Got to agree with you there Owen. But like I've said before, if it makes for a better game, then I'm all for it!

Ringu - 6/10 Was a little disappointed with this as I'd heard it was very scary, but other than the climatic scene, frights were few and far between I preferred Ju-on The Grudge. Not seen any of the American remakes, so not sure if I should or not.

Yeah, I'm not bothered either. Would rather a game be as good as possible rather than rushed. See Wind Waker (rushed) vs Twilight Princess (delayed)

I was having a chat with my mate the other day, we're both approaching 30 and we were talking about how much technology and life has changed in the last 10-15 years or so. One example is, when I was at school and you wanted to ring your friends, you had to use their home phone. This was especially scary when you asked a girl for her phone number and you dreaded ringing just in case her overprotective dad answered!! Mobile phones were not popular (they were still a yuppie thing) the internet did not exist, so no MSN etc. You had to go to the library for your research for your schoolwork, whereas nowadays, you can mostly use the web and if you were stuck on a game, you were buggered, unless your mate had already done it. I remember there was a section in a games magazine I used to buy and it was people listing the games they've finished so you could write to them asking for help, which I think I used once - snail mail of course!! Yes, I'm probably sounding like somebody's parents ("we didn't have that in my day") which is pathetic cos I'm not that old, but my question is what things could you not do without in your life and what would you do if they were taken away from you?

Hi, Does anyone here own a Sony K810i? I got one a few weeks ago, good phone, but the battery life is totally dump. I took it off charge less than 36 hours ago, used it fairly minimally, a few calls here and there probably for about 40 mins total and a few texts and it's already flat. I had a K750i before this and it lasted about 5 days, surely this can't be right! Ta

Stir Crazy. Absolute comedy classic. No matter how many times I watch it, it always has me in stitches 9.5/10 On a side note, what would happen if you broke out of prison and were later found to be not guilty of the crime you were jailed for? Would you be sent back to jail for the crime of breaking out, or would you be let off? An interesting one...

Subway sucks Give me prepackaged sandwiches - Egg and Cress for 99p from Asda any day. But they need to be at least 2 days out of date when you buy them. Gives em that crispy texture and the curled up edges just add to the pleasure. They look like they're smiling You just don't get that with a Rokhed special!! Mmmmm

I was 19 and pissed off that my then gf woke me up to tell me. Couldn't have given a toss to be honest, there are much worse tragedies in this world than the death of one person who is not directly connected with you no matter who that person is.

Is it a good idea to raise the driving age limit to 18?
Dog-amoto replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
Absolutely right. I passed my test in 1995 and heard this one myself, I'm now a driving instructor and loads of my pupils ask me the same question. It's because people pass their test at 17, and tell their younger friends that they're going to be changing the age limit soon and so on and so on. Tell you what, if it ever happens (which it won't) I'll be the first to know, and I'll post on here as soon as I hear -
I think what the next Zelda needs is the ability to jump around from planet to planet, kind of as if you had a full galaxy to explore. Something also needs to be done with the pointer. Perhaps it could be used manipulate objects or to collect things like rupees when you point at them. I think it would also be fun if you could fight large bosses, for example, a huge spider where you use the Wiimote to fling yourself at it's weak point for massive damage.

Couldn't have wished for a better opening fixture! Was just talking about how I hoped it would be Newcastle at home on the first day. Let's hope we can welcome Big Sam back with a good hiding!!

I couldn't be bothered reading this entire thread (seems to have evolved into a music discussion somewhere along the way), but I will put my two pennies in anyway. I'm touching 30 now, and went though all that stuff whilst at school. I'm now divorced and have a new girlfriend, and I also have gay friends that I've stayed in touch with through the years. To the people who were mentioning homophobic chavs who say stuff like "bums to the wall lads" have you ever thought that the ones who are perhaps trying a little too hard to show that they are straight are maybe hiding something themselves? I remember seeing something a while ago that showed a bunch of homophobic guys who were made to watch gay porn, and a lot of them actually showed signs of excitement even though they tried to hide it - they were wired up to a heart monitor and such. So whenever you see these little toads trying a bit too hard to show they are straight, plesae feel free to question their own sexuality. By the way, what does QFT mean???

Anyone heard the latest Megadeth album - United Abominations? It's pretty good, I especially like the intro to the second track Washington is Next. Also, going watching the Crue in Manchester on Tuesday - can't wait for that!!

Yeah, but you can't use Visa or Mastercard to top up your account anymore so it's pretty much useless
