Yep, I'm aware that it's much different looking at pictures compared to looking at a TV. Also, i think progressive scan makes a lot more sense, if it's being watched in motion instead of a fixed picture. I if you say it's the "shit" then i should not worry. Thanks a lot. Maybe you're one of those few people that prefer blurry pictures.:p

WOW! Really, i swear i will, one day, find out how do you manage to get such picture with composite. Maybe my TV is has a weak point in composite connections. But it doesn't matter, as i will connect my Wii through component. I can see the difference between composite and component, but it's hard to see the difference with or without progressive scan. Maybe if i had the TV in front of me i would notice. That's what i needed to hear, thanks Let's hope you're right.

This is MUCH worse than the 60hz only, as almost all PAL TV's support 60Hz. Now if that's not a typo, then 95% of all Europeans/Aussies, won't be able to play this game! It HAS to be a typo. It would be a gigantic mistake.

Are you sure it supports progressive scan? If it supports it, it should at least have one progressive scan capable input. As promised, here are the comparison pictures between Composite and RGB on my GameCube, used in a Samy HDTV. Composite 480i: RGB 480i: No camera tricks here, sirs. As you can see the difference is ridiculously obvious. Composite signal on an HDTV is really ugly and should be avoided at all costs. It looks even worse than that, as the crappy camera hides some differences. Now it's your turn KingOfHyrule. Show us some Component and progressive scan goodness. I'm really curious. Serebii, you told me Composite on your HDTV looked good. How does it look compared to the Composite picture from my HDTV i posted above? Is it the same, or does yours look better? Because i can't make it look better.

Did you read my post? Are you sure you changed the setting in the game AND on the DVD player Aux settings? As i told you, mine was defined to stereo by default.

Same here. It would be really sweet if we could use them to buy some Virtual Console goodness.

HOLY... How much was that? -
That's VERY good to hear... err.. read. I should not be worried then. My worry right now should be: where to find Wii component cables in my country. I have found an online retailer with them and with free shipping. Let's just hope they have enough stock for me. Oh right... i forgot no one around these parts knows what a component cable is. Could you please post those comparison pictures? I'll do the same for composite and RGB come Monday. Thanks a lot.

Shame on you... -
Pff, no one likes water temple? It's one of the best memories i have from OOT. Sure it was boring to change between normal and iron boots, but Dark Link made up for it. I finished it 7 times, and plan to do it one more time. I've only finished MM and WW once, but i plan to play them over again another time.

Same thing as Shino. ^ I went with him. Some dumbass calibrated the Wiimote really bad. It was very hard to play Wii Play with it that way. Zelda on the other hand, felt great in all that hack and slash. It was hard to aim with the bow because of the same calibration issues but it was good anyway. I really loved zelda and i can't f*cking wait!

Don't buy anything just yet. By your description, your DVD player can decode Pro Logic 2. I too have a DVD player that decodes it, but you have to change some settings to make it output in 5.1 instead of just Stereo. Check the manual. On my DVD player, in the Aux mode, i have to specifically set it to Pro Logic 2, or it will only output in Stereo. I use it with gamecube and it works pretty well. Also, the games usually have the standard setting as Stereo. Don't forget to change it.

Animal Crossing + Japan + EA = Sims Wii Looks fun though.

Yes, i'll do that Monday. In my HDTV, the difference between Composite and RGB are like night and day (component looks really bad). Still, RGB is not as good as i would like it to be. It looks much worse than on my CRT, but i hope Component cables and progressive scan will give me a great picture. Anyone here have tried playing gamecube on an HDTV in progressive scan? Is the difference that big? I'm worried because i just got a Samsung HDTV recently and i want Zelda on Wii to look very good.

I had the same problem as you. It turned out to be the ISP's fault because they were giving me an IP address that ended in a 0, which should not happen. I called em and they gave me another IP. Problem solved.

lawl, it gets 8/10 because of bowser's nose. -
Casino Royale 8/10 I liked it, but it's not as good as Goldeneye. Craig seems to fit the role very well but it's hard to get used to it.

How do you do that? A Software AP? I'll go wireless. MAC filtering and WEP will be more than enough. Probability of: Someone stoping by your house X his intentions being to connect to your network X be skilled enough to bypass WEP X be skilled enough to bypass MAC filtering X his intentions to be to harm your PC somehow X you not noticing =ridiculous

MUST DOWNLOAD NOOWW!!

Yeah, i thought that too. The problem is lot's of people won't have they'r Wii connected to the internet, therefore they will miss a big Wii feature. Would they save the VC games to your SD card in shops or somethin? I highly doubt it. I'm not too worried though. I'll have it connected.
