Not really, you can increase memory like you could on the N64 but you can't make the existing CPU and GPU faster.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/Xbox One - 26 October 2018)
Shorty replied to Sheikah's topic in Other Consoles
I enjoyed RDR a lot, but never finished it. I think I'm pretty done with open world games for now, I just can't seem to see them through to the end. You either ignore sidequests and either feel you're not getting your money's worth or you end up grossly underlevelled. Or you follow the sidequests and you get sidetracked forever. God forbid you put the game down for a few weeks, you will forget everything you were doing, every control, every aspect of your character or team that you were working on.... That said, I could be swayed, there's not enough variety in settings these days. -
Yeah. I don't want to open this can of worms too far, but frankly being told things like this from someone who has no way to see things from the other perspective feels insulting. Yes you're right, there are ways you can improve yourself, to a degree, but it can't afford everyone the same opportunities as everyone else. I have lost a lot of weight, worked out, bought better fitting clothes. I've improved my cooking, bought a house, got new hobbies. I don't have any issue holding a conversation with a girl, I am engaging, I listen a lot, I make girls laugh. When I do match with someone on Tinder, I always get a date with them, so far, 100% success rate. But the pool is small. I won't match with 99% of the people I swipe right on Tinder. I get no response from 90% of the women I send initial messages to on OKC/PoF. You think it's a copout to claim it's because I'm unattractive? It's not. And I don't blame anyone, it is human nature, I am guilty of it myself. The things about me that are unattractive, you cannot fix with products or effort. Get a hair cut? Ha, what if you don't have any hair and look bad without it? In comparison, I've taken my work colleague's phone on a night out for a laugh, opened Tinder, swiped right on a dozen women, matched with most of them and behaved like he does, acting like a dick, saying things I never could with my own profile, and its worked. They give him their number, they send pictures. Then he just ignores them, to keep them keen. Which works. Because he's attractive. "Traditionally" attractive. With zero effort.

You want a way that's not going to hurt her at all. Doesn't exist. Mulling over it will just stretch it out further and make it worse. Also, "doubts as to our compatibility" will make her wonder "what's wrong with me?". Pin it on yourself instead, "realised I'm not actually looking for a serious relationship right now, after all".

IMAX is a little different to your average 3D glasses viewing. The only time I felt the experience hampered was when I was sitting far too close to the screen, so book in advance, pick a central seat at mid-back/mid distance and it'll be great.

Yes I don't plan to say anything complicated, but where were things in your head? I imagine you had at least a 50/50 hope that she returned your interest. I have about a 10% hope. I'm also wondering if I can word it in a way that doesn't kill it outright if she doesn't want more, but not confident of that.... The ones Bob posted. It's a bitter, jaded interwebs joke but not without a grain of truth

Well it won't last very long but I am enjoying the update more now, lots of routes to levelling up and decent rewards just for 5 & 7 wins on Trials. Couldn't make it to the lighthouse though, I just don't play well after about 10pm ;p

No, 30fps scrub race. Would've picked this up today but there weren't any copies in the small Tesco near work. Wish PSN didnt insist on having ridiculous DDL prices still.... Can't understand it. Like a few days ago I got an advert for Uncharted 4, they're trying to push pre-ordering on the digital store, entering a sweepstakes, games, social, marketing campaigns etc... so they do want digital sales.

Oh I asked him on PS4, I didn't just jump to that conclusion That's not to say there's free board for unlimited people....

Ok, here's what I've done. I've taken a bit out of that last post, because you both agreed to drop this debacle, however agreeing to drop something whilst also posting something intentionally inflammatory is never, ever going to work and only leads to more heated debates. Anything else like that, flamebaiting etc, and infractions will be given. Also (all of this is aimed at everyone) please don't bring up unnecessary things related to peoples behaviour, mannerisms etc in a debate. No matter your intentions, think honestly of the way people will receive your statements and whether there's any reason to touch that topic at all. In a discussion about a game or whatever, try and stick to the facts and not focus on why people have the opinion they do or express it the way they do. Now, back on topic

The thing with Souls games is most of the time you can proceed fairly smoothly if you just exercise a certain amount of patience and caution. If you let frustration get to you and keep rushing in you can just get worse and worse. Sometimes the amount of patience needed to safely get past any fight (like running away from some beast and waiting til they lose aggro or something) doesn't feel worth it, instead you might challenge yourself to a quick counter/parry to end it quickly. Then even if that works, it was a gamble that maybe left you open to another attack. However, I imagine if you had immense patience and a careful playstyle right from the start, you could survive a lot longer.

It depends massively on how much she's texting, but I'd say for me playing it cool and texting minimally has been a winner. I'm very aware that it's possible to come across too keen, over-message, embarass yourself, and then when they don't respond you hang onto it for ages wishing you hadn't sent that last text.... I'll go massively in the other direction to avoid this feeling. Then again, you meet rules 1 & 2 of dating so I'm not sure advice from me is particularly relevant...

Man, the house I could get around here for 250k.... Dunno why anyone would live in London, honestly. My long term dream now is basically to live in an average corner of my city for a few years, saving up money, paying off my mortgage, and then putting that down on a house back in the area I live in now.

No no, screw that. Kill all the bees. Did you know that when a bee stings you, it dies on purpose, to make you feel bad? What a dick move. j/k save the bees

So glad you jumping into this series @Hero\-of\-Time. Any serious gamer must give them a look as there's really nothing else like it

The action in Arrow has really lost its punch from the first seasons where it had surprisingly well choreographed stunts, fights and other action sequences. Green Arrow himself has totally gone to shit. In the first season he would take out 10 grunts on his own and look like an absolute pro doing it, now he struggles with two random convicts while the rest of his team guns them down with pistols (how is this okay but when he shot people with arrows, he was a vigilante that nobody would be able to trust?) It was much better when it was just the Arrow, not Green Arrow and his band of superfriends. He can't do anything by himself. I'd like to see them use the current dynamics as a way to go back to solo and show a little competence. Also they need to step things up for him on the island, he's been there nearly four years and there's really been no explanation how he comes to be as good with an arrow or generally at fighting as he is by the time he gets back. They're not even doing drama that well anymore. CW would've gotten me choked up in the past with a scene like that at the end of ep 18, but nothing, it was so poorly written and forced. The whole thing with Felicity/romance has been absolutely shocking as well. I'm not sure why they chose to move it in the direction they did, or why they chose such a ridiculous method for it, her reasoning and motivation is just maddening and ridiculous. "I know there might be times where you have to lie to me or people could die and that's more important but I still can't accept you lying to me because I live in a magical fairy tale black and white world where romance has to be pure and magical and there's no room for compromise even if you're a freakin superhero with supervillain enemies" I'm still watching this week by week for some reason but I genuinely feel like they've completely lost it.

What do you think to this? I absolutely love The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place but I feel like nothing else they've ever done has come close. This latest album I really wanted to enjoy but find kinda boring

I think Dannyboy making the trip over from Denmark prevents anyone in England using the "too far" excuse :p Last time, we fit about 12 of us in Zell's living room and slept on the floor/sofa/tables/in his bed with him. Meet up typically involves gaming (board, card and video), drinking, a bar or two, sightseeing, food, hanging out in the park, Rez pushing his youtube channels on poor unsuspecting teenagers, an IRL game we're all getting too old for called Ninja, and in Rummy's case, a lot of sleeping.

Funny to be asked "what's the point in filling in the spreadsheet" by the person who filled it out in the most pointless way imaginable....
