Ike Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Not sure if this quite the correct place, but Samurai Jack season 5 has just aired in America. It's being shown on Fox over here on Fox on Thursday at Midnight. Looks a lot darker than the previous seasons. Adult Swim are streaming seasons 1 - 4 and it doesn't seem to be geo blocked. http://www.adultswim.com/videos/streams/samurai-jack
DriftKaiser Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 (edited) The final episode of Naurto Shippuden just aired today. Can't believe that it was only 10 years ago when I discovered Naurto anime/manga. Can't wait to see what the new generations of ninja are like with have Naurto as the 7th Hokage in Bourto saga. Shorty Posted March 23, 2017 Author Posted March 23, 2017 The final episode of Naurto Shippuden just aired today. Can't believe that it was only 10 years ago when I discovered Naurto anime/manga. Can't wait to see what the new generations of ninja are like with have Naurto as the 7th Hokage in Bourto saga. What's happened on the anime since it hit the manga ending? I watched one episode (filler centred around Hinata that retconned Naru/Hina's first meeting a bit) and it was just fluff... didn't really get the point of it.
DriftKaiser Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 (edited) The first 3-4 espiodes after the Manga ending are about the other character's childhood. After that the anime adaptions of the gaiden stories and "soft canon" filler between the "Naruto the Last" and the wedding. Edited March 23, 2017 by DriftKaiser
drahkon Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 One Piece is dragging a lot... Come on Oda, time for some action.
Shorty Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 Resist your compulsions, stop reading it every week :p
drahkon Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Resist your compulsions, stop reading it every week :p I always talk about the new chapters with a mate. And even when nothing happens we talk about the manga and throw out theories. It's kind of a ritual So I won't stop reading it every week :p I am, however, looking for a manga to read. Not interested in Naruto, don't want to read One Punch Man as I'm waiting for the anime's second season, I've read the usual stuff (Gantz, Death Note, Pluto, Attack on Titan, etc.). People, recommend me stuff.
Shorty Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 Why aren't you interested in Naruto? I think you'd like it if you like One Piece. The pacing is nowhere near as bad and it has an ending.
drahkon Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Can't point my finger on why exactly, but I just don't like it...I've started it sometime ago and didn't "feel" it.
Happenstance Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Can't point my finger on why exactly, but I just don't like it...I've started it sometime ago and didn't "feel" it. I was the same last year. Decided to give Naruto a try after loving One Piece but never carried on.
Shorty Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 That's a shame. I feel like it's often overlooked because it was a big commercial success and very popular among schoolkids etc... but I think it's still a pretty good story. I'd be curious to know how far you both got?
Happenstance Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I only bought the first season so somewhere during that, I dont remember how far exactly.
drahkon Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Can't remember how far I got, it's been too long.

People, recommend me stuff. You ever read Berserk or Fullmetal Alchemist? (Mentioning those two famous ones, just in case. They're a must) Silver Spoon is a pretty good slice of life comedy, Rurouni Kenshin is an old favourite of mine (equal parts Shonen and period piece), and Heroic Legend of Arslan is a good medieval war story (though still ongoing). For something shorter, there's All You Need is Kill (a Groundhog Day in a sci-fi war) and Bitter Virgin (a Seinen romance).
nightwolf Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Its not very often I dip my toe into this thread, but I've watched a few things recently: Little witch academia My goodness is this cute! Its currently on Netflix and isn't very long. I could use some more of this, but not sure where to start. The Ancient Magus' Bride. I watched this off a recommendation on a youtube video. I wish this was more than two episodes long, although apparently there is destined to be a full anime of it. Very pretty, much like studio ghibli stuff. Eurgh, cliffhangers.
Happenstance Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Anyone watched Blood Blockade Battlefront? Is it worth buying?
Happenstance Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Just about to start the Water 7 One Piece arc. Any good?
Ike Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Just about to start the Water 7 One Piece arc. Any good? Water 7/Enies Lobby are the best arc(s).
drahkon Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 One Piece 863 Holy shit that was amazing Now let's see how everything is going to play out.
bob Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Just finished Cowboy Bebop. Need something else to watch. Can anyone recommend something which isn't too long (no more than 3 or four seasons if possible)? I don't really want to commit to something that goes on for years.
Happenstance Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Have you seen Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood?
