I loved that show. :) Mr. Shake-Hands Man was genius.

Why is TV so poo now? :blank:

So true... :D

I'm not sure but I know it's one of the reasons that I play videogames more than I do anything else entertainment related such as TV etc, I tend to only properly sit down and watch one programme a week if that. :blank:

At times like this I am grateful for my backlog of games across all formats.

Anyine tried out that blok drop u game on offer atm? i know fifty pence aint a major saving, but eighty p for a punt on a game aint no great sacrifice for my wallet(oh noes mobile gaming mentality) but yeah...little tempted. reminds me of something ive played befofre but cant quite place what - 2d boomblox springs to mind and maybe a tad of misremembered crayon physics.

scram kitty is tempting me too, got some creds sitting on the shop so not really even making purchases for thiese...

(typing on my wii u, do half wish there were two stylii for this, currently using a pen tip as well just feels much less slow with two!)

The worst thing that happened to television was the neutering of the regional TV stations - Anglia, Granada, Yorkshire etc - around the turn of the millennium. These places worked so hard to make shows actually worth watching after 10pm on ITV. My teenage years (the 1990s) were spent enjoying programmes like The Warehouse, The Magic & Mystery Show, The Mysterious West and several ghost stories, dating and arts shows that I can't even remember the names of, but they were great! These programmes were so obscure it's even hard to find out about them on the internet... but then, they were pre-internet. I'm old. It was a different age. Nowadays TV channels go for films, films, films - cheap to show and repeated endlessly, but it's crap for the viewer.

Anyway, that's off-topic, so to say something on-topic: can't wait for Shantae 3 and Shovel Knight!

I have both. Block drop is REALLY cheap, a bit nasty, but actually I quite like, though I'm a sucker for a puzzler. For less than a quid you can't really go wrong. Scram is WELL WORTH IT!

Cheers @dazzybee, though the game done changed just seeing in londragon's post that Child of Light is coming up for discount too! Was literally thinking as I made my last post I'll probably not get that until it's on a price reduction. Will have to check if it's enough credit for all 3...

Why do bloody reductions appeal to me so!

So there's another huge monster sale tomorrow for games with smash characters in. Excellent. I'm most excited about all megaman games half price - I'll buy the lot!

Punch out games half price too, but annoyed as I've just. Bought super punch out and haven't touched it... Oh well!

Yeah imma pick me up some Kid Icarus. I've never played it!! :o

Am I in for a treat?!

Hmm, veteran characters next week you say?! This excites me for 2 reasons...

1. We may finally, finally, FINALLY see a Ness reveal for Earthbound. I literally can't breathe at the prospect.

2. OoT may get a sale!!

Fingers crossed on both!!

Well now! Guess I'm upgrading MM1-6 to Wii U VC status then! :hehe:

Sorry Mega Man Anniversary Collection and MM1-3 US Wii VC, but you're all useless now :p (ok, the two Power Fighters games are alright I suppose, so MMAC isn't completely useless yet...)

Have you not played it before or do you just want it digitally?

Want it digitally. Didn't want to pay £29.99 for it again no matter how good the game is.

So what guesses could we have for classic character games in the sale? I'll probably have most but be great if there are more bargains I could snap up!

Probably the Zelda NES/SNES games, F-Zero and maybe some Kirby ones as well.

I thought we were getting a veteran smash bro character sale?!

Nintendo will post it later in the week, they did the same last week. Spring it on us tomorrow or Wednesday.

Ooooh ok thanks! Also, I just wanted to say thanks for posting these every week londragon! : peace:

I always look forward to your post in these threads to see what downloadable goodness is (or often isn't :heh: ) available!

I got ASS FLAG 6 months ago as a physical copy, played it for an hour and never touched it again. This is why you should never buy 3 games at the same time :P

Anyway, after the sale I noticed some miiverse activity about it and finally started to get stuck in with it this week and I love it, totally worth the £9.99 I would say. Sadly for me, the receipt in my case says £22.00 :P If only I'd have waited!
