Hero-of-Time Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 @dan\-likes\-trees, I know i got a code for Xbox Live at home, came with Tomb Raider. If @Hero\-of\-Time hasn't got one, i will be able to give you the code. I've got one, he just never got back to me as to whether he wanted it or not.
Jimbob Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I've got one, he just never got back to me as to whether he wanted it or not. Fair-do's.
dan-likes-trees Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I've got one, he just never got back to me as to whether he wanted it or not. Yeah sorry bout that, turns out I didn't need it urgently, but could do with one soon if you still have it going spare?
Dog-amoto Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Resident Evil 6 - £8.99 - Worth playing for that price?
Hero-of-Time Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Yeah sorry bout that, turns out I didn't need it urgently, but could do with one soon if you still have it going spare? Ive fired the code your way via PM.
bryanee Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 It was pretty funny how XBL went tits up Saturday after all the controversy about the next Xbox needing to be always online.
Cube Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 http://www.screwattack.com/news/update-microsoft-says-xbox-live-was-down-due-routine-maintenance Apparently it was maintenance. Either Microsoft are lying to it's paying customers, they're incredibly incompetent and forgot to tell people, or they're complete doucebags and decided not to tell anyone.
bryanee Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 It couldn't of been maintenance, they were giving updates every 30 minutes letting people how far along they were with fixing it. It'd be weird if it was maintenance and they didn't inform the players and the people running the XBL status stuff.
Hero-of-Time Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I've just been checking Gaf and apparently it went down again last night for some people.
Gio001 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 XBL has been a pain all weekend. My xbox has been hit and miss wether it connected and the lounge box was stuck on the '' Your password / email are incorrect '' screen but sometimes it would connect with the incorrect password / email and sometimes it wouldn't. Least with the 360 you can still play games offline. Would you be able to with the nextbox?
Shorty Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 When I finished Bioshock Infinite, I wanted two saves, one for 1999 mode and one with a few collectibles left to find on Hard. The game doesn't have old fashioned save slots, so I started a new save on the Cloud. When live went down, I couldn't access those saves :/ If this is a sign of things to come, count me out.
Jimbob Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Had no issues on Live yesterday, no disconnects or anything. Didn't play online though, so that may be why.
Cube Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I got what will likely be my last Xbox game: Star Trek. You may have seen it get some terrible reviews. However, I loved it. It's not a AAA title, but it's still really good. This is far from a terrible game, as it has pretty solid mechanics, a great story, good dialogue between Kirk and Spock, varied level design and it's not as repetitive as you might think. Co-op is also really good. There are bugs, but it's nowhere near as common as certain sites (like Gametrailers) would leave to to believe (play 12 hours of Skyrim and you'll likely experience more). Of course, that's what the publishers get when these places have to buy their own copy.
Shorty Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Dark Souls is currently £8.99 to download through the marketplace. This is an amazing price and if you haven't played it yet, you're wrong. Just wrong. Get it now.
Cube Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 It will likely be gone by the time I give the first game another try.
Ganepark32 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Is that only for gold members? A stupid question really as given Microsoft's track record, it most likely is. Shame as I've been thinking of giving Dark Souls a go.
Shorty Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Yeah, that's the Gold price, Silver is £14.99 in which case you'd be better off finding a physical copy with the DLC when it goes on offer. The DLC is also reduced to 600 points. Funny, my XBL Gold just ran out yesterday, I have 1700 points to use and wasn't planning to renew Gold, now there's this one DLC pack I'd like on offer... :p
Jimbob Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I've been playing my entire backlog of 360 titles, including a few replays as of late. Bioshock Infinite = Done Hitman Absolution = Done AC:III = Progressing Skyrim = Too much left GoW: Judgement = Not Done (2 missions left, then never again because it's bad) Tomb Raider = Next Once i've done Judgement, i'll be returning to the GoW trilogy to replay that. I got enough to keep me going until the next gen, maybe Black Flag and GTA as well to add to list to keep me amused over the holidays.
gaggle64 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Dark Souls is currently £8.99 to download through the marketplace. This is an amazing price and if you haven't played it yet, you're wrong. Just wrong. Get it now. Damn, I'd be on that right now if I hadn't sworn off buying any more games until I clear at least some of my prodigious backlog (which includes an as-yet unplayed Civ V, so it's going to be a while).
MindFreak Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 If you're a Gold member, Fable III can be downloaded for free on Marketplace, Games on Demand.
Shorty Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Can't seem to find it through the site, goes to a minisite instead, guess you have to do it through the console and probably Gold members only... ah well I own it already just like getting things for free!
Cube Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Can't seem to find it through the site, goes to a minisite instead I really don't understand why they did this. The Xbox.com store used to be brilliant, now it's extremely hard to find anything on there.
bryanee Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Just do this http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581137 Go to http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Fable-III/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d5308d6?cid=SLink Click to purchase and when the second window pops up change to MS points and it'll be listed as free. I remember something similar happening with Fable 2.
Cube Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 They turned Fable 2 into some kind of "episodic" game, with the first part free.
bryanee Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 They turned Fable 2 into some kind of "episodic" game, with the first part free. I know that but they put up the full game for free by mistake the year F3 came out.
