I've noticed on my facebook that several people have mentioned that they are watching the film. Literally, watching the film right there and then. Not sure how clever it is advertising all that on facebook.

S'true. People shouldn't really be broadcasting that.

I mean, I'm not about to watch it.

Personally I thought the latest trailer doing the rounds on the TV looked awful, but then I've never seen any of the Expendables films so I'm probably not qualified to comment. :heh:

It's just that the original film seemed to at least have some merit to it, then to a lesser extent the second one - probably on-par with the first I'm guessing? - but the third just seems like a quick cash-in; at least that's the 'trailer impression' that I got from it. ::shrug:

Its the impression i'm getting from it, and they've lowered the rating to get the kiddies in to increase that revenue!

It was meant to be a fun film harking back to 80's action and when everything didn't get lower age ratings to be family friendly, so had al the over the top violence like we'd have seen in Aliens/robocop/Total recall etc...and the first did that (DAT autoshotgun scene)....now by the third, they've become what the film was conceived to fight against, (similarly to the total recall and robocop reboots did).

I'm sure there will be the inevitable directors cut dvd/blueray at an 15/18 rating
