mcj metroid Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 There is a bit of a lack of on line games for wii isnt there? All i can think of is pokemon.I know the likes of mario kart wil have it but what else?
Blue_Ninja0 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 smash and probably most of the nintendo sports games
ShadowV7 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 There's already been a topic about this.Just that right now I can't be bothered posting what I said in the last thread...
Tellyn Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 According to that Japanese person writing a blog he says Zelda is online, but I think it's fake.
KKOB Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 mario kart wii!!! i wish- im betting that excitetruck will be wifi compatable.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Metroid isnt online, neither is Red Steel. Its a shame.
Guest Stefkov Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 It is a shame but i rather them pend time and maybe bring out games later and have good online functions. sure theyve had experience of ds online, but they wouldnt want to just do the same again (or maybe they would) they knw wha we want so they will spend time and effort into making a good online game. this is probably my fanboy side talking. i wouldnt want a crappy online mulitplayer thrown into metroid or red stteel lae into the game, maybe with connect24, they could create a patch for makig a game online? so instead of making an online game and making some peoepl wait a couple months while everone else gets good at it, everyone can have the game, then after a month when everyone has it, they release an update so everyone is at the same skill level online on that game.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I know what you mean, but now we may have to wait forever before getting a good online game for the Wii. And in the meantime, both Sony and Microsoft will have good online games.
ShadowV7 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 According to that Japanese person writing a blog he says Zelda is online, but I think it's fake. It is,has online functionalities.I think Excitetruck,Final Fantasy and maybe another launch game will be online at launch.
Hero-of-Time Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Out of the games that have been announced the only ones that really need online play are Smash Bros and Final Fantasy. Them 2 games only will satisfy my online needs. Metroid should just stick to single player adventuring. It was mentioned in the Echoes topic on the cube boards how both Hunters and Echoes suffered in terms of Single player gaming to make way for multi-player. Another thing is I dont want developers to just tack on an online mode just cause they can. If that happens then they might aswell not do it at all.
The fish Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Red Steel is online, but only 4P. I reckon Excite Truck will be.
Shade.Alchemist Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 According to that Japanese person writing a blog he says Zelda is online, but I think it's fake. Unless they make something like 4 swords or a co-op Zelda game, I really doubt it >_< Metroid, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, SSBB, lots of mario sports games.. Etc. Oh yeah, and Bleach for the Wii.
ShadowV7 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Red Steel is online, but only 4P.I reckon Excite Truck will be. Is it? Never knew that.Do you know how it works? TP is online, just not the way you might think. It has online functionalities? You a FMA fan Shade?
The Bard Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I really hope Excite Truck is online, that game looks absolutely amazing. Other than that, I'm hoping for a Tales MMORPG and just rpg's in general, some good Online FPS' some good online Beat Em Ups everything else looks awesome so those are the only things I really want developers to go for.
somme Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I don't really care about online multiplayer. I have friends. The only game that I care about online play is World of Warcraft.
gaggle64 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Surely Crystal Chronicles will have online. I'm sure Excitetruck and Smash Bros. will also. Just makes sense really.
blender Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 call of duty ought to be. Batallion wars would be very cool online but not heard much about this yet. I think first priority in controller then online... just like the ds. I guess there may be more people going online with gamecube double dash... through that mod thingy
goku21 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Don´t you think it´s a bit hard to make a fightinggame online? Ping anyone?
blender Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Don´t you think it´s a bit hard to make a fightinggame online? Ping anyone? thats why I reckon they want to slow down SSBB.
The Bard Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Sure its hard, but it's been done, so its possible, so that means there's no excuse, even If all they do is make Virtual console fighters online, ill be happy...
ndreamer Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 theres not that long till launch, if they did include online in some of the titles there single player game will be lacking. but im sure at least 1 launch title will have online support epecialy when nintendo said that this will be there first console game with online title(s) at launch.
Goron_3 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 The reason it's hard to make fighting games like Smash online is that even the smallest amount of lag can completely ruin the fight. Anyway, im sure FF will be online, its made for it lol.
immy Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 I think nintendo should get nstc to make the online for metroid while retro make the single player, best of both worlds!!
The3rdChildren Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Nintendo are never going to embrace online gaming in the way Microsoft have. I guess it's something we're all going to have to come to deal with.
