What's something you've always wanted to do, but haven't?
Shorty replied to Charlie's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah my job would let me go on a sabbatical with enough notice, I'm fairly certain. I've been with them many years and they're all really good people. There's a lot to be done before I can do it though. I need to either rent out a room, move in with someone else or move somewhere much cheaper so that I can start saving. That's probably the biggest step I need to take to get the ball rolling. Here's a pic that captures what I want to experience -
You can definitely stack more than 5 Three of Coins. Can someone please check if the trials inventory has reset?

Of three things, there are two I've never done, and one I've started working towards. Climbing and snowboarding are the two I always put off. Climbing would be pretty easy given the huge facilities in my city and proximity to the peaks. Snowboarding has always seemed too expensive. The third thing though I'm happy to say I've started. I want to ride a motorbike around Europe. Probably France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland. I'm not much of a traveller, I spent 6 months living in the US once but I was an invincible teenager then, nothing worried me. So it's going to take some planning, money and guts! I've bought my first bike, need to work my way up to something bigger, put in thousands of miles of practice and start planning. I imagine it'll be several years away, but I'll definitely do it. And maybe while I'm in Austria, I can cross snowboarding off the list -

It's next week! Who's going? Tickets are still available, @Dan_Dare and myself have early entry tickets for all four days. And we might even bump into ex-N-Europe-EIC @Tphi at some point as well Oculus, PlayStation VR and HTC Vive will all be showcased. Triforce Heroes, Star Fox Zero, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Halo 5, Forza 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider... to name a few. There's gonna be lots to see and play!

It was originally pencilled for late 2014 though, and Persona 4 came out in 2008. The wait for a Persona fan is painful! They should've definitely piped up sooner. It's not that bad though, and I echo my sentiment from the delays of The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight - it's better to have a game delayed until they're happy with it, than rushed to meet deadlines and released broken like an Assassin's Creed title or something.

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]

Wow, once I get to the end of the arc I'll probably take another year off then and watch again when there's another fifty eps :p -
I want to do normal CE, get a spare Black Hammer, so feel free to invite me along if anyone starts one.
-
Well the patch came out 10 days ago whether you bought TTK or not, so maybe that will teach you to turn on automatic updates! It will be worth the wait anyway.

It's funny because I essentially feel the opposite, don't care about any of my old weapons at the moment. Carrying forward some of my favourite exotics will definitely happen at some point but I haven't found myself wanting Black Hammer, Gjallarhorn, Mythoclast etc once, I'm focusing on new purple and blue drops, levelling up prototype weapons etc.. Whilst hunting Taken yesterday we took out the spider tank using regular weapons again, no stupid infinite-ammo Black Hammer fight, just fun, dynamic fighting! You need to get your light up anyway so none of those weapons really matter. That said, Year One weapons are still great in crucible (Last Word, Party Crasher, Messenger, Praedyth's Revenge etc).

Indeed. It looks so good though.

Is the manga way past the Dressrosa arc? I can't believe I've caught up with over a year's worth of One Piece episodes and I'm still on the same arc :p Loving it, and the art is much better than it was, but the pacing is still bad. So, so repetitive, I find myself actually skipping huge chunks of episodes out quite a lot. -
132 light?? Well, you're out of the Arc Raid Team then :p Skyburner Key? Actually we found the door for that yesterday but not the key... want me to tell you where?

I haven't paid for a TV license for years. I have TV through Virgin Media only because it was cheaper with it than without, the cable box is packed away in the attic somewhere. Being entirely uninterested in sports except during really big competitions (olympics etc), I can get by just fine with Netflix.

I've done a lot of infusing and apparently I don't get it one thing levelled up, but other things only levelled half way up to to the item I scrapped in the process, meaning potential light lost... I got to 252 but then a couple of poor infusions later I'm now on 250. Edit: so you get roughly 80% rounded down of the difference between the items. So only infuse A lower weapon/armour Which you want to improve (but not reach the max) the damage/defence value of Infuse it with an item: > Of the same type from the same year. They can even be cross-class gear. > With a higher damage/defence value of which you accept you will not reach (unless the difference is very small, eg 5) and which you don't want anymore and you accept you will dismantle/lose Perks do not change or reset XP. The dmg/def simply increases and the light with it. You can dismantle blues or purples in the process. At this point it would make more sense to scrap a purple for marks than use it to infuse. Levelling it first means more marks. TTK is so good, I can't believe how many missions there are. I thought I'd finished the story and now I have 3 pages of quests. @drahkon I can comfortably say it's worth the price tag.

Back when I got my first full time job, it really threw me for a loop. I made a thread on here way back when I started this job because I was freaking out at the idea of basically losing all my free time. Now, I've become used to it, but it does really suck. There are lots of things I want to do in an evening but I'm usually physically and mentally drained by work and just veg out with a game. I think my biggest issue is spending too much time regretting decisions and not enough time chasing my future plans. I've got some decent dreams which could turn my life around, I just have to pull my finger out and do it. Also, if I could tell my younger, amidst-education self any one thing, it would be: to make way more friends and connections whilst it's really easy to do so. Socialising is a concept that's very difficult to recapture if you opt out early on. So to answer the question: growing up isn't what I thought it would be, I can see ways to change that, just gotta do it.

Man, that's higher than I was expecting. Guess we're gonna have make sure we don't miss out on any daily stuff. 8pm is fine for me.

Join the party next time and bring your mate? The more the merrier.

The Hunter mission is fantastic too. Different tone, but awesome. I'm at 221 light! With my awesome 270 defence class item. I still don't fully understand how light works out the averages because I can change my boots to anything without the level dropping. I can't believe @Cube isn't playing this just to hear Mal and Zoe argue :p

Maybe I'm being dense, I assume this is for Super Mario Maker?

I wouldn't get rid of any gear except generic vendor stuff, you never know if it might be upgradeable one day, and the vault will only get bigger. Flew through the story last night and hit level 40 in no time. So fun, so much to do. The missions are actually cinematic for a change, and don't get me started on the actual cinematics. So far my only real disappointment was probably the standard strike. There were some new mechanics, although they were kind of "see it once, never be stuck for a moment ever again", and the boss fight was fun, lots to dodge. But it was extremely short! I feel like they've removed enemy wave fights erroneously, just because the vocal minority kicked up a fuss. But really the odd defence section is a solid gameplay mechanic which, used sparingly, extends the life of a mission very well. I found the PSN strike and the
