Did Zone Control launch today? Just had a go, good fun finally playing Control where people occasionally defend zones...

280+ is fine @Deathjam @MilaGi, I was about that first time I think. Sheikah was the lowest light level and doing the most DPS on the boss we got stuck on. Engrams and XP drop in the raid so you keep improving. I'll be on this evening anyway if people need another person to run strikes with to level up.

It's only PlayStation VR and HTC Vive, which I assume demand will be really high for. Although I registered for the Vive and haven't heard anything about a space. Oculus is going to be there too and I haven't seen anything about registering to try that (although that might just mean you're not very likely to get a go). Anyway this will be my first expo so looking forward to just generally seeing what's on and having fun

Ok, so Dan and I have had a chat and realised it doesn't really make sense for us to be in the main clan raid team this week anyway, as we're going to be at EGX for a few days later in the week, it would probably not be possible to complete it as a group. So we're officially, and not just in a manner of brokering the peace, but because it makes sense, passing over our spaces to the next-in-line candidates. I think everyone would feel better on the matter if it went ahead like this and then we could bury it! You can't really draw a line under that rather personal attack. Had I made the other choice and simply mentioned everyone from our last attempt, I would've received flak from other members for running the "elite team 1 raid team" and excluding everyone else, like I did in the first two raids. My mistake was obviously to try arranging anything at all, from now on I won't bother. I don't really understand your point that there's no way to raid blind, as we have pointed out there are several other forum members who want to raid blind still. What you're really saying is, there's no way for you to raid blind asap.

I've apologised once and won't do it again, don't really appreciate your aggressive tone. It didn't occur to me that we should keep the same team, I don't remember that being a thing in the past at all, not beyond reset. I was more concerned about giving everyone the same chance, rather than signing up the same six so that the other people couldn't play with the clan again. Speaking of the clan, I recall you're not even in ours, since you decided it wasn't good enough for you. @DriftKaiser I'll extend you the same offer I made Daft, you can have my space in the raid if you feel similarly wronged by this turn of events.

Level 36 Vanguard Strikes are the best way to level up your light, not Heroic strikes. Do several in a row (without going to orbit between) if you can as the chance of good drops increases each time. If there are 6 other players who can raid this week, and @DriftKaiser is free tomorrow, then we'll rearrange the players to restore the previous team. Otherwise, whether I was right or wrong to do a first-come-first-serve, I can't ask anyone to step out now.

So @Daft @ReZourceman @Deathjam @DriftKaiser you have 4/6 already! Assault Rifles are pretty crap in PvP. They were nerfed to shit in 1.1.10 or something. They got a buff for 2.0, but not a big one. It's all about pulse rifles, scout rifles, shotguns and handcannons

You can easily start at 280 though, maybe get some gear, maybe get more gear as the week progresses.

I completely forgot to register for PlayStation VR. I even knew what time registration opened and everything. But then The Taken King came out :x

Sorry, I said from the start I couldn't do Sunday or Monday night, and not many people were free Sunday day. I went to my Mum's last night and took her to the airport in Leeds at 2am this morning, I'm at work now so I'll be shattered tonight. The best I could do was open up another raid. If you want, you can take my space in that raid and I'll start another.

You put in the effort and then nobody bothered to level up enough.... Meaning people who signed up for the second raid team were lumped with people who never had a hope of being there, so they ended up having to use LFG instead. Sorry if what I did was somehow discriminatory, it's the same way we did it for the last two raids which worked fine. Once there's 12+ players at 280+ light, it will be easier to have two teams.

There aren't many machine guns with large magazines now that they've nerfed Field Scout. Even the mighty Thunderlord is a shadow of its former self

IMO, the best way to get something started is not an open-ended message on here. Go for an in-game invite with a message of what you're doing (I've sent so many invites titled "nightfall?", "control?", "daily?" etc. over the last year). Or alternatively look at the party chats, you can do options > view players and if it's mostly clan members, just jump in and ask if anyone wants to help

Used it for Australia and I'm using it next week in the UK. No problems with it at all.

To be honest I don't think I'm gonna get chance to raid again before the reset. What's everyone's availability like next week? I'm just going to go ahead and start a raid now for after the reset. If people complete it before then I'd appreciate your letting anyone who hasn't, try to figure out any puzzle/platforming sections at least. At this point I'm pretty happy to be guided through further boss fights. But this time I'm gonna be fussy and say you need to be at least light 280, ideally 290+, and bring a sniper and machine gun if possible. Sorry, but if you're not, it just can't be done. Just scrap them if they're lower defense than the ones you have now. Early on it's tempting to hang onto things just because they look different, but eventually you will realise they're ten a penny.

Let's aim for a 7pm start, everyone should've eaten and be ready by then.
