After seeing the trailer for New Super Lucky's Tale, I thought the game looked pretty rough - both on the gameplay and the graphics. The treehouse section makes it look better at least, but I think Yooka-Laylee has scarred me a bit - I didn't enjoy that much so I'm skeptical about this one now.

It's still got a few weeks left in development. They are most likely ironing out the game. I would rather they dropped the resolution a bit to nail the 60 fps, though.

True. But I have seen examples of games with a name suffixed a number 2 and still being a prequel. But yeah, it makes sense if this is a true sequel.

So... BotW2. In my view, it looks like a prequel to BotW but I may be wrong. I hope it's a new map and that the story is more prominent. I would bet at this being a 2021 game.

That was an incredible direct with tons of games and no downtime. My only complaint was that most of the stuff is 2019 and thus, I won't have time to play them all. Links Awakening looks amazing. Astral Chain looks like a fun game. Banjo in Smash is crazy! BotW 2 is good news though probably a 2021 title, it's late 2020 at the earliest I think. It also seems to show the rise of Calamity Ganon so I'm interested in how they can make a winnable story now. Hopefully it's not the same map as BotW. Luigis Mansion 3 looks great. Now I have to get that. Though I'm not interested in it, No More Heroes 3 is a cool announcement. Spyro Reignited is coming in September as well. A shame they put that in the reel. I also have heard about Super Lucky Tale but don't know much about it. Shame that A Hat in Time was missing. Mario and Sonic actually looks fun this time around. I think Witcher III actually looks alright. Will be waiting for reviews but very interested in it. And then there's the games I forgot about now. So little time!

I like what I see. I could see myself getting this if it reviews well.

The story seems promising and I like what I saw. Hopefully the gameplay will work with so many different characters. Looking forward to seeing more of it (though I probably won't be able to play it as I don't own a console for it).

Yeah, sorry. Forgot about that. That was terrible. That's why I generally prefer Nintendo Directs and the Treehouse sections.

Indeed. That's why I enjoy Nintendo's presentation - a trailer and then the Treehouse to elaborate. It makes for a much better showing in my mind. Don't get me wrong, it looks solid. I just don't enjoy watching people play games - I'd rather play them myself.
