gaggle64 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I'll step back and let someone else do the middle reports this season - I'd love to volunteer to do it again later, but as you've seen I've just got a couple more balls in the air then I need right now. Be nice for a change too.
MadDog Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I'd do the middle league if nobody else wanted to/didn't mind me doing so.
Ellmeister Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Fuck sake. I pick the number for the sod and he gets the prize without even knowing it!
Haden Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 Fuck sake. I pick the number for the sod and he gets the prize without even knowing it! lol didnt this happen before? Ok MadDog for middle league and Tales for lower. Thanks for the hard work last season MadDog and Gaggle. It is hard to keep up and am as guilty as any! Will try harder this season.

MadDog Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Really looking forward to this season. Now that i have 3 strikers, it really increases the amount of formations i can use. Happy with my squad, now just need to wait till Tuesday!
Brian Mcoy Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Mcoy could go out and buy top quality players and destroy the league but Mcoy has more class then that. Infact Mcoy is fairly certain that he has more money then all of the clubs in the top divison combined. Luckily Mcoy likes to have a challenge.

Brian Mcoy Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Why not spend it? Mcoy is getting old and Mcoy needs retirement money.
Charlie Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 'sake. Roostophe gets another good youth. How come I never get good ones?
ReZourceman Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 A 2-0 win for the Rabies means a promising start to the season, but with the upcoming battle against long time rivals Silverdale Hotpot...will the wins continue?
MadDog Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I had 8 chances to 4, and i lost Bad start, gotta get to winning ways asap.
jayseven Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Forgot to set tactics! Got off rather lightly, only a 2-1 loss. A defender playing upfront is rarely a good idea. Especially against Edd and the league's best keeper. Congrats on teh win edd
Charlie Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 A respectable 3-3 draw with Mcoy. At my first look I thought it was a decent result but seeing how the game went, going 2-0 up early on I should've held on and won it. Gutted that his 3rd goal was a penalty.
Tales Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Intergalactico Stars – Seahawks FC It was a brutal first match for the Seahawks who played their first match in the league. The Stars controlled the match from the very beginning which only seemed to frustrate Seahawks as they were eager to make a good start in the league. Maybe too eager as they ended up giving away a penalty in the 36th minute, a shot that Shorrock and no problem with, giving the Stars a 1-0 lead at half time. Shorrock didn’t rest on his laurels in second half when he made his second goal at 55 minutes, by a more and less and funny tunnel on the goalkeeper. The Seahawks got only more enraged as the match went on, injuring Dhillan on a very disputed incident they got away with it, only to give away a free kick to Shorrock 9 minutes later. 3-0 to the Stars. Leeds.M.O.T – Bayern Fish Our other new team got their first match on home field and made an impressive display against a team who got kicked around pretty well last season. For a while it looked like part 2 for the Fish as Leeds got an early lead at 24 minutes by Ed Duerden. Despite shooting at goal over and over again Leeds never got to increase their lead and at 84 minutes Bayern Fish by Rydman scored the equalizer, their only shot the entire match. The Bayern Fish has the potential to move up again but as it looks like now, no one in the teams wants to. The scored is tied at 1-1. Murrchester United – The Comerade Co-op Our third newcomer got an away match but put up an impressive fight against a team that has been steadily rising in the ranks. United got the really early lead when Wester put in a nice cross counter goal in the first minute of the match. United continued their dominance when Wester scored his second goal shortly before half time. But Comerades wasn’t going to let them get a good lead in the second and Arseniev scored a powerful shot second before the referee blew the whistle. The Comerades kept going in the second half and Arseniev passed a tunnel in between two defenders which Chmutov put nicely in the goal leaving a confused keeper and defense. Strong entry for this new team. The scored is tied at 2-2. Complete Domstercool – Hammerboys It was a one sided affair in the last match of the day. Domstercool looked to have complete control of the match, continuously making tactic passes and clever shot, but always failing to actually hit the goal. Hammerboys on the other hand, was more interested in kicking ass than kicking the ball, earning themselves 6 yellow cards and 1 red. The match was just a minute away to be a surprising 0-0 draw but Benham saved the day, and some integrity, by scoring a goal at the 89th minute. Irvine got the second goal two minutes on over time. 2-0 to Domstercool. Player of the Day. Linford Shorrock, Intergalactico Stars, for completely dominating the match single handed. Turned on the Style Award. Intergalactico Stars for making an impressive first match of the season and showing the newcomer who is the boss. Most important Result. Complete Domstercool, for showing that they do have what it takes to get back up again. Almost. Edited November 23, 2010 by Tales
Mr_Odwin Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 My first home loss in well over a season. Ah well, Dysonism are a significantly stronger team so it really shouldn't be a surprise.
gaggle64 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Whoo, good start to my campaign for once. Lets hope this is a good omen. Survival would do me fine this season. Edited November 23, 2010 by gaggle64
Ellmeister Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 A draw against Roosters. I'm happy with that. His team are stroooooooong.
Brian Mcoy Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Mcoy had one of the toughest opponents for his first game whos players vastly outskilled Mcoy's Despite going two - nil up they still somehow managed to cock up and only get a draw out of that, Mcoy would like to thank the ref for getting the penalty decision spot on after Gregory was hacked down for a chance he was sure to score.
Jimbob Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 1-1 draw, against long-term rivals Rising Phoenix
Dyson Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 A good victory away from home today means a good start to the season. Shame there were so many cards though - injuries and bookings have always been my downfall.
Haden Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Roll up roll up for the mystery tour! You got all the players you need, satisfaction gaurenteed. The Sixty Fourthers 2-1 Madpool The 64s started off their campaign in fine style by beating Madpool at home in a close 2-1 win. Both teams lined up with their usual formations 4-4-2 for the 64s 4-5-1 for Madpool. The 64s got a huge confidence boost early on Kurdi smashed home a Baralla low cross to make it 1-0 on the 4 minute mark. Osman scored 8 goals in 9 appearances last season and netted another in this game as he toe poked the 64s 2-0 up in the 2nd half. Madpools midfield were magnificent and created 8 chances to only 4 for the 64s. However they converted only one, Carey tapping home a penetrating Hiles pass. The 64s held on in what was an entertaining affair, Madpool played attractive football lacked a killer edge while the 64s seemed very much up for this match. The league based on this game is going to be really tight at both ends. Battlestar Odwinica 1-2 Dysonism F.C In an ill tempered match Dysonism beat Odwinica at home, something that any side failed to do last season. Both teams played a 4-4-2 formation and went after each other early, 3 yellow cards and an injury occurred before the first goal. Dinicolantonio who had quite a good season last year hit a goal in off the post at short range. Dysonism began to pile on the pressure creating 7 chances in the 2nd half, but a stellar Odwinica defense and their goalie Backer kept them at bay. Finally Dysonism found a way through as Boland lobbed it up for Arber to head home. Moments later McImage who had been a great interceptor for Odwinca was clattered by one of his own players and stretched off the pitch replace by the youth Delgadillo. Boland now playing against a weaker defense found himself with more time on the ball and set up Spirito for a curling shot that went in during injury time and shocked Odwinica fans. After a disappointing title defense this win was just what Dysonism needed, with this being the last season for Brobeck many fans are expecting great things. Odwinica again hit by retirements in the off season will be hurt by this loss of a home game and a key defender. Roostophe Rovers 1-1 Essex Elites Rovers and the Elites shared the points in another opener game that looked to be turning nasty at more than one point. Both sides played a 4-4-2 formation as well as receiving 3 yellow cards each in a menacing match. Rovers looked the better value for money with 6 chances against only 2 for the Elites, however they failed to build on this in a significant way. Both teams were awarded penalties, Ling converted his for the Elites while Mazzoleni was as cool as ice when slotting away Rovers spot kick. The best player in each team was a defender and the game lacked momentum as forwards and midfielders failed to set the world alight. The draw is a better result for the Elites who will value a point as a good start to a league they won't want to leave again. Mcoys Sons 3-3 Bayern Bru In the most dramatic game of the day the Sons and Bru fought back and forth before sharing the points at Sons ground. The Sons played 3-5-2 but Bru with their legendary midfield seemed equal to the Sons in this area with a 4-4-2 formation. Bru made 5 chances to Sons 4 and took 2 of them in the first half, Heinze found his way through the Sons defense and nutmegged the goalie. MacCalman on the 24th minute made a surging run and crossed it in for Lindpere to head home. In the 2nd half the fightback began as the Sons looked full of life, Moses headed a cross in on the 57th minute. 7 minutes later Jevons scored via a header that went in off the bar. After badly defending another cross Bru seemed in full rout as they gave away a penalty that Jevons blasted home to the delight of the crowd. Rundberg looked dangerous though near the end and after drawing away Sons undermanned defense set MacCalman off on a free run at the goalie, he smashed into the goal to make it 3-3. The result was a fair one as both sides looked very dangerous playing stylish football. Most Important Result – Battlestar Odwinica 1-2 Dysonism F.C, Dysonism achieve in the first game of the season what no other side did last season, they beat Odwinica at home. Turned on Style – Bayern Bru, had to settle for a draw but looked immense scoring 3 against the Sons. Player of the Day – Davy MacCalman, Bayern Bru, hardly a spring chicken any more at 32 but Bruslings understudy was on sparkling form scoring and making a goal for Bru.
Rowan Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Missing the top league already Tactics are all set and ready for my first game of the new season.
