Whoever mentioned it is very smart, you should listen to that person.

Winning a stamina match through grab pummel is always funny in how anti-climactic it is! Wii Fit Trainer's looks really odd with the bigger characters. EDIT: Oh right, before I forget. Really impressed with that one way ceiling you've got going on there! Not quite sure how normal KO's are gonna work, but it's a great stage for stamina!

That was not the game I expected when I saw you mention me! P&D Z is pretty simple to get through. Mario version will absolutely kick your butt into next week! I mean, it was a fun, short burst game, but I never wanna put myself through that hell again! (I'm now reminded that the 3DS sequel to Z was Japan-exclusive. That was upsetting, still is.)

Stamina matches tonight at 8pm. Also, bloody hell @RedShell! You work fast!

I mean, there's always a chance. But there's no hard evidence that it will. Just a bunch of people shouting that this time, it'll definitely happen. But Nintendo have already advertised the E3 event as focusing on games coming up in 2021. So I wouldn't be shocked if it didn't show up.

Yeah, it was more of a case of avoiding spoiling what could be in the E3 Direct. At this point, I think that cat's out of the bag now that this thread got bumped. So it doesn't matter now.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (20th November 2020)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I mean, I expected them to not allow the actual expansion pass to be played unless you bought it, but to block off the Prototype Ancient Sword seems like overkill. It's just an alternate one-handed weapon for Link that, while really strong for playing through the main story, can get outclassed by the best weapons at the endgame. -
No. I'm not even convinced it'll show up at Ninty's E3 presentation next week. With how many times it's been hinted at by outside "sources". I'm just assuming it's not happening. If it does, great! If not, well, it's par for the course at this point.

Friend Codes, Fruit, Trading and Photo Thread For Animal Crossing
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi here is back to being awful. This is really annoying because... There's a double birthday on my island! Isabelle blanked Alfonso in the opening statement. Didn't even mention him! Isabelle hates alligators, confirmed! -
These days, I've played most of the older Nintendo console games that I never played back in the 90's that I was interested in. (Terranigma, the 3 Earthbound games, Lufia, etc.) So there isn't much left on my miss list outside of the first three Dragon Quests. (DQ III is getting that HD-2D Remake, so that one will be fixed soon) Chances are, if there's an older game I want to play, it'll be a PS1 RPG. The one I'm mostly interested in is Breath Of Fire III (and IV).

Oh right, now that I've finally got my Palamute to Level 50, I should switch back to Palico and resume doing precisely that! I'm very thankful that doing a specific mix of Ibushi/Narwa armour gets you both on top of the 8 other skills! Absolutely bonkers! (Granted, Window is one level short of being maxed, but it still does the job nicely)
-
You mean everyone doesn't just roll through that with the combo of Evade Window and Evade Extender!? Because that's my answer to, like, 95% of attacks.
-
There's no denying it, doing that for no reason would be beyond odd. But aren't some of the people who did Octopath Traveller working on DQ III HD-2D right now? I'd be legit surprised if they were doing a HD-2D Final Fantasy at the same time. Then again, it could be more of a straightforward "2D" remake? Or a new 3D one? Or it could just be Square getting ready for another HD-2D project after Dragon Quest is done?

He asked for surprising revelations. But seriously, this is a good one. And it always amuses me how close in tone the two series get at times.

Man, Resi Evil 4 on Switch still annoys me. Here's a great opportunity to combine the HD version with motion controls kinda like the Wii version, but nope, couldn't be bothered! So close to getting a proper definitive version there...
-
Why can't you change the logo for a re-release Capcom couldn't even bothered to make a decent icon for the Switch Menu (It's just a screenshot of the title screen, and it's not even a good one)

Super New Nintendo Switch Deluxe XL - Name prediction thread

I use the kickstand a lot for the internet connection where I live (The TV just isn't even near to close enough). Tabletop lets me play handheld with the Pro Controller very comfortably. -
I was voice chatting with him last night, and the sheer excitement the two of us had in our voice during that was something else! It was spectacular! Glad I was already dead when he went on that rampage. Well, when you're aiming to finish Classic 9.9 with every character, you kinda have to learn their quirks or die horribly. It's why I love Smash. We're at 87 characters now(!?), and it's still managed to maintain that philosophy of simple and uniform control schemes throughout. Sure, there's an initial learning step at the start (How to use Up B to recover, learning the difference between tilting and tapping the stick, etc.), but once you have that down, you can do decently enough with any character. I mean, there are some more nuances to certain characters (Remember guys, Monado Buster is for racking up damage, Monado Smash is for finishing someone off), but anyone who knows the basics could probably get through Classic Mode on the default difficulty with relatively little effort with anyone. I've always thought more traditional fighting games were too complex for me to bother learning, Smash covers that for me nicely. It even taught how to pull off a Hadoken in Street Fighter, it's that accessible!

Nintendo Direct | E3 2021 + Treehouse Live (15th June 2021 @ 17:00 BST)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Fair warning! There's a pretty credible leak of something that is probably gonna show up here. Credible as in the official Japanese website was accidentally updated early with a release date of November this year. So it's quite likely it was gonna be shown here. And it's a game that was revealed quite a way back. I'm not gonna mention the title here, but if you really want to know, then I guess I'll put it on my wall? So you can click my name and find out. And that's all I'm gonna say on the matter. Might be time to start avoiding ResetEra... apart from the usual reasons. -
Yep, this is me. I can adapt pretty well when I'm playing an XBox game as long as the game doesn't actually tell me what a button does. Because the moment a big massive prompt telling me to press Y shows up. I will press the left face button, 100% of the time! Shenmue 2 was an effing nightmare because of this!
-
I also noticed you lifting Great Smash Ball a little, made pulling off an immediate Air Dodge after trampoline manuever more manageable. Started cracking up laughing when I, as Pikachu, got stuck in a proper death loop though! God damn! I am truly dreadful with Diddy though. Fast and with decent combo options sounds like my kind of thing, but I just can't! I haven't been good with him since Brawl.

Oh bugger! Slipped my mind. Stock Format tonight at 8pm.

Now, this is an interesting angle. At what point does it become getting some mileage from a game you enjoy to obsessing over getting everything you can.
