Murr Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Finally.... a trailer for the next Fast and Furious movie - Fast 5 has been released http://www.gossipcop.com/fast-five-trailer-video/ Now i know haters gunna hate, But the fast and furious films pretty much are some of my favourite films, i actually love the franchise Don't expect many posts of happiness for the trailer, but never mind!
Ten10 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I'd say it peaked at two. It would just be best for them to cut their losses and create a new franchise akin to something like Initial D.
Happenstance Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I enjoyed the first and third movies so i'll probably give this a try but not until it comes out on dvd. Also, near the end of that trailer does anyone else think that the kid whos watching the drive away looks like a really creepy doll??? Its something with her eyes.
Ramar Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 They still making this crap? Not a fan I'm afraid.
ReZourceman Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 HA! "Fast Five" what a ridiculous title. Harmless fun though, I'm sure.
jayseven Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Yes. Creepy Doooooll! I thought the first was alright. Don't think I've seen any of the others. This looks set to be More Of The Same by the looks of it. Looks like it could be a good bubblegum action movie.
James Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 WTF are they serious!! I do enjoy the films, but really!!
Goafer Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) I remember when a trilogy was considered an epic saga. Now movies like this get 4 sequels. Number 3 was fucking ace though, if only for the immortal line "You're lucky they don't try you as an adult". I'd say he was very fucking lucky considering he looked about 30. Edit: Just watched the trailer. It looks awful. Too many action sequences and not enough racing/car chase sequences. The first 3 were watchable (a guilty pleasure of mine, I'll admit) because they mainly featured ace cars going a bit fast. 4 was awful because it seemed like they forgot to add in any decent driving bits. 5 seems the same. Shorty Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Since the writing will be absolutely terrible, they should've saved time and money by cutting out the entire script and just having action sequences punctuated by meaningful nods.
Retro_Link Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I really liked the first film, but yeah this one looks pretty terrible! Ditching car chases for rooftop running (which of course everyone can just do it seems these days!) and action sequences. No thanks!
Beast Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Fast Five? Really? I'd rather have The Fast and the Furious 5, Fast Five sounds silly. I thought it was better as a trilogy.
The Bard Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I'd say it peaked at two. It would just be best for them to cut their losses and create a new franchise akin to something like Initial D. You say peaked, I say crowned. Like one gnarly, pestilent turd.
Konfucius Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I really liked the first one. This one seems to only focus on cars and explosions. What I liked about the first was that they tried to portray the world of tuning and illegal street racing. At least it has Vin Diesel, that also made the fourth better than two and three.
