Cube Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 It seems that it's around £30-£40 for a set. I'll have to stick with using my PC for now.
Shorty Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) Mate, homeplugs are the way forward. Jus plug one into your wireless router and plug another into your xbox. Google it to understand it better. I'm currently using it and its flawless.I'm already familiar with Home Plugs but the flat I'm moving into is very small, I'm not going to be more than about 5 metres from my router with no walls in the way, a Wifi adapter can be picked up for £35 and takes up less space/uses less electricity. Is homeplug really that much of a better solution? Edited June 6, 2009 by Shorty
Bren Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 2 of my mates have wireless adaptors, both are on different floors to their routers and we've played many hours of halo at both houses, never had a problem!

In your situation, I guess you might be better off with the WiFi adaptor, although I'd always take a cabled connection over a wireless one, being more reliable and all. But yeh, adaptor should be fine for youse.
Dan_Dare Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Is there no way to run an Ethernet along a wall or anything?
dwarf Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Kind of interesting trailer of a game called Singularity. Another shooter which claims it's original: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-singularity/51222
Gizmo Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I'm in need of a new game at the moment. Was searching around for what stuff is coming out soon and found Prototype: I've known of it for awhile, but never payed much attention to it. But after a brief read up, I'm hyped! Pre-ordered it straight away. Comes out this Friday.
Tales Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Anyone else got Virtua Tennis? Would like to play some online matches.
Pantsu Man! Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 That's something I need to buy. I loved VT3. But I don't want to be spending £30+ on games anymore. Need to find it cheap somewhere. Also I saw an advert for Prototype on tv earlier. It had parts I'd already seen but what was in game looked good. Need to get that.
m_fergy Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Anyone else got Virtua Tennis? Would like to play some online matches. Does it play like the orig on the Dreamcast ?

Mundi Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Retrospective on the greatest game ever. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/retrospective-earth-defence-force-2017-article Fuck yeah! Also playing this game in Inferno is just inhuman. Hard does not begin to describe it.
Noodleman Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) Fuck yeah! Also playing this game in Inferno is just inhuman. Hard does not begin to describe it. I still have the last level to do. It's basically impossible. EDF EDF EDF! Edited June 7, 2009 by Noodleman
McPhee Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Retrospective on the greatest game ever. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/retrospective-earth-defence-force-2017-article And now it's out of print. Wha...? Noooooooooooooooooooooo:cry: Better get round to finding a copy soon then, got fond memories of playing that in an 8-hour drunken stint with one of my mates after a house party a while back. Everyone else went to bed, we stumbled upon a copy of EDF. Everyone else woke up and we were still playing the damn thing, 10 hours later! Bloody hilarious game and addictive to boot! Shame it didn't have online co-op, bet they'd have sold a lot more with that.
Pantsu Man! Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 http://www.find-games.co.uk/xbox360/B000OA7WZC.htm Ridiculous how I only payed £8 more when it came out. I actually re-bought it not long ago just to be able to play a game that only involved pressing a button and shooting things.
jayseven Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Been getting a bit more into Carcassone on XBLA. Does anyone fancy a friendly game or three? Give me a bell; jayseven NE is my gamertag

S.C.G Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Wha...? Noooooooooooooooooooooo:cry: There are 10 copies of it on eBay right now, some only around £12 Buy-it-Now... Wait... make that 9 copies.
dwarf Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Yeah I saw that and was like 'What!?' Thought they were releasing PS games on 360 or something.
BeerMonkey Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 can you run a station and then have it continue playing while your playing games do you think?
gmac Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 can you run a station and then have it continue playing while your playing games do you think? I'd hope so otherwise I don't see the point
Hero-of-Time Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 First and foremost, the Games on Demand feature will be available in August, and will allow members to digitally download retail games instead of buying a hard copy. There will be around 30 games available in the system at launch, and will be available for purchase without the use of Microsoft Points. Users will be able to use credit cards directly to make their purchases instead of buying blocks of points. We'll have to wait and see if there are any benefits to the system, such as price breaks, because who wouldn't rather have a hard copy of a game instead of a digital copy they won't be able to get rid of if they decided to? However, a nice feature that is revealed is the fact that games can be redownloaded (even to a friend's 360), as long as you have your gamertag handy. Another key feature that will be coming to Xbox Live is one that we have been expecting for quite some time now. User ratings will allow players to rate games and DLC on a 5-star basis to show how much they enjoyed the game. This will make searching much easier, particularly in the area of Xbox Live Arcade games. Want to search for the highest rated games at the click of a button? Soon you will be able to, which will lead to less mistaken purchases of games such as Space Giraffe. There will also be a brand new Avatar marketplace, which will allow users to purchase more types of clothing, including game-based items. Not to mention, you will now be able to deck your Avatars out with new items such as a remote control Warthog. All I have to say to that is bring on some Gears chainsaws! Another feature that has finally been confirmed is unlocking Avatar items through your in-game achievements. Not only will you get gamerscore for your achievements, but now you'll unlock some nifty items for that Avatar of yours. I so hope they put the Spartan armour in the avatar store!
