yas. Was lied to by pc world. told me my wii would arrive most likely between 5 - 7 days after launch.

Suprised to come home from college to meet the delivery guy banging on my door.

They also bungled in wii play which i'm pretty sure wasn't on the order :S all in all monkey ball, zelda and wii sports = happy chappy.

Cept of course my second nunchuck didn't come yet so no boxing on the go :(

I pre-ordered with GAME in Nottingham. They cheeky gits only bumped the prive of the nun-chuk up 2 £17.99. What a rip off. And they only had the Wiimote with WiiPlay, not on ot's own. So I ended up paying £52.98 for a second controller. I did get a game as well though.

Now I feel like more of a c***. contacted the seller, and he has said the payment wont go through until 19th december and so I STILL wont get one for another 2 weeks. Cost me an extra £150 and will get it probably later than Gameplays.

Hi there. I don't get the bit about payment not going through until 19th December. Are you using Paypal? If so, your payment would only take up to 3 working days to clear, which would take you to next Wednesday. You could still then have your Wii by the 15th. The only reason I can think that your order would take so long to process would be if you were paying by cheque. I'm no E-bay expert but it sounds a little odd to me and I wonder if you have some recourse because you have been misled. Check the details carefully. Was there any indication that you would get the product sooner? It may be worth contact E-bay to see where you stand with regards to possibly cancelling the order.

Good luck and hope you get a Wii soon.

Cheers mate, already contacted Paypal and it turns out it was because I was actually sent a chip and pin card and so technically my old card had actually expired so this is using an e-cheque. If I'd realised 2 minutes earlier I'd be 12 hours away from Wii heaven. If my bank is any good though it'll go through earlier. Just a case of waiting for payment to go through. The seller has 100% feedback anyway.

Since the whole thing about people still having to wait in line for when new stock arrives, I'm kinda ok about having one gaurunteed for within 10 days now. Got all my games aswell. Shame I don't have one now but no worth complaining about is it?

Apologies for language.. but seriously... F*** Parcel Force.

I preorder 3 months ago via Gameplay to secure my Wii on launch day.

Get e-mails confirming it has been despatched and even a tracking number for my parcel force 24h delivery - for it to arrive today.

Checked the number at midday - out for delivery at 8:50am....

.. its 9:30pm now and no Wii. 30 minutes on hold on the phone and no news from PF on where it is. This is unbelievable.

Just my luck eh. Hopefully they'll show up 2moro with some bloody good excuses.

Thanks a bunch Parcel Force. :woops:

Same. I missed them narrowly I think, and my neighbour who said would be in actually wasn't. Then for sod knows why they took the parcel to stoke instead of my local depot - meaning I have to go on a 50 min car journey or longer to get the bloody package. Ridiculous really.

I must say mine did go Whirrrrrrrrrrrr at disc read as well and error'd at first, but after some going in-between around with various menus it settled down. It still does go whirrr at disc read but surprised about how quickly it goes from one menu to another..!

Stupid city link says they tried to deliver but no - one was home and said the left a card, i was clearly home plus they didn't even leave a card!!!!

Famous story among some of circles. City Link has been a well known "almost-rogue traders" who are cheap but also tred a dangerous line. Drivers are on minimum wage getting slave driven with workload beyond what they can manage during a day and they need to cover enough area per day for performance. I won't say all, but many drivers don't spend much time per delivery. It got so bad some drivers protested in various forums, explaining their circumstance. If they can't find your place, they leave a card at their first good guess. If they are pressed with time, they don't knock on you and just leave a card. Other times they skip you and say you weren't in. That way they get to cover the area they must.

Call the depot with your name and address and confirm your item is there (get item number from the sender, it's quicker). Then you can go pick it up with an ID (like passport) even without the card. Admittedly they are cheaper and sufficiently good when everything is going well. But they are poo when things go wrong - that's where the difference comes in.

Oh, and most delivery companies other than royal mail are pain in the @ss when they take their stuff to depot. Their depots are usually in the middle of nowhere to save costs. I have a love & hate relationship with many of those delivery specialists.

Mate, take comfort in knowing you're not the only one. Meik had the same problem with Parcelforce and his Wii not showing up and several AVForums members are posting similar reports. It's clear they're very busy from these missed deliveries, but I'm fairly sure someone will be sent out tomorrow to amend it. We had a package delivered on a Sunday a few years ago because of how busy they were.
