Oh wow, those steelbooks were a good deal at £50, that's an absolute bargain, can't pass that one up :-)
-
They "need to"? Why? :p Just because their offering isn't as good as Microsoft's? Do you think they need to worry about people migrating to Xbox One for the better free game selection? Sony knows they don't need to give away AAA games anymore, and that's why they're not. Heck they could stop doing free PS+ games tomorrow and I doubt it would have a big effect.

If you want a good headset/good pair of headphones for PS4 and have a Smyths nearby, this is a really good price for a great headset http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/video-games-tablets/playstation-3/c-710/ps3-accessories/p-6492/sony-playstation-wireless-stereo-headset-2-0

I have that army men t-shirt Cisco was wearing at the beginning of the latest episode. Everything else about said episode was fucking terrible. That ending. What on Earth were they thinking?

I'm starting to hate my job. 6.5 years in at this company and I thought I would always enjoy it. Now I'm not only looking elsewhere but starting to wonder if it's something I want to do at all. I mean, my current projects are shit and I'm generally a bit of a miserable git at the moment, so I could just see where I am in a few months but man, it has really been dragging lately.

How much control does a writer ever have in a movie like this? Tbh I doubt the writer ever wanted a "Batman v Superman" to actually be "Batman and Superman vs each other for a bit then they team up with Wonder Woman to fight someone else and maybe some other superheroes show up too". With a studio and characters this big the writer is never going to have enough sway. I imagine Goyer is drying his eyes on wads of cash at what WB turned his script into.

Agree with half of this :p I'm sure I will love it, but I'm really, really surprised by anyone who expected this movie to be anything but panned by critics. Blind optimism... because of Ben Affleck's involvement maybe? The sheer number of characters, the direction of the plot and the length of the movie was a recipe for disaster from the get-go.

Ugh just bought Bikes yesterday >_>

The Destiny subreddit always has the most ridiculously high expectations. I think this is the first time though that they've been outright told to check them, haha. How disappointing this update is going to be....
-
Well, not to get too far off track for the VR thread :p but that's just the frame, the value of a good bed is in the mattress...
-
This bed only weighs 30KG. I could easily just lift that and the mattress up against one wall for VR sessions! Totes having a HTC Vive room in 2016

It's Monday morning and I'm caffeine deprived, there's no real motive behind my thanks :p Also I'm not really seeking film suggestions, I just wanted to generate some chat :p

Gonna be seeing my ex-fiancée in a week or so, sorting through stuff she left at my house (I put it all in the basement...), helping her take things to the tip (she got rid of her car). Now that I'm moving house this stuff needs sorting. It's been about 18 months, think I'm okay now, but we'll see. It's gonna be strange, just trying to have normal conversations about work and the weather and crap, ignoring the elephant in the room.

Looking for ideas of some must-see movies I might have missed. Include why!

My day was good got all the docs through regarding the fittings and leasehold details for the property I'm buying. Not only is everything expected included (built in oven, fixtures and fittings etc) but a bunch of bonus things are being left (blinds, garden stuff) and some other things I needed are being offered for sale at bargain prices (fridge, washing machine, lawn mower)

I wonder if they'll increase vault space again... I'm doubtful. Wasn't the Spring update meant to have some kind of significant UI/overworld overhaul or something? Sure that was the initial announcement way back. [Edit: Just noticed "Sandbox updates" on the list, that's probably what I'm thinking of] Well, free new stuff is always good, but I don't think it will be enough to bring people back for long unless it's an arena mode upgrade. Arena mode could've been the perfect endgame PvE content if they'd just thought of smarter ways to extend long-term goals and kept it being the best way to upgrade old content.

Ok, if you identify a post as bait, please do your best to ignore it. Lets get the thread back on track.

I really loved 999 but I never got very far through VLR. It was still the same great stuff but it felt too much like hard work after the first couple of "endings". I probably have to go back and push through with it at some point before ZE3 comes out, but I hope that the third game is more similar to the structure of the first.
-
Well, I already have a PS4. Upgrading my system to something I'd be happy with (from a system 5-6 years old and a low-mid range graphics card 3 years old) would be, at a guess, for new mobo, new gpu, new cooling, faster RAM... I'd probably need to spend £450-600.
-
Well my first thought was that I could use the garage, and set up some kind of... cart for taking my PC outside. But closing myself in the garage and then jumping around with a VR headset might freak the neighbours out....
-
Yeah that was the first thought that popped into my mind :p Problem is... I think that's too big a sacrifice on sleep quality.
-
Even though it's the more cost-sensible option, there's no way I'd pick the PS VR over the Vive in a million years. It won't come close to the quality of experience I enjoyed in the Vive demo. I'm moving house soon, and I'm trying to think if there's some way I could have a bed that I can easily move out of the way :p So I can have my room as a big holodeck HTC Vive room from the start... Although the built in wardrobes mean one of the walls is basically 100% mirror... wonder if that messes with the sensors [edit: sounds like it does, gonna need some kind of... wardrobe blinds!]
