The Mad Monkey Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 * Batteries (i have a grandad). A battery powered grand dad?
Raining_again Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I still disagree with knowing/opening presents before xmas day. I agree completely. The only present I knew about before christmas was the lil cat, but they wanted me to choose the cat I wanted One of my friends decided one year that she'd open ALL of her presents on christmas eve and was really gutted that she had none for the day haha.
Happenstance Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Only times I ever opened presents before Christmas day are when my dad comes up to visit a week or so before as we have a mini Christmas then and I guess technically this year when I got the new TV Christmas eve but Amazon had said that wouldnt arrive until after so it was a nice suprise.
Ashley Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) I still disagree with knowing/opening presents before xmas day. I haven't felt xmas at all this year but still disagree. You're also pretty much constantly in touch with people these days due to technology, so just ring/text them your reaction when you get them! If anything a half heard reaction is more good to experience imo! My friend had a few peeps round hers last night and my other mate there gave me a present at like 10 to midnight, I still waited that shit out before I opened it! We get told that nowadays we rely too much on technology and we need more face-to-face interaction and now you tell us this. What are we supposed to do!?!? I enjoyed seeing facial reactions. I enjoyed embracing and thanking etc at a time that was suitable. "Oh hi, I've just opened your present it was awesome" "Oh thanks yeah I've got to go, busy, you know. Christmas day, things to do." Anyway stuff: - More gin - Some tonic (gin from mother, tonic from bro and sis-in-law) - Toy Story 3 Blu-Ray double pack - Haruki Murakami - After the Quake - Waltz with Bashir - Ocean Waves - Lots of chocolates - Smelly stuff - Monies - Stephen Fry's autobiography - Tankard (from nan, all grandkids got one. She buys odd gifts like that) And the aforementioned gin, monty python and headphones from amici. Edited December 26, 2010 by Ashley
Rummy Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I agree completely.
