We played pants today. Not so sure on Squillaci's red, having seen it once on replay, I'm not convinced. He stood his ground, wasn't really last man and was about 40 yards from goal.

Samir Nasri pulling a hamstring is just typical. Gutted.

Gary Cahill is off to the Chelsea...he came into my dad's casino who got talking to him about Sheffield as turns out they are both from the same neighborhood (Lowedges!) and apparently now they've seen their move for David Luiz fall through he is going instead....his agent is in talks with them currently.

Also if you take a look he didn't play yesterday...

They can have him, £18 million or so they wanted from us, he's worth about £6 - 8 million.

Torres returned from a short break in Spain on Sunday and trained on his own at Melwood, purely because he arrived latter than his team-mates, which had been agreed in advance. It is not to be interpreted that he is already being ostracised by Dalglish and the owners in preparation for a sale.

I know.. it's insane

At the same time, it maybe shows the intents of FSG and what they're prepared to do to move Liverpool forward..

While it shows good intent that the owners are prepared to invest in the club, at least invest properly. Carroll is pretty decent, but he's not £35m pretty decent. Crikey... I mean... I'm surprised they didn't consider looking at Defoe, or looking abroad as mentioned above at Higher quality players at around 10 to £15m cheaper.

I am more curious about Torres replacement - so far every rumored striker bid they made was turned down. There are not that much players left who can help Liverpool and are even willing to transfer.

Yeah before I pay 35 for Carrol I rather pay 20 for Forlan...

Exactly... yeah it's a panic buy... but there are still 7 hours left of the window (there were 8 or 9 when they first started the bid) surely they could of sat everyone down and been like...

"Ok Torres is pretty much a done deal, lets calm the fuck down, scout decent players in the £20m bracket across Germany, Spain, France, Italy etc.. and consider our options"

Not go along the lines of "Oh My Fuck.. Torres is gone.. Sign Crouch, Sign Keane, Sign Carroll.. sign anyone... £35m... here take it ....fuuuuuuuuu"

Just my 2 cents though:heh:

Better to just sit on there £50million than panic buy at the last minute!

They're pretty safe in mid-table now anyways.

Dunno if it's true, but I just read a tweet that said:

west ham were offered andy carroll for £1 million in the summer of 2009, but steve clarke didn't rate him (from dead cert source)
lol.

Has the second big been rejected? I would rather have lorente to be honest, but oh well, it's a statement from the new owners anyways, and a big one!! BOSH!

EDIT: SkySports says it has, which well take that with a pinch of salt.
