Solo
Wow I've only just noticed this thread, I've never heard about this game before. Does anyone know if you can harpoon fish?
darkjak
For you who think it's just pointless swimming arround random areas, I just want you to know that I saw a screen once (in this thread, I'm just to lazy to find it again), where you swam in some old ruins at the bottom of the sea. This makes me think that there are missions, like find treasures, or photograph this or that fish/place. Also, since it's Wifi, I, and others believe this could be an MMO... Tellyn
Looks great either way, and I want it NOW.
Hero-of-Time
Im well happy with its budget price. I preordered it with gameplay the other week and it was £29.99 and have just checked it now and its £17.99. Thanks for the heads up Jordan. Owen
What a great price! I was paying £20 anyway as i preordered it when it was put on GAME'S website for that, but it's great that everyone gets it for that price! Out next friday isn't it?! Time is zooming!!!! c0Zm1c
So it is a budget game after all? I pre-ordered it when Gameplay had it listed for £17.99, but they then bumped it up to £30. And now it's been dropped back down to £17.99?
Cube
I, and others believe this could be an MMO... I don't think 2 players count as "Massively Multiplayer"
tapedeck
Yep, Im going to pick this one up from ASDA as they have been consistantly cheap. Their £20 Wii games have usually been around £15-£17 so, unlike Gamestation/Game, I know the price won't be as high as it can be. (Here's hoping). I think this could be a sleeper hit in the UK with the price range/launch frame and general theme. I hope we see some quality adverts for it too! I can't wait
wooks63
If anyone's interested, Powerplay Direct http://www.powerplaydirect.com/asp/itemdetails.asp?prodID=1543315&currsec=ga are selling it for £15.
ThePigMarcher
I really wasn't sure about this but the budget title status may have swayed me. Still a shit load of other games to find the money for though.
dazzybee
Just preordered from powerplay, and mario galaxy for £27.99 Bargains! Anyone know if powerplay get stuff to you on launch date? Been thinking about this game for a while, especially as my girlfriend is training to be a scuba diving instructor and is dying to play the game, this price makes it an impulse buy for me! c0Zm1c
They're based in Guernsey, so I wouldn't bet on it. If you get your pre-orders on time from Play.com then you might be alright. I don't, so I'm not touching Powerplay for pre-orders.
Falcon_BlizZACK
Definitely will be getting give the price...But would such a low price hinder the profits made from this game? Selling at a lower than usual price may also sway unknowing customers to thinking this is a below par game.

tapedeck
This is definately a preferred taste. I'm sure many games journos don't factor this into their opinions/reviews. Those journalists aren't exactly appealing to those who don't play games so I always figure they are a little neive when it comes to games such as Endless Ocean. Who knows, it may be crap. But my oh my does it appeal to me This is right up there with Galaxy for me. I now, AWESOME!
Bluejay
According to 1Up this is a petting simulator. Apparently the vast majority of the game consists of molesting and poking penguins and fish and little else. ?
Petey Piranah
Can you indulge on fish & chips in this game catching and then deep frying endangering species of sea life? Whale Burger perhaps Japanese style?
Aimless
Personally I take 1UP's comments with a pinch of salt as... they're well aware of their demographic. I'm not saying Endless Ocean will be an amazing epic — it will probably be more of an 'experiential' game — but it strikes me as something that won't be for everyone, with the best way to gauge it being the impressions of those with similar tastes to your own. At any rate, at £15-20 it's a definite purchase for me. Money's a bit tight at the moment, but it's the perfect price bracket for a Christmas present. c0Zm1c
Arika must think there's an audience for Endless Ocean, as they've already done two similar games, Everblue and Everblue 2 on the PS2.
RedShell
So it was a budget title after all then. Anyway, I'm still very much looking forward to it. Should have MP3 completed by next week, and then I think this will be the perfect title to distract me until Galaxy. Just need to put together some chilled out tracks for my SD card. c0Zm1c
Just need to put together some chilled out tracks for my SD card. Me too. So far I have... Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.14 (Moonlight), first movement Sibelius' The Swan of Tuonela ...and that's it.
