Does it get better after say... the first five or so episodes? I've tried to tackle that show more than once and never really managed to see the attraction.

Amazing episode. Awesome television. Loved every minute especially the ending, with the possible exception of some dodgy explosion CGI :p (in the fight scene)

I did. The awesome Uncharted 2 multiplayer and the less-than-stellar follow-up. I didn't say Tomb Raider was the best in its class, doesn't mean I didn't have a lot of fun on it. The maps were great, all the game modes were all varied and good fun. I think if you go in with the attitude of "if it's not as good as one of the best games I've ever played, I won't enjoy it", then you might just miss out on a lot of great game experiences.

I can't believe there's an options screen hidden in the system which can brick the console in the blink of an eye. Hope they patch it out asap, hugely naive to think that it wouldn't be found and exploited.

Yeah because so far that feature is getting great feedback :/ I actually meant things along the lines of map/inventory management and touchscreen QTEs. But it's all irrelevant anyway since evidently I misread canand's post in the first place...

How do you avoid the dragon's attack when it's coming down on both sides on Zelda? (I went in with the intention of knocking @S\.C\.G off the his spot but evidently have no idea what I'm doing).

To be fair, the Wii U is going to add more to this game than a graphic bump which is essentially going to make it the PC version.

If this had more than one piece of solid DLC it would feel a lot more worthwhile.

When you would return an RROD 360, it wasn't the same thing. It took 10-15 days, console-less, to get your replacement. In this case they're trying to get consoles out to people ASAP to curtail negative press and get systems out to people before Christmas. This is all about supply and demand. Stock is short, demand is through the roof because it's new and it makes for a good gift. They don't want anyone scamming the system, but if they do, an extra $150 makes it worth it for them anyway. If they don't, the money goes right back. If you have a credit card or savings you'll probably never even notice it happen.

I have to say, I find that video so weird. I mean I feel for the family of this guy, but the video makes it look like the character died. Every word spoken in it and every emotion seen in it is only an act. Even just a glimpse of the cast laughing in a behind-the-scenes shot would have humanised the whole thing. Anyway, RIP to Mr Walker. I was never a fan of the franchise but always found them entertaining and he played his part well.

I think it's fine. I'm not one to cling to comic-book canon unless there's only one set story in the first place. There are so many iterations of Spider-Man it changes all the time. For example, Venom in Ultimate Spider-Man is a suit designed to cure cancer but then weaponised, not an alien substance. Speaking of Ultimate, Ultimate Rhino is not that far off what we have seen in this trailer: As for Ock and Vulture, Maybe they're not a product of Oscorp R&D, but rather this is set a few years later and that's technology that Oscorp has seized from some of Spider-Man's past rogue gallery.

Looks great to me! Peter's quips wouldn't have suited the mood of that trailer but I'm sure they're still in there. I think it's definitely a lead in to the Sinister Six. The focus seems to be on Electro, which is good. It's ok to have multiple villains, as long as you don't try to make them equal-part antagonists. Raimi's Spider-Man 3 tried to give three villains three different lengthy origin stories and make you care about them all through to the end.

Thanks everyone took an afternoon off to play my newly acquired Zelda: Link Between Worlds (which so far seems amazing) and watch the snooker. Then went out to be "surprised" by all my work crowd showing up for a few drinks and a meal. Free birthday meal at that, woot. Slept well after that Hey, hey... OK so evidently I should stay WELL AWAY from this thread until I'm caught up.

A cameo would be fine, even on top of all that. It could be Shocker appearing in the opening scene similar to Scarecrow in The Dark Knight. But yeah that looks like dangerously close to stepping into the studio-pressure territory that killed off Raimi's trilogy.

Given that it's £53.71 on Amazon I'm guessing it's got a limited release this side of the pond?
