James Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 £50 on the amazon black friday deals. Scoreeeeeee.
LegoMan1031 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Nice one! Super cheap there. You must have been very lucky to get hold of that.
James Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 I was, the white ones went, I refreshed the page and the black ones appeared, quickly got my order in on that.
Ike Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I would buy another Wii for that price. Too bad I stopped paying attention
Murr Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Nice one Sexy Chocolate (feels weird typing that out) I have to say i'm jealous of that purchase. think after Christmas I may get the Red 25th Anniversary Wii and DSIXL.... not at the same time, but... that's my main objects i lust for next year.
ipaul Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Just tried the black friday thing myself...it is unreal how fast they sell out. Congratulations Sexual Chocolate.
Murr Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Goldeneye Collectors edition (with the controller) went an hour ago for £20... wishing i wasn't in work at the moment and could just monitor Amazon for the day.
Retro_Link Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 ^ Goldeneye Collectors Edition was £29.99. I don't understand where to find the info for Lightning deals. If you go to the lightning deals scolling list and choose the PC & Video Games category, and select Sold Out/Expired deals there's no mention of the £50 Wii consoles and it wasn't listed under Upcoming deals as far as I've seen... how are you to know?
ReZourceman Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 This is ridiculous. I was watching the price of Guylian chocolates. Price came up. I hesistated for five seconds, click to buy and its sold out. Major lolz though.

They seem to add some of them randomly. A lot of items that were on yesterday are showing up today. I tried grabbing a camera, clicked the link straight away as soon as it appeared and it said I was in the queue but nothing happened!
Happenstance Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Yeah its because people are putting them in their baskets regardless of if they want it or not then not buying it so a lot of unsold stock from yesterday is being relisted today. The whole sale is just being messed up because of those people.
Shorty Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Oh wow, wish I'd known about these Black Friday deals earlier. I had ignored anything I read about it thinking it was an America only thing. I would've snapped up one of those black Wiis in an instant. One of the upcoming deals is Smallville Season 1-9. What's the point in buying a box-set which contains all series except the last one? -_- and the 1-10 boxset next year will probably look awesome.

The worst I've seen is Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-4. Which doesn't have the last 10 episodes.
heroicjanitor Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Wow that is an amazing price for a black wii, makes you wonder how big their profit margins are usually though. Until last week I thought it was America only but I still didn't know it wasn't just on Friday the deals were available.
Ellmeister Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 £9.99 in the Black Friday deals BASTARD!not really I tried for that and didn't get it in time
Retro_Link Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Did you guys add it to your basket beforehand?
Cube Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Did you guys add it to your basket beforehand? No, I waited for the countdown to go then added it to the basket. You pretty much have to click the button straight away and hope for the best.
Ellmeister Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Some guy is already on selling the vanquish he bought for £15. As fair as it is for him to do it, its just disgusting really that people are depriving those who'd actually like to play the game!
Shorty Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 No, I waited for the countdown to go then added it to the basket. You pretty much have to click the button straight away and hope for the best. Yep same here for me. Just clicked it as soon as I saw it. PS3 one only went down to £18!
Eddage Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I don't get where to find these lightening deals?! How often do they appear?
Cube Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Yep same here for me. Just clicked it as soon as I saw it. PS3 one only went down to £18! There are some poor ones: There's a Creative Zen media player that went from £99.99 to £92.99. I bet that a lot of people probably won't realise that they don't have to pay for it, and all the ones that don't get paid for will be available tomorrow for much less. I don't get where to find these lightening deals?! How often do they appear? Go to Amazon.co.uk and click on the "Black Friday" image.
Retro_Link Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 There's a 37inch Toshiba TV with Freeview HD coming up in 1hr.
Eddage Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Go to Amazon.co.uk and click on the "Black Friday" image. All it shows is a message saying check below for Lightening Deal timings, yet below just shows the Daily Deals in Fashion?!
