The-Ironflame Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Er so since this is two player also how are you supposed to get a second zapper without getting two copies of Link's Crossbow training?
Gizmo Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 You could always fashion one out of empty Cola cans, some scissors and a roll of tape.
James McGeachie Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Er so since this is two player also how are you supposed to get a second zapper without getting two copies of Link's Crossbow training? The zapper seems to suck and make the game worse so I guess you really don't need two. Hell it certainly sounds like whoever ends up using one zapper is worse off anyway.

CoolFunkMan Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Tbh, I don't see the point in the Wii Zapper. A piece of plastic is hardly going to enhance my gaming experience. I thought the idea was that Nintendo wanted us to use our imaginations, rather than adding loads of random crap to turn it into different things. Ah well, at least the game will be good.

Goron_3 Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 Am I the only one who thinks the Zapper looks cool? Well the zapper is aimed at kids so that explains it.
James McGeachie Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 So says IGN. So says virtually every hands on impression by people who've also played without zappers. Go look around.
Zechs Merquise Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Oh well, I'll probably end up with a ton of them as they'll be bundled with plenty of games I want, whether I use them or not, only time will tell. At least it seems to be working out a bit better than Time Crisis 4
Hero-of-Time Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 At least it seems to be working out a bit better than Time Crisis 4 Yeah I cant believe the amount of bad press that game got, I love the TC series aswell.
theguyfromspark Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 The Zapper isn't for us though really, it's for young kids and the oldies who bought a Wii for Wii Sports. Anyone who is employed to review games will hate it as it removes precision, anyone who feels stupid holding a wii remote to shoot things will find it enables them to play. I'm lookiong forward to playing RE with this thing, me with a normal remote and the lass with the zapper.
Kurtle Squad Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I didnt expect Zack and Wiki to do well, but I just really hoped it would - games like that need to be rewarded but rarely are This on the other hand, will sell EXTREMELY well I feel. Better than Res Evil 4 even! (Wii version) That's because there's been little hyping and little advertising for Z&W, it also seems like a sudden random release, even to me, who's a big gamer...so how the hell are "normal" people supposed to know about it. ONM had barely anything anything in their review...seemed like a couple of lines, yet it got an ?84%?. If magazines actually made a big deal it'd help, and if Capcom made a big deal, I'd definately help. IGN's review kind of caught me off guard...frantic Wii remote controls pisses me off, so what Bozon said about the IR is a bit worrying for me. 7.9 seems just about right. Maybe his weight couldn't handle it. Yeah, the problem is, how the whole world has stated: it gets boring and repetitive, so... yeah, I'll play it as a quick pick up, thank you very much. Even Smash Bros. does after a while...then it doesn't...does...doesn't. Every game gets boring after a bit, but with this being multiplayer, it makes it's playtime life increase by at least ?300%? So says virtually every hands on impression by people who've also played without zappers. Go look around. Got a Dutch [N]Gamer score of 8/10. They say it's a really solid shooter, but say that it's not recommendable to play without the Zapper (it's supposedly quite hard to control) and the graphics are Cubish.
Zechs Merquise Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Yeah I cant believe the amount of bad press that game got, I love the TC series aswell. I love the TC series too, it was the only game I envied PS3 owners over.
Patch Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Well the zapper is aimed at kids so that explains it. Nicely done. If the zapper came free with a game I really wanted (HotD for example), then I would certainly try it, but I wouldn't pay money for it.
Owen Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I want Links Crossbow training...like loads, so i'm getting the zapper!
Serebii Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Didn't I read that theres an option in the Options in this game that alters the game for Zapper Play?
darksnowman Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Didn't I read that theres an option in the Options in this game that alters the game for Zapper Play? That you did. But its difficult because you have to use the A button too, making it a bit of an awkward reach.
Serebii Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Well still, most people complaining about the Zapper are more than likely not using that mode...
Guest Jordan Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 My order is being processed by Game. Lovely.
CoolFunkMan Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 My order was canceled at Gameplay, the bank apparently rejected the payment. Joys. ¬¬ I just re-ordered it, but if it's canceled again, I'm just going to pop into Game on Friday and buy it. Then have a go at the bank. [EDIT] Processed, and on it's way. Fantastic! ^^
Strange Cookie Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 It's out on some shelves. Haven't bought it yet, though. Too busy to play anyway.
Cube Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Am I the only one who thinks the Zapper looks cool? But all it does it remove the functionality of the Nunchuck's motion sensor and make the Wii Remote buttons harder to reach.
Zechs Merquise Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 But all it does it remove the functionality of the Nunchuck's motion sensor and make the Wii Remote buttons harder to reach. Yes, but it looks like a GUN lol I confess, I haven't played any games with the Zapper yet, so I don't know how it will perform for me. I just thought it was a neat idea.
Konfucius Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Yes, but it looks like a GUN lol Yeah it looks as good a gun as the super-scope does
Serebii Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Super Scope isnt meant to look like a Gun tho, its meant to look like a bazooka and it does that well Got this game on my X'mas list. Hopefully one family member will buy it
