Oh yeah, totally agree on that front. People will moan, but if it means we can avoid retreating back to a total lockdown again, then that's fine by me.

Yeah, this is a problem a lot of people are having. I find that continuously hitting retry will get it through eventually. For now, we'll just have to wait until Nintendo release a fix.

Oh no, it just dawned on me. I resumed my playthrough of this game the day before the Square conference. Literally saw that cutscene! It's all my fault! I foolishly played with dangerously edgy games and now I've accidentally shanked Final Fantasy with it!

Most E3's recently, I basically mostly care about the Nintendo and Devolver conference. If something else happens to surprise me in a good way, great! But even so, when @Dcubed sent me a WhatsApp message saying "Final Fantasy 1-6" I got super hyped, only for that feeling to be immediately dashed by him having to send me a message shortly after saying "Steam/Mobile only" It's so incredibly tone deaf! And as more details about that came to light, it got worse. (Individual purchases, graphics look like FFIV throughout, which implies that FFVI will still look worse then the SNES original!) And then you end on a tonal dissonant Final Fantasy spin off so incredibly edgy that it makes Shadow the Hedgehog look poignant? All while FF XVI, Square's biggest upcoming title, gets relegated to a 3 second clip in a montage? Might as well not have bothered.

I keep picturing this random un-Final Fantasy looking bloke fighting big mainstays of the series, and then someone mocks this up... ...and I just lose my mind in laughter!

Oh man, that guy does kind of look like Eminem! And that's all I'll ever see now!

No footage isn't exactly promising. Some of the mobile versions are really ugly.

You can't ignore me! I'm one quarter of the N-Europe PMD Fan Club! But fine, you know what? I'll give one of them a fair chance. Recommend me one. One early enough where it won't matter if I miss a few plot details, but one that's, you know, high on the Yakuza quality table. And keep in mind, @Dcubed is my access to XBox gaming, so you better make it a good one. Because I won't have 24/7 access to it. And if I'm not sold, I'll go straight to 7.

I would have, if they didn't remove all the other Kingdom Heart games during lockdown. Wait, are you talk about Kingdom Hearts or Yakuza? Because I'm not really keen to play the earlier Yakuza games. Switching to a Turn-Based RPG is what caught my interest in the first place. The beat-em-up genre isn't really the kind of gameplay that will help me ignore the open-world trappings the series has, but I can deal with it if it has solid RPG elements. (It's the only reason I could tolerate Xenoblade X)

While Dcubed was out doing smelly job stuff, I booted up SNES online app and played Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Chances are, I've already talked about this game, so I won't go into too much detail. All you need to know is I think it's the best of the trilogy even though it has Rocket Rush, which is awful. Truly, the "Tubular" of the DKC trilogy. I'm faster and better than an elderly monkey! I did stumble upon a weird glitch though. Not sure what happened there, but that DK coin is pretty tricky, so I'm not complaining.
