Neither feature in the games as far as I recall... It's original name, Glass Solider, was far cooler. That's a proper shmup name, like Radiant Silvergun and the like. They do... in the sequel too, it's all part of the story, Glass Solider doesn't quite have the same appeal to it tbh, Radiant Silvergun however is an epic example for a shooter name as is Ikaruga.
