mcj metroid Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Warning: This is not a thread for the faint hearted I'm looking for the sickest horror or whatever films you can imagine. I mean films that REALLY push the boundaries of movies. I want to have a horror movie night with the friends and scare the shit out of everyone. Last time we watched: A serbian film and Irreversable and these are supposed to be some of the worst/ best I'm not looking for SAW or any of that tame pointless stuff. Anyone got any good ones ? I suppose the only rule is NO PORNOGRAPHY
Paj! Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Not scary (that isn't a prerequisite for "sickness"/boundary pushing anyway): Isn't I Spit On Your Grave meant to be the sort of thing you're after? Banned in the UK/places until recently I think. Not seen, but it's being remade (joy).
mcj metroid Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 Anything gory or sickening will do. See I'm showing these movies with the likes of people who would shit themselves at the american Ring and Saw. I'm never disturbed by movies. Never have never will, I just see them as.... movies. I barely even flinch in any situation normally. But that looks like a good one. To be honest We also enjoy the occasional obviously horror movie like wolf creek or eden lake. It's plotless stuff but great stuff to watch in a group
Beast Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 I Spit On Your Grave is definitely one to add to your list from me. I didn't watch it all in the end because I didn't like the rape scenes but the parts afterwards were gory. 1978: 2010:
Goafer Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 A mad scientist kidnaps and mutilates a trio of tourists in order to "reassemble" them into a new "pet"-- a human centipede, created by stitching their mouths to each others' rectums.
Oxigen_Waste Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 (And many other Takashi Miike films as well) Alexandro Jodoworsky. Master of the craft. Especially in Santa Sangre, Holy Mountain and El Topo. (This one pretty much invented Silent Hill) I used to be really into this type of thing, lol. Also, some honourable mentions: Martyrs, Man Bites Dog, Henry Portrait Of A Serial Killer, I Stand Alone (same director as irreversible, but not as good), Nekromantik (makes you laugh more than disturb you, but still), I Spit On Your Grave (go paj)... maybe I'll remember more...
mcj metroid Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 Haha ya i've seen SALO! Fun stuff haha
Pancake Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 It's not that gory, but it definitely fits the bill: Enjoyed it very much!
Coolness Bears Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Goddamit! you've got all the ones I was going to list already. :p
jayseven Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Damn you O_W. Jacob's ladder and Cannibal holocaust would've been my contributions. Can't think of any nasty films. My "video nasties" box of teh damned has Last House On the Left, Driller Killer, I Spit On Your Grave, nightmare in a damaged brain (fairly freaky). All are horendously dated and don't really do the trick anymore.
dwarf Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Is 'Last House on the Left' the one with the Anal rape? It was messed up slash weirdly erotic. Shite film but was an interesting watch.
Ryuk Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Nightmare on elm street, 1 and 3 are probably worth a watch as well.. I fully enjoyed watching these and it still scares the shit out of me. its about a spirit that enters children's dreams and kills them.
Ashley Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Freaks is quite tame actually. Unless you class it as sick because its so damn exploitive.
Ryuk Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Edan lake is another one thats probably fucked up, I was actully sick watching that film and that don't normally happen with me when i watch horror/torture films.
mcj metroid Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 Should point out that they don't HAVE to be gory. Psychological movies are better
jayseven Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Scum has that one scene which just... yeah. Can't be unseen.
MoogleViper Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Scum has that one scene which just... yeah. Can't be unseen. You mean the kid at the end?
Ryuk Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Should point out that they don't HAVE to be gory. Psychological movies are better Saw 1 was fantastic for phycological stuff, kept me guessin all the way through.
The Mad Monkey Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Thanks for the thread Metroid Man, I haven't seen Freaks in years, and have been meaning to watch the human centipede for ages too, this has given me the motivation to download both for tonights viewing.
Sméagol Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Hmm, that's a bunch of interesting movies . Unfortunately, there's only 1 () mentioned above I've actually seen (Martyrs), although there are a few on my list to watch (someday). If you don't mind thrillers, perhaps you can add Tzameti.
