Getting ready for a weekend away with mom's side of the family, sleeping in tents/caravans, playing outdoor games, having a campfire etc. Should be fun I hope!

Still gonna have to go into placement tonight (to help) and tomorrow (to teach) though. Hope it's gonna go okay.

Also, advice needed! I want to hand in my CV there, but I don't know if I should put it in an envelope? And if so, what do I write on it? =P

Dissertation done handed in fintio!

8547 words and 30 pages damn. I got a special one printed for myself, metal bound and all.

That it? Just checked and mine was double that. Probably not what you want to hear.

Though I wish I did what you did and got one printed for myself, I did however get to keep the poster I had to make for my presentation.

Surely it's the other way around. His Dissertation is probably worth the same credit wise but he did a lot less work.

E.g At my university, one of my housemates has a 14 page dissertation with some other bits. Whereas, another housemate has done a lot more (not sure on page number). Both worth 40 credits out of 120 though!

There is a quality v quantity debate. But I was going for the "make him feel like he's not done enough work" route.

Had a great day. A mate said that there was a game of football at half 6, i said i'd be there. Havn't had a proper game for ages. Turn up and it's 11v11, after thinking it'd be something like 5-a-side. Was a decent game, took about 10 minutes for me to put the first goal in the bottom corner. Got stuck into a few tackles aswell. Was excellent really, i'd actually really like to join a team now. At first i didn't think my fitness would be up to it, but i played a solid 50ish minutes, and i feel ok. Great day really, i just love football.:)

Went into uni to edit with my group, not a set time, just happened to converge all at 10.30.

Perfect weather - we finished editing for the day by 12.30. Had lunch. "Ran errands" - I loved the fact this happened. I wish I had more errands to run in my life. Met friend in town. Went back to uni - met more friends - drank in the scorching sun, had an eventual event in people trying to retreive my friend's phone from the murky depths of the river that runs through the campus.

Went to park/London field. Played frisbee/had ice cream.

Polaroid apps on Iphones were involved.

So I had a "busy" week by my standards, and conquered some long term goals.

On Wednesday I left to meet up with my friend to start a day (concentrating on) the company that he (runs) and my other friend owns. (Its a miniatures gaming/models company). So I went to "Southfields" which seemed nice in the sunshine. The "office" is now a room in his flat but it was pretty awesome.

So...much....product. It was awesome/crazy. Saw some cool designs and general overallawesomeness. Then we went to meet up with the cheiftan guy/owner/awesome dude (Captain America)

We planned on picking up the (company card) from him, and then popping to Forbidden Planet, (as he is currently doing some back end specialising in the LEGO buildings by the side) however he had finished work for the day so we instead headed to a "pub" I had often walked passed and been intruiged, and I finally went in there (The Intrepid Fox). It was fine. Although I do always wonder why places have to play the music so loud.

We chatted and drank for a bit, before going onto the Montague Pyke which was more my kind of scene. No musicks FTWz. Met up with a few friends of his and an awesome guy and this other fucking awesome guy who I love who is awesome and funny and talented. He does a few 3D models on the computer and is talented and I like and enjoy his mannerisms. Also we have the same mouse as he whipped it out.

Anyway, I was doing a (mini) "presentation" as I'll be the EDITOR (god I'm fucking awesome) of the Ezine that will accompany the model range each month. It went well. They were happy/impressed with my overall direction and ideas for the magazines as well as the logo and logos of each segment. Also one idea I had coincided with Rooneys goal....so I explained it, and then the whole pub cheered. We enjoyed. Also free drinks all night....the drinking made me drunk.

We then went to another place I had often walked passed (on the way to Forbidden Planet). The little Korean/Chinese? place opposite the LEGO buildings,...on the corner of Jubilee Hair. That one. Very small place. I had....erm...Chicken Noodle thing. I was drunk and the green light was directly above my plate (fate), and it was all green. Some friends had...raw beef? In a sizzling pot thing. It was cool. I seem to remember it was INTERESTING tasting....NICE....and the plus side it was very chickeny, as in the whole meal TASTED chickeny, so I guess they used some kind of chicken stock maybe,...which definitely made it good...however I don't think I'd go sober. Also a liiitttle bit too much in terms of asking price.

But as I said, it WAS nice and I did think the fact that the whole thing was chickeny was great. Also Saki. Don't like wine...don't like Saki. But its fine.

THEN.

Back to Fox but I left soon, as I needed to get up at 6:00AM to go BACK to London. (By now it was about 10:30/11) so I went to train station, and got the train...luckily it was pretty soon after I got there, so I got back to Aylesbury at about 12:00am, and then walked home/hoping not to get stabbed (I didn't) and got in at 12:30AM. So depressing....had to get up to where I came from in 5 and a half hours. So lol. Would have stayed over but that would have been more expensive and annoying, and I don't have the money.

-------------

So yesterday, got up at 6:00am, walked to train station, luckily the train was very nicely timed, got in and it went about 5 minutes after.

Arrived in Marylebone and rejoiced that I had time to spare! FINALLY I could try a UK Burger King Breakfast. Literally LITERALLY a goal I've had for...AGES. I've simply never been anywhere near a Burger King at breakfast time before. Walked over to it and the bloody barriers were across. I was like "..........". So I went next door to the Bagel place. Which to be fair was really nice, the Bagel particularly was really really nice, as in good bread, nice crust, nicely toasted, and just a really solid texture. Would have been great with just butter (but had sausage and egg, obviously that was fantastic anyway).

I then left for Moorgate, as (the whole reason for being in London) was because (I was) meeting my dad at the....Chartered...Financial...Hall...or something, as he has...ahem....become a Fellow of the Personal Financial...People...basically the highest accolade of the most ethically propelled financial advisors in the world...so the higest accolade of his profession. :D. (Although he is selling his business/retiring by December 2012) but its still amazing obviously, and I felt immensely proud. So we had greeting drink, then he had his photo taken and also he bought a package where he had a photo with me too! Which is nice.

Hopefully I didn't look too fat, or any other concern I have with myself.

Then we went downstairs and chatted, and then went into the hall (my dad went off to another room. Family/friends sat down in the hall and then they all came in on a march) then a few speeches and everyone was called out individually on stage to receive/pin badge/certificate/shake hand. It was great. :)

Then another drink/chat and we left for lunch. Although we had to turn around as my dad left something there. :p. Then we went again. We went to...Oxford Circus I think as my dad apparently knew a restaurant there (which turned out to be in Chinatown,...so not the ideal tube station) = epic walking, but still. We finally found it (took a long time to walk and find it) and it was closed. :/

However a few doors down we found another one. Fucking immense. I don't know if anyone else has been but I think it was called "Mr Wong" or something, down (Lile Street?). It was so good. God.

We had (Chicken Satay. My dad had Prawn Satay) then Duck Pancakes, then we shared Crispy Chilli Beef (best I've ever had) and "Hot and Sweet Chicken" (which I guessed was close to Kung Po, and it was). Was....so great. Delicious. <3 when papa pays. Then he gave me money for train fare + extra due to me having no job, so that was hugely appreciated.

Then we went to Orbital Comics. I told my dad about "Chew" which he enjoyed, and he liked seeing the comic shop/all the genres/the original artwork.

Then we went to Selfridges. I got a few cupcakes and those macaroons for Claire and I. And a vitamin drink...such is ritual.

Then I said g'bye to dad and headed home.

Got the taxi home when in AYLESBURY due to knackeredness.

So, busy but a really great few days. Was great to ssee my friends and dad.

And then on Sunday = Kapow Comic Con. :D
