Nintendo Direct (3DS Only) - September 1st - 15:00
Shorty replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Not yet mastered the art of lowering your expectations pre-Nintendo Direct I see :p -
Maybe you need to look for more private options? I've found great places through word of mouth and on gumtree. Much fewer fees and generally better experience if you do get lucky and find one, too.
-
Right, I forgot that Metroid had a dated aiming system. I really meant that dual analogue is a better way of controlling than motion controls, not the old "R" method.
-
As usual for Argos, you have to check stock. That's not in stock near me (ten nearest stores so up to 60-70 miles away) and not available for delivery.
-
I personally think all three are worse experiences with motion controls. I see motion controls as a test product that has had its time, and now left us with nothing more than inferior ways to move the X and Y axis than those developed 20 years prior. It was fun throwing bowling balls and swinging the sword at angles in Skyward Sword but anywhere that it's put in place of a standard control scheme, I've never felt it do anything but hamper the experience.

It is. I don't think the title was a good idea at all, as I imagined it was a sitcom about a homely American family, or a reality TV show. Also it has Noah Emmerich in, who played Marlon in The Truman Show.
-
It's about deep undercover KGB spies in the 80s. I don't think I've seen enough to contribute much as I've only watched about 5 episodes. I think I've stopped binge-watching things or maybe there just hasn't been anything good enough to warrant it for a while...

Also finding the controls fiddly, common theme eh? Also generally finding it a bit clunky to play, probably after my last console FPS being the smooth 60fps Overwatch. Aaaaand the dialogue sucks and I had to adjust the voice volume as I got Sonic Adventure 2 flashbacks when the music drowns out the audio, especially Jensen's. So... struggling to find anything especially good to say about it so far :/ maybe I should crack on with the proper missions.

Probably because it's only your side of the pond affected so far :p that said it was mentioned here

Ah man make sure you post your spoiler free impressions in the P5 thread gotta wait til Feb to enjoy that!

@Debug Mode when I was in a particularly rough patch a year or so back, one thing that got me through it was N-E clanmates on Destiny on PS4. That'll work wherever you are in the world (well, internet/electricity/timezone dependent!) so if you find yourself needing safe harbor grab a PS4 and join us on whatever loot-fest we're stuck into at the time Or Monster Hunter with the Wii U/3DS crowd if that's more your bag! Pleasure to meet you earlier this month at the N-E meet, best of luck on the other side of the world

It's not that crazy really. Even before Sega went officially multiplatform they had PC games. Remember PC is not a "platform", the way it is with a console, you don't need to adhere to someone else's license requirements (except the usual engines/APIs etc but that's not going in the pockets of competitors) to release your PC applications.

Revivals are the only thing I really have an opinion on. Crossovers feel gimmicky and I have no love for exclusive titles. Full 3D, single player (focused) Mario I don't want to dredge up the whole SM3DW debate so I hope I've narrowed this down enough. Galaxy 2 came out in 2010 so it fits. I want more Mario, with an overworld and secrets and replayability. I want the kind of game people are still speedrunning in twenty years time. Basically I want Super Mario 64 2. OR Metroid 2D Metroid titles should be reserved for the 3DS, it's the perfect platform for it. I don't want the capability of a console wasted like I (personally) feel it is with the likes of Super Mario Bros games or Sonic 4. I want a gimmick-free new 3D Metroid game that captures that stunning atmosphere from the first Metroid Prime. No cheesy anime style storylines, let us discover the game as we go.

It really depends on how much you want the house and how good a deal it is. I mean, if you don't think you'll ever find anywhere as good and you can afford to, go over by a bit. But if it's not the one-and-only, don't do something you'll regret. I mean is it "perfect except for the area", or "perfect except for the garden size" or something like that? Are you in a rush? Remember there's surveys and solicitor fees to come, you'll need that extra cash soon. Tell them you love it and you wish you could offer more but you're already over your budget and you've stretched as far as you can.

Haha, thanks guys. I really did just want to update to say "hey, Tinder can work out, it can go somewhere!" - not sure how it all got so dramatic. No matter what we're calling it, we're having a lot of fun, and 6+ months of exclusivity is nothing to sniff at. We're going out for a date at the weekend, back to the bar we met at for the first time, maybe something will come up then, who knows

Reminder that you can run back to the far side of the boss room after spawning him, with your back to the wall, and he won't move towards you, just hammer him with void snipers, tether and Weapons of Light. I'd join you but my thirst for Destiny loot has finally dried up... for now.

Btw if you're looking at this right now and thinking "perfect, I've always wanted a DS4 wireless dongle, how soon can I depart with my $25?", then you should know that a <£1 bluetooth dongle does the job fine with some free third party software.

Can you post a pic of all your Nintendo handhelds? Edit: @Ike

Try not to feel unsafe. Robbers like this are all about opportunity and sneakiness. They don't want to be caught, they don't want to be seen, they don't want a fight, and they won't come back now that they've already got away with it. Just keep your stuff somewhere safe, be glad you had money kept aside and enjoy the holiday Shit happens, I got my wallet stolen in Italy and I was mostly gutted that the wallet itself was lost, and I was dumb and kept all my cards in the one place, at least you had the foresight to separate yours up.

It's cheaper but finite, the most you can put in a PS4 right now is 2TB, there are no bigger 2.5" HDDs that fit. I prefer not changing disks, I don't like the clutter or hassle and I would have a fully digital game catalogue if I could, but at the moment I don't think the price point supports it. I remember when there was a big promotion and competition for Uncharted 4, pre-order to be entered to win prizes. But that was only for digital pre-orders, which had a price point of £60 (currently in a "sale" at £50). All that effort and marketing for a promotion and the price made it ridiculous. It's £26.85 now on shopto.

I appreciate the... suggestions. Kind of. But there's no way you can really understand how things are. I regret bringing it up here, I thought I was saying something positive but evidently I've given the wrong impression. It doesn't need to be called something for it to be something. I'm happy for the first time in years.

Since all videos are being taken down, the controller has slightly revised greys and you can see a part of the light bar through the touch pad, which is pretty cool because it means you can actually see your own colour.... Wonder if it has a better battery life and more durable analogue sticks.

I must've given the wrong impression! Things are good right now. We're not just fwb, we're definitely exclusive, we spend a lot of time together, text pretty much every day, we talk about serious personal things. We might not have stuck the girlfriend/boyfriend label on it right now, but that's not a problem to me. I think if I suggested it, she'd go for it, but I've gotten this far by holding back, so I'm happy to carry on that way.
