While I'm not exactly keen on E.M.M.I (Constant stealth requirements with a punishment of instant death if caught? That is the least fun thing ever!), I am keen on seeing some kind of conclusion to Metroid Fusion's plot at last. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who's most intrigued by this little shot in the trailer. Rudimentary Metroid lore knowledge basically screams "It's got a beak! It's wearing something that sorta looks like Samus' old Power Suit! That's an Effing Chozo!" Mad to think that after 35 years, we might finally see one that isn't, you know, dead!

Ah nuts! That would've been my second guess! It's so difficult that I end up just waiting for about 20 seconds and then just bum rushing the stage, hoping to hit the goal at full speed.

There's still the later deep dive presentation, which will no doubt have some Mii costumes in it to crush more dreams, so I'll wait until then.

Far too late to get in Smash Ultimate. Anyway, those people clamouring for Advance Wars better put their money where their mouth is, because if this doesn't meet expectations, it's going dormant again!

That was great, even with the wet fart ending! Metroid Dread was a legit shock! Kinda surprised they went with Kazuma and not Heihachi as a Tekken rep for Smash. Unfortunately, being a Namco series, that kills Lloyd's chances. All in for WarioWare Get it Together. And I'm SO glad that the Master Cycle is a DLC weapon for Age of Calamity! Even better that Zelda gets it! She continues to have the fun weapons!

A reminder that the only Smash 4 Mii costume not in Ultimate at this point is Tales of Symphonia's Lloyd Irving. This could be the point where those fans are finally put out of their misery, one way or another.

I'm part of that. Even if it does show, I don't expect much time spent on it. Mainly because I think it's gonna be a 2022 release, and expectations have already been tempered by Nintendo saying it's mostly 2021 titles.

So, I've started playing this, 1 and a half hours in, so I'll refrain on what I think of the gameplay as of now, it's too early. I just wanted to say a few things. - I'm incredibly glad that @Dcubed showed me how to systematically change the button layout so that A B X Y matched Nintendo's layout. That impromptu Karaoke session would've been an absolute nightmare otherwise. - This GIF made up 50% of my prior knowledge of the series; It's just as hilarious in context! - So far, not completely engaged with the main plot. Very early days, of course, but the silly tutorials have been more entertaining.

We've already peaked!

I mean, I joke about how all I need is a new Smash Character and I'm satisfied. But I can honestly say this time that will actually get them to second place. The standard is that pathetic! At least Capcom's wasn't as flat out insulting as Square's. Silver linings, I suppose.
