Daft Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I'm holding off on Uncharted. I can't really bring myself to buy a game at that price which probably won't have much replayability at the start of a handheld's life. I'll wait for it to drop in price a little, me thinks. But I might cave. I hope Escape Plan is good. It looked pretty ace and I think it's a launch title, too.
Happenstance Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I havent decided when i'll get Uncharted yet. It'll just depend on how happy I am just playing Persona 3 and Rayman Origins or craving more actual Vita games.
Daft Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Here's some clarification on cross play. Really hope I can remote play Wipeout HD, too.
Happenstance Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 One thing that im hoping is sorted at some point is that some games like Uncharted disconnect you from the "SEN" when you start playing them so things like the party chat feature arent able to work.

Whilst your in a thread mentioning Persona....I just wondered is the original one on PSP worth playing? Noticed it's in sale for 9.99 on Playstation Store (8.99 for plus) thought about picking it up and consider you an expert somewhat on the series.
Happenstance Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) Unfortunately ive only played Persona 4 but from what I know Persona 3 was where they switched to a more battle/social aspect to the series and I think the first two were a lot more battle focused so I guess it depends what you are looking for from the game. Personally I loved the social aspects the most which is why I'm not going all the way back to the first Persona. Edited February 9, 2012 by Happenstance
Magnus Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Even fans of the Persona series say the first game is hard to get into. It has first-person dungeons, a huge amount of random encounters and it's pretty difficult (or so I've heard, I haven't played it, either). At least the story is supposed to be decent/dark. You'd be better off playing Persona 2, which is supposed to be a bit more modern, though still very different from the PS2 games.
flameboy Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Yah I just read a few reviews and doesn't seem for me I am more interested in the social aspects tbh.
Oxigen_Waste Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 One thing I don't get... does this allow multiple PSN accounts or not? Coz' I have a US account with quite a few games as well as my regular EU account...
Oxigen_Waste Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 God damn it... why the fuck not? It makes no sense... Gah...
Happenstance Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I think the only way around it is to use more than one memory card
Debug Mode Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I think the only way around it is to use more than one memory card That's supposedly confirmed to not work either, hopefully we'll get further clarification very soon as the first edition bundles are due out in the US very soon.
Happenstance Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 As far as I know its worked on Japanese versions. IGN seem to think it works anyway: http://uk.psp.ign.com/articles/121/1214300p1.html Infact it looks like they have a guide on how to do it: http://uk.ign.com/wikis/ps-vita/How_to_Switch_PSN_Accounts_on_PlayStation_Vita
Cube Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 You have to do a factory reset to use a different Special Educational Needs account (that's what they're calling PSN now, right?). Edit: Ah, so not as bad as Sony made it seem.

I hope they update it as I don't mind syncing all of my trophies etc to the cloud and turning the device on and off but it's very confusing how you need to reset all the settings and have to set the date and stuff each time, is there absolutely zero on-board memory?
Happenstance Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Im just glad that theres nothing on my US or Japanese accounts that I'll need for the Vita as restoring the Vita to factory settings everytime you want to switch account sounds like a complete ball ache.
Debug Mode Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 It's a pain but I'll probably just stick mainly to using my Japanese account as I have more content on there than I do on my EU profile. So is it safe to assume that stuff such as wifi profiles are saved to the memory card rather than the system? Hopefully I'll remember to save networks to both memory cards I'll inevitably get when I pick up the system.

Well, if I'm being honest it isn't much of a loss personally as well, all of the games I have on my US account are games I've already completed... but it would be nice to have them handy in case I wanted to complete them again...

Debug Mode Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Well that just blew the shit out of my argument yesterday, none of the UMD's I have are even supported haha, fuck. I'm surprised Wipeout Pure isn't on there, I'm sure it got a PSN release.
Happenstance Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 The list is going to be constantly updated so a lot more will be added
Hero-of-Time Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Some trophy lists have started appearing. Strange that SSD doesn't have a platinum. Uncharted Fifa Wipeout SSD
Mr-Paul Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I'm going to see the PlayStation PR guys today with uni. Any questions people want answered? Not sure if I'll get anything useful out of them as they are PR, but you never know.
Sheikah Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I don't claim by any means to have done exhaustive research on this... but is it true that Sony don't have a UMD passport scheme in place for the EU? ie. all purchased physical UMD games will not be playable on Vita? If that's the case then I have no idea why people are against Debug Mode morally. It would be counter common sense to choose to buy your games again or keep an old paperweight for the purpose of playing them.
