I love our emojis They're expressive, charming, cute, and characteristic. Somehow, we went from having a surprising variety of smileys throughout the internet, to gradually having every single platform share the exact same set of emojis. Except for N-E It's the best corner of the internet

Not to be that guy but the character of Mickie is still copyright protected. The short Steamboat Willie is in public domain and you can use that version of Mickie in relation to that public domain story. No gloves, normal size shoes (at least for a cartoon mouse) and the eyes are different. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if the hat has to be included. Just a warning if you were planning to make anything 😋 But if you want to see Disney characters with guns check out their World War II propaganda output. (And my phone wouldn't let me delete that PokĂ©mon video, obviously it's a fan of Mewtwo). As for this game it looks like American teen edgelord nonsense. The kind of thing I imagine Elon Musk financing after being refused entry into the PokĂ©mon cafĂ© because he was drunk.

No, Pokémon Company winning a lawsuit wouldn't benefit freelance artists. It sucks, but that's not the problem I have. I'm more concerned on what happens if nothing is done. If a precedent is set that you can get away with stealing assets, then why waste money on hiring artists? Just do what Palworld did and get 1 person to tweak existing models. It's a lesser of two evils situation, and I'd rather have the outcome that doesn't speed up the process of cutting hard working people out of the game development process. Especially when Pocket Pair's CEO is very much publicly gung-ho about using AI for precisely that purpose. (That doesn't mean that Palworld has used AI tech like that, mind. That can't be proven at the moment)

I'm waiting so much for that mum reveal, I'm trying not to big myself up about it lest he just does a minor "Oh she was my mum" on his way out. I comically thought that when he became a traitor he'd rip off his hood and just start strangling Harry going "You killed my mooommm", but didn't happen. It's fair he asked why they killed her (plucking a random name out of the air of course), and the reason being given was that she was becoming a problem/strong player, I forget the exact wording, but it was the perfect justification for killing a player which is repeated throughout - cut to Ross looking butthurt... Now, if went like this: Ross - why did you kill... Diane? Harry - she was just an annoying bitch Then I'd understand a bit better.

It does look like Palworld has been plagiarised to buggery, and i expect GameFreak (Nintendo?) will sue them and win, but I don't see how it matters that the art/work that was stolen was done by freelance artists. They have already been paid and have no say on what happens to the work after that - that's what freelance is all about. They are not affected by this.

It was even called "Human Grand Prix" in Japan. J.League Live 64 JP release: 28th March 1997 PAL release: N/A NA release: N/A Developer: EA Publisher: EA J.League Live 64 is essentially FIFA 64 for the Japanese J.League. However, it does have notable differences from the Western version of the game, the most obvious being far fewer teams as it’s just the one league. However, there are some improvements. The HUD is miles better, showing the score and the name of the current player you control. There is also some team management, so you can change your starting squad and make substitutions. The “GOAL” and similar text is also nice an colourful. The gameplay, however, feels even more broken than FIFA 64. Passing once again is often wrong, with your player passing behind you or even empty space. This time round, it doesn’t recognise you pressing the button half of the time. To counter this, the opponent AI is pretty terrible, and even set up a few shots for me by doing a lob from near the corner into their own box. Slowdown is also a worse problem, with the game chugging and then rapidly speeding up, leading to mistakes. This really is a terrible game. Remake or Remaster? This is an even worse version of FIFA 64, nobody needs reminding of that. Official ways to get the game. There is no official way to get J.League Live 64.

I think its an older generation minset (and yes I know you are also part of that older gen 😜). I always liked to be able to bounce between different games whenever I wanted, then usually have a bigger one on the go. Always amazes me looking at the younger gen now and my nephew, how they have one or maybe two games they play then thats it. To the point where if I give him something else to play he can sometimes struggle with the controls or knowing what to do. Nothing like when I played and everything was fair game.

I played it at the start of last year. It's decent enough but I feel it outstays it's welcome. Plus, not being able to be OP and being limited to certain forms in certain dungeons didn't sit right with me. Platinum is a pain the butt as well as you need to do two play throughs.

The series producers did a trailer breakdown with IGN: And if you actually want to go off the deep end, Hello Future Me (great channel) did a...4 hour and 20 minute live breakdown over on YouTube: Absolutely! I'm nervous about this adaptation of the show potentially trying to replace the original (I think it has an uphill battle in doing so, mainly because live-action/CG blend on a modern TV budget still isn't aging quite so gracefully, whereas the original still holds up and is timeless), but man, I'd love to see some of those S3 moments adapted in live-action, with just a little bit of difference! Would really like to see how they'd handle the extreme colours of the final few confrontations, actually. Trying to imagine some of those moments in live-action is pretty tough, so I'd like to see if they'd approach that a bit differently. 1000%. The fact that you get to view a recap with the characters, are exposed to certain perspectives/bring up certain questions for the cast to walk into answering in the final few episodes, poke fun at certain elements (like what happened to Jet ), and that they do it all through live theatre with absolutely hilarious casting choices...man. If this weren't out so soon I think I'd start a re-watch of the original

Doesn't matter. The original version is already out there and TPC already have the files to comb through. The game would've already been sold with copyright infringing assets. If they find that the model data matches, Pocket Pair are fucked, and will only be extra fucked if they attempt to remove the models now; because then it becomes obvious that they removed it because they knew they'd get caught. We already have the legal precedent for this, and it's what won Nintendo the Unfair Competition claim in the Nintendo VS Enterbrain case.

Agreed. The notion of a game being released in “Early Access” is entirely a misnomer. Your game is “done” as soon as it’s available for sale; and should be judged accordingly. Besides, most AAA games are released in such a blatantly unfinished state that they may as well be called Early Access anyway

It's strange seeing the same websites and social media accounts that complained about the likes of Alan Wake 2 and Hellblade 2 setting a "dangerous trend" go on to celebrate the success of an unfinished digital-only game (incidentally, Baldur's Gate 3 also tends to not get mentioned, despite it being an example to publishers that digital only can be a huge success). I also think that "Early Access" (or Game Preview) is a completely irrelevant designation. If a game is being sold, then it has been released and should be judged the same as any other game being sold (after all, the updates are just promises and not guaranteed). As for the game itself, it looks completely and utterly unappealing. Just seems like just another average game in a genre that itself is rather tedious, just endless grinding to be able to grind more. Its popularity seems to be entirely based on the Pokémon rip-off side of things.

Anyone played this? I have just been watching footage at the moment. These sorts of games hold no interest for me anyway. Just like Ark didn't. But I'm watching gameplay and i'm just like, what is the hype?? I feel it's an example of people jumping on the bandwagon and trying desperately to ignore the fact that it is completely uninspiring and broken in order to get on the trend train. I would not be shocked if most people playing this are just using it as a vehicle to increase their viewer numbers without genuinely enjoying it. It literally looks like a game designed for streamers. I know I'm making judgments on a game I've not played so might have to Game Pass it just so I can have a more informed opinion but I honestly don't get it.

Jesus fucking Christ, the blatant theft going around in this game is insane. Like, you don't even need to look at the 3D models, that's just Meganium's face! They didn't even bother changing the format of its eyes! From an artistic standpoint, this is simply repulsive. And of all properties they wanted to steal from, they went to the biggest IP in the world, owned by the most paranoid-about-copyright company in the videogaming space? They're going to get what they deserve. They would have better luck stealing Mickey Mouse, and I'm not even kidding.

As someone who thinks Scarlet/Violet are by far the worst titles in the series, I don't see why this game should be the one to do it. It's a completely different genre. Plays nothing like Pokémon. Anyway, yeah. Was wondering when this game would show up here. Suffice to say, not a fan of the blatant theft going on here. And it's even more gross when you see people spouting BS like "They're stealing from Pokémon, so it's fine". EDIT: Was about to post the examples of them nicking from fan creations as well, but @Hero-of-Time had me covered there. It's insulting to all of those talented artists who design Pokémon, and it's also insulting to other games in the "Monster Catching RPG" genre who no doubt poured months into designing their own monsters, and cultivating a artistically distinct style, only for this game to come along and become a smash hit with no artistic integrity what-so-ever. It's disgusting, and it'll set a worrying precedent if nothing can be done.

A Plague Tale: Innocence Well, well, well, look who showed up in chapter 3: Apparently supernatural, infinitely hungry mega rats which can eat a human being in 3 seconds but take literally forever to eat ham. Soooo...this isn't as grounded as I thought it would be. I'll hold off on any judgement until later, though. For now I'll roll with it. Don't see how varied the game will be with those rat moments, though. Also: If anything happens to Hugo, I will burn my PS5.

Yep, I have some Minecraft spirits tarnishing my collection*, despite not owning FP2. *I'm missing 15 in total, but like @Hero-of-Time, won't be able to complete because of the unavailable fighter spirits.

If yakisoba pan isn't part of the 13 Sentinels collection then Sakurai has failed. I'm still plugging away at collecting Spirits. Think I'm down to needing 130 or so now. It occurred to me yesterday that I won't be able to get them all. I don't own any of the DLC and so I'll miss out on being able to get some of the Fighters Spirits.
