  1. Happy B-Day, dawg! (I really need to start getting into the habit of checking this board for Birthdays, I always feel like a right jerk when I miss one)
  2. OK, am I the only one who hits an Unfurl Block and purposefully hangs around so I can hear the whole 20 second piece of music? I think I might have to update my ringtone.
  3. I enjoyed it, it's an absolute rarity for me. A Starfox that I enjoy. (Context: I really don't like Lylat Wars) It's got a steep learning curve though, but once you get it down, it's a load of fun!
  4. By Alola forms evolutions that are obvious, do you mean something like Alolan Meowth evolving into an Alolan Persian? Because while it is obvious it would happen, I wouldn't want to see pictures, unless it actually shows up in the demo.

But if it's a brand new Alolan Pokemon, then nope.

New Moves/Abilities is a bit of a weird scenario though. Personally, I wouldn't want to see them if possible, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if it slipped through.

It's mostly new Pokemon/Alolan Forms I don't want to know anything about.

I suppose any major story elements either, but I doubt datamining a demo can ruin that. Also it's Pokemon, the only decent story the mainline series has had was Black/White.

  5. So, because Game Freak can't scrub demos to save their lives. I have to ignore everything to do with Pokemon until I play through Sun/Moon. I'm gonna write about a game to pass the time. View post in Miiverse Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice came out on the 3DS last month. Much like the other games, it's a visual novel revolving around defence attorneys and the court cases they take part in. The game follows Phoenix Wright and his 2 employees, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes as they tackle 5 cases (6 if you buy the DLC). Now, I normally start by giving a brief synopsis of the story, but seeing as this is a visual novel, I won't bother this time. I will say that it's an absolute corker of a story. Right up there with Trials and Tribulations, there are some really nice twists, all sorts of ridiculous scenarios, great characters and many, many pop references. The gameplay revolves around two main sections, Investigations and Trials. Investigations involves searching crime scenes, gathering evidence and questioning witnesses in an attempt to piece together what happened so that you don't utterly fail in court. Just like I did here. You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse The court sections are the meat of the game and involve your lawyer trying to get a "Not Guilty" verdict for their client. This involves listening to Witness Testimony and pointing out contradictions with evidence and just a little bit of dramatic pointing. Sooner or later (Provided you don't mess up so much that the Judge refuses to listen to you anymore), the truth should come out and you find out what happened. Now, obviously, there's a lot of reading in this game. Comes with the genre. A new mechanic in this entry is the "Divination Seánce". You see, Phoenix is abroad in a place called Khura'in and their trials revolve around a seánce that shows a murder victims last few moments from their point of view. Most of the time, it looks pretty incriminating for your client, so you'll no doubt have to find something there that looks fishy and figure out what it really means. I really like this mechanic, the game does some clever stuff with it and it's fun slowly changing the actual meaning of what is shown. The visuals, just like Dual Destinies before it, are fantastic, every character is animated beautifully and exude loads of charm. View post in Miiverse Yeah, a lot of my Miiverse posts were full of spoilers, sorry for focusing on Athena so much. Trust me though, the animation's great. The music is solid too, some very catchy tunes, some somber ones and those all important ones that play when you're making good progress and the game wants you to get pumped up! I think this may be my favourite Ace Attorney to date. It rarely puts a step wrong. The 4th case is not quite as exciting as the others, but it still has it's great moments. If you're an Ace Attorney fan and you haven't tried this y... Oh, who am I kidding? Of course an Ace Attorney fan has played it. And with that...
  6. Basically, anything to do with the leak. Stuff that was obviously never planned to be shown. In other words, stuff that has not been shown in advertising, etc.

Whenever a new 'generation' comes out, half of the fun for me is discovering all the new Pokemon. So if someone came along and showed me a complete list of the new Pokemon, the urge to punch them in the face would be very high.

Granted, Game Freak have been advertising a lot of new Pokemon, but I still believe there's some that they wanted to hold back. Those would be spoilers to me.

Although it could just be me, some people might like to know all of the Pokemon before hand.

  7. It's both. I've got it right here in the N-Europe Dictionary.
  8. Oh @dazzybee, you never fail to make me smile with your... Wait, hang on... YOU'RE NOT DAZZYBEE!
  9. Let me get this straight. I never said Greninja is rubbish. It's one of my favourite Pokemon. I wouldn't spend six months breeding a Shiny version with fantastic IV's for any old Pokemon. Greninja isn't just great because of it's high speed and decent Special Attack. It's great because of Protean. You can play some serious mind games by changing your type whenever you like. Not to mention getting a STAB boost on every move. Ash-Greninja sucks in comparison because it has to give up Protean. The stat boost it would need from transforming would have to be astronomical in order to be viable, and something tells me that isn't the case. Ash-Greninja also takes one of my favourite Pokemon in terms of looks and makes it look lame. Why does it have hair? It looked fine without a wig! Not to mention it's associated with Ash, which makes anything uncool. Gary's right, after all. Ash is a loser. Anyway, Game Freak done goofed. Screw you @Debug Mode, I'm not looking. You can't make me! I'm officially off most of the sites I visit. Probably will go off this topic as well. Can't take the risk. Don't bother quoting or mentioning me, I won't see it. Smell ya later!
  10. Yep, the game is an absolute joy that keeps delivering on wacky humour. All the negativity surrounding this game when it was revealed is absolutely hilarious in hindsight.
  11. Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. But I'd like to at least go on N-europe without having everything spoiled. Guess I'll just stay off of this topic.
  12. Which reminds me, if Game Freak do fudge up and have everything ready to be datamined from the demo, keep it in spoilers please. I want some surprises!
  13. Now I'm kinda curious as to how well it did. Especially after Smash, I'm sure that got a few more copies sold.
  14. But that's a Christmas game...
  15. You can have mine when the full game lands. You don't even have to give me anything in return. I just don't want it.
  16. Geez, with a moveset like that, no wonder it lost to a Charizard. That's a woeful set of moves for a Greninja! There's not even a Dark move! Water Shuriken sucks, Aerial Ace is eh, Greninja's too fragile to make proper use of Double Team and Cut... Cut!? Really!? Not to mention Greninja works better as a Special attacker.
  17. It explains everything! Narkarkos represents the dead husk of the WiiU! It needs to be put to rest before we can move on. That said, the moment when that music changed halfway through Narkarkos was chilling. I very much enjoyed that fight. It works well with multiplayer, what with the multiple ways of inflicting damage and the status effect that pretty much needs help from someone else. Those kind of Elder Dragons are my favourite. Hopefully, I can get the next weekend free.
  18. Remember soaring in OR/AS, it's that principle, but with other HM moves. You're given Pokemon during the game that you can't use in Battle but are used to do what HM's do. Charizard Flies, Lapras Surfs, etc. You're assuming that Bottle caps are infinite in supply. I mean, they should be, but after I was expecting the Battle Frontier to come back in some way in OR/AS and being so disappointed, I'm remaining cautious.
  19. OK, @S\.C\.G, room's open now.
  20. I think @Sheikah was just referring to the Mario Party series as a whole. Mario Party 10 has a mode that uses Amiibo, the other two main modes don't use them though.
  21. I'm available for one more hunting session tonight until 9. It'd probably be just me though. DCubed and Ugh First Aid are working. @S\.C\.G, @RedShell, when are you free? Do you even want to play today? Do you still have a 3DS? What colour is it? Does it match your WiiU? Is that the NX? Is this the NX? Am I the NX? Has it all just been a figment of our imaginations? Why haven't you answered me yet?
  22. @Ugh first aid was watching me as well. And I'm glad she was because...
  23. Just got the 4th Big Paint Star.
  24. Having to take a choice, I'd go the portable route. If only because it sounds easier to bring outside. My actual answer is "don't mind, just as long as the games remain fun."
