dwarf Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Joel will die or be split from Ellie (?) in a sacrificial scrap at the end, guaranteed.
Daft Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 The twist is that Ellie and Joel are actually totally immune to the virus and are humanity's last....something blah blah.
Retro_Link Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) The Dog scene in I Am Legend was bad enough... I don't want to have to do the same to Ellie! Gameplay looks incredible though. It did seem a little much leaving Ellie at times and going into the next room when you could see guys approaching! As in, like the game just conveniently forgets about her at times in order to allow it to move forward. Edited June 5, 2012 by Retro_Link
Cube Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 To me it looked like she was cautiously moving behind you, and was simply out of view of the camera - a few point of the demo you see him stop to look at where she was.
flameboy Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 With this and Beyond PS3 is in for some awesome times narrative games wise.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Here's a 15 minute gameplay trailer. Its basically an extended version of the E3 demo. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-09-05-youve-seen-the-cut-scenes-but-how-does-the-last-of-us-actually-play Naughty Gods This quote from Neogaf really made me LOL. Naughty Dog Intern:- "Boss, they just released the new Tomb Raider demo and it's getting good feedback". Boss: - "RELEASE THE KRAKEN"
Cube Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Why the hell can't they release these game demos on PSN/XBL?
Daft Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Because building hype is an art and that'd be blowing your load early.
CoolFunkMan Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) 7th May 2013. Oh. Hell. Yes!!! Edited December 8, 2012 by CoolFunkMan

Retro_Link Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Not gonna watch that trailer! So far think I've just watched the initial trailer and the E3 demo, that'll be all I think. This is gonna be too good!

CoolFunkMan Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Love the box art! This is how it should be done *glares at Bioshock: Infinite's box art*. But multiplayer though? Really? Urgh... :/
Agent Gibbs Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Multiplayer? oh man it best not be a shoehorned in affair! nice box art and bonus' i suppose
Daft Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 If the multiplayer is anywhere as good as Uncharted then YES.
Daft Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 'Multi' means 'many' and 'player' means 'player'.
Cube Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 http://www.vg247.com/2012/12/12/the-last-of-us-acting-out-the-end-of-the-world/ Good interview there. At the end of the interview, they mention how they were asked multiple to change the cover and put Ellie in the background. They refused.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Demo with God of War. May 7th, 2013 might seem like a long way away, so to help assuage the excruciating wait we’re announcing today that players who pick up God of War: Ascension will be able to get their hands on a demo of The Last of Us when it becomes available at a later date. We teamed up with the development crew at Santa Monica Studio to include access to a chapter of The Last of Us in every copy of God of War: Ascension, so you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on two of the biggest games of the year. Just load the God of War: Ascension disc into your PS3 and find The Last of Us listing on the main menu. There, you’ll find details on how you can obtain The Last of Us demo for free as soon as it becomes available. We hope you’re as excited about this news as we are, and we know what’s likely on your mind now — what will you be able to play? We’ll have more news about what’s in store for you after God of War: Ascension launches in March. We hope your wait just got a little easier!
Daft Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Well played Sony. Well played. Guess I'm buying this stupid game.
Retro_Link Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 No thanks Sony (nice try), I'm going in spoiler free!
