the game - Pokémon Shuffle started out fine enough but in the end, they just put in so many crazy hard levels and overpowered Pokémon to overcome them that many people really didn't enjoy it any more. And I do hope that Dr. Mario World doesn't go that way, I just fear it. Maybe it was just me being tired but couldn't get three stars on level 23 or 24 or something without using an assistant. Up till then I didn't have to use them. I haven't played versus mode at all.
  11. I've uninstalled the game now after clearing 25 levels. It's fun and all, but it reminds me too much of Pokémon Shuffle in a bad way. That was enjoyable in the beginning but in the end, it became a chore and it got so hard that you needed to either spend ages grinding for levels, spend coins or just wait for a stronger Pokémon to appear that could clear a level with an S-rank. I fear that the assistants in this are the equivalent to the Pokémon in Shuffle.
  12. Well, if that's the case then this isn't really what we're told it is. Then it's just another Mulan-story which is probably fine.
  13. Digital Foundry analysis is up:
  14. Good choice! One of the best games last year.
  15. This is really awesome. The creativeness and cleverness of the solutions are just too much to handle, it's so nice. This is truly a game design wonder. I spent 20 minutes on a level yesterday that I went back to today and solved within 20 seconds because I just had the idea of how to clear it from a later level. I love that kind of puzzles (though they are a bit frustrating but then you can just move on). I've just started the third area after having cleared everything up till then.
  16. I was a bit put off by it being in German when I watched the trailer - didn't know that beforehand. But I'll manage once I get it started. It had a sort of Stranger Things vibe, though, and having just watched the third season, I'm not sure it's a good idea to start another show similar to that thematically. Like how I didn't want to watch Vikings while watching GoT.
  17. Let's Go plays quite well in handheld mode. I almost exclusively played it that way.
  18. No one is saying it should be that cheap. @Sheikah even puts forward the number 150-165 like many others.
  19. Finished it on Wednesday and enjoyed the season quite much - but not as much as previously. I feel that the formula is getting a bit old and that they really have to renew for the obvious coming of season 4. I think I would have preferred that this would have been the final season.
  20. Oh, Baba is You is on sale. Might dip into that.
  21. Dang, Hellblade is on the list at a 30 % discount. Haven't played it since I bought it a couple of weeks ago so I could've waited and saved the money....
  22. So you're suggesting that they have modified the Tegra X1 to perform lower (or replaced it with a cheaper variant with lower specs that are identical to the specs the OG Switch has when in handheld mode)? I guess that would be a valid and possible reason.
  23. From a technical point of view, I don't understand why they removed the option for TV-output. It's the same tech inside the two Switches and the cooling system is supposedly the same as well. I don't believe they had to get rid of the HDMI out in order to shrink it as I don't think that really is a separate unit now that everything goes through USB-C. So.. why would they remove the TV-out?
  24. It's clearly targeted at children or people who want a secondary Switch console to bring out and about. With the linking two consoles via NSOnline and game sharing, this is perfect for being able to take out your games when traveling while the original Switch is at home in the dock. If you then want to play on the TV, you switch to the OG Switch and play on. For families with two children, this is also perfect. They have the original Switch for the oldest child and then the young one gets a sturdier version. Then they can play local multiplayer on the TV or wirelessly against each other. And it's aimed at someone like @Hero-of-Time who does not want to bring the expensive (main) version outside but will bring a sturdyer, less expensive version outside with less worry. I do think it's too expensive for what it is - removing a lot of the tech in the JoyCons, removing TV-output, removing the Dock from the package and making it smaller should reduce the price a lot more than what we see.
