Platty Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Ive often thought about this and have thought of leaving a list incase something happens... I have a few songs i would like played: Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps - When people are entering Oasis - Dont Go Away (Noel version) - To be played whilst people are sitting in between readings Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - For when the coffin dissapears The Police - Every Breath You Take - On exit. Songs subject to change of course.
Pit-Jr Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Nice thread idea Yeah id want something uplifting like Love Shack by the B-52s or Hell is Home by Judas Priest
Mundi Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I have this planned out, The Imperial March from star wars all the guests dressed as stormtrooper me dressed as Darth Vader and the priest dressed as Darth Sidious
pedrocasilva Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 hmmmm.... various songs I guess... for epic song I think "Lux Aeterna" and "Riddle of Steel, Riders of Doom" could do the trick... For Punk rock... "jaw knee music"by NOFX, "man overboard" from blink, "Face the Truth" by Rufio, "My own way" from pennywise and "bullion" by millencolin for Emo... "until the day I die" by story of the year would be good

Mr. Bananagrabber Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 'Winter' by Josh Radin would have to be the one for me. It's so sad.
Guest Jordan Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I always fancied Guns 'n roses - Welcome to the jungle. Failing that Europe - The final countdown, with a laser/lights show would be nice.
Kav Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I take it you just watched the film on channel five Yeah, never miss it, love it! The title music is just awe inspiring!
James Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Ive always thought about this. same as soag Guns N Roses - November Rain.
BlueStar Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Going Underground. Of if I'm cremated I want "I'm on the highway to hell" blasting out as soon as the coveyor belt starts to move.
Dan_Dare Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 The title music from The Terminator its just awesome!!!! is it the same as the theme in t2? to my eternal shame i still havent seen the first film.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 'The Touch' by Stan Bush. simple, effective and the theme to transformers the movie. I cant believe someone else wants that song. Its simply an amazing tune taht everyone should hear. Dan Dare you have just earned a cookie for liking that song.
Dawn Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 The snooker theme tune, whatever its called, you know the tinkley piano one.

jayseven Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 hmmmm.... various songs I guess...for Emo... "until the day I die" by story of the year would be good For me! aw thanks, you shouldn't have! ... No really.. No. JustNo. mewithoutyou - January 1979 jimmy eat world - For Me This Is Heaven AFI - This Time Imperfect The Used - Blue and Yellow.. I think Poetic Tragedy would be better suited though. Brand New - Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't Motion City Soundtrack - Let's Get Fucked Up and Die just for her... Dixie Chicks - Travelling Soldier, Maximo Park - Going Missing and Kings Of Leon - King Of The Rodeo. .. And shorty will say "Bright Eyes - No Lies, Just Love" :P
ThePigMarcher Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Nice thread. Being a pessimistic being this is something I have contemplated far too often. I do have a list of 15 songs for my wake , but the 3 that I highlighted for my funeral are :- Alice In Chains - 'Down In A Hole' Nine Inch Nails - 'Hurt' and Smashing Pumpkins - 'Today'
CooInTheZoo Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I want Bucci Bags - More Lemonade (the Scissor Sisters version) because im sure its about a urine fetish.... nah lol i probably want something a little more deep. Robbie William's Angels is the most popular funeral song ever fact EDIT: AFI - This Time Imperfect i love that song so much. definatly maybe mine too.
Domo Kun Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Queen - Another One Bites the Dust I also want holograms of myself to haunt the audience and disrupt the ceremony. I want a cup attached to a wire to fly about and for a recording of my voice to say something along the lines of, 'You have made me aaaaangry!'
Monopolyman Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I'd like to have the imperial march played, myself. During the eulogies, I'd like to play the start of the imperial march (the 'don-didily-don-don' part), and have that looped, then when the coffin itself is going down, the infamous orchestral part plays. Call me old fashioned, but I'dlike to go out with a bang, myself.
Owen Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 My nan wants Frank Sinatra's 'I did it my way' Theres no denying that i can assure you.....
