The beta is probably behind schedule, it happens, it's not surprising. Far better than doing a Ubisoft and releasing a broken game on time. It's not a big delay really, just shy of seven weeks away.

I'm being super lazy with my house purchase now, not chasing anyone up about it or anything. I'm just going to rely on the estate agent to do that, since it helps them close the sale and get their cut. At first I was real excited, now all the negatives are weighing me down a bit. It's out of the way, further from my friends (not that I have many friends living around me at the moment anyway) and the area is not that nice. But, it has a nice garden, a garage, and most importantly, it will be mine and every penny paid will feel more like saving money (towards moving into a nicer place) rather than burning it on rent. A steady framerate is really all that matters in multiplayer. Ping is going to have much more of an effect than FPS. At that point you could start to argue that people who pay for expensive surround sound have advantages.... Any difference is so minor it's going to be eclipsed by the difference in skill level very quickly.

Are you ringing the solicitor a lot? You need to get on their backs, become an annoyance to them. They won't progress things at a remotely reasonable rate unless you push them, I read this everywhere.

This is something that was picked up by my surveyors. I probably could've asked the current owners to do it but since they'd just agreed to give me a bunch of free stuff for the kitchen I figured I wouldn't throw any more spanners in the works :p Along with getting the flue inspected I think this is the first thing I'll do when I move into my new place.

Play it Dan, the atmosphere, opening sequence, music etc will probably grab you straight away. I think it was my favourite game of last year.

Yeah, has fair points there, although they don't apply to me. I won't upgrade (unless I find myself with a chunk of disposable income and am drawn in by the graphics), and I won't feel slighted by it. If everything leaked is true, I can keep my PS4 to the end of its life and personally I won't feel like I'm missing out on through that choice. He did make those strong and ardent points about the development though and it just annoyed me because his co-presenter clearly tried to admit "we don't know about game engineering" but he stroppily stepped on that.

That guy seems to talk a lot based on assumptions. He clearly knows nothing about game development but claims games will need patching to make them work (nonsense) or will take significantly more effort to make work on two graphical tiers (also nonsense). Does he think that PC developers have to develop the game for every monitor resolution and every configuration of memory in existence? Of course not, the engine manages that. PCs are more difficult because you have to worry about two architectures, two brands of CPU and two brands of GPU. This is one system, scaled up. I hope some of the people that write into that show put him in his place.

I'm inclined to agree, to an extent. You're entitled to an opinion and entitled to get worked up about it, as long as you're not intentionally antagonizing people. That said, Ronnie you could also do with taking things less personally and stop getting defensive/acting like there's some anti-Nintendo conspiracy. On the other hand, Kav has misused "effect" in place of "affect" twice in this thread, this is unacceptable. Everyone point! ☞

When you say "It's why" NSMBU sold more, can you elaborate? (Genuine question, I don't understand) Knack and The Order sold poorly because they're just shit.

Hm, not for me, at least not through the web store. Perhaps its the other platform's version that's available for you as "free" since it's cross-buy? Appreciate the heads up though!

I saw some people point out that there's a connection between this style and the green ranger which is quite cool (green and gold, looks like armour, scaley like a dragon) I'm glad it doesn't look like the classic character, it needs to be something of its own, something that suits now a bit more. Looking forward to seeing the suits!
