Can still remember taking all my DVDs to CEX and coming out with a kindle.

I ended up just binning all of mine a fair few years back now. I recently gave all my blu-rays to one of my sisters. Told her to take what she wanted and then either bin or sell the rest.

Yeah I would just donate them now as they'd only give you like 10p. This was around 2012 I believe.

I probably would have traded in all my dvds at some point but I got rid of all the boxes and put them into sleeves and an organiser drawer. That of course now lives in the garage so well worth the effort!

For anyone interested here is the stuff I’ve sorted through so far at my parents place:

Not sure whether to give eBay a try or just dump it all to CEX. Are there any other ways of getting rid of this type of stuff nowadays?

Yeah, I might try it for all of the potentially higher value stuff. The difference between CEX buy and sell price is quite wide, even landing half way between feels worth it.

You kept things in good condition by the looks of it.

Was in CEX earlier killing time and I saw a GBA and it reminded me of picking mine up on launch day at the Game where years later I would end up working. Always felt it was cool that my reservation number was 007.

For the most part yes, I’m a bit annoyed with my Dad for ramming so so much of it in boxes too small to move house but I guess that’s my fault for not being there to sort it properly.

I think the GBA I found is my original one. It was the first import I ever had. Amazingly Stourbridge used to have an awesome little Indy game store and they sorted a Japanese one with Mario Kart for me. I was the coolest kid in school.

I mean... It was Stourbridge so that's a low bar.

For anyone interested I'm putting together a List of Stuff I'm getting rid of. If anything takes your fancy let me know.

That’s a fantastic collection you have there!

If it helps decided what you’re going to do with them, I’m selling my N64 collection on eBay so I can tell you what I get for them if that helps?  I see you have a few N64 games on your list and some are the same as ones I’m selling.  I’m trying out a few of the rarer ones with 10 day listings, the remaining 19 I’m putting up for 7 days on Sunday.

Here’s my link to my Mario Party 3 eBay listing.  I’m hoping the likes of Paper Mario and Conker do well, but I’m not sure about many of the others.

Quick question I’d love to get the opinions of you lovely people: I’ve just been offered £350 on eBay for my boxed copy of Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness if I stop my auction & put it up for that as a “Buy it now” price.  Worth it?

They’ve got good feedback and seems a good price to me, but I haven’t had this kind of request before so wonder if anyone else had too?

That's well above the market value for even a complete in box copy of the game, sounds sus to me.

That being said, there wouldn't be any real harm in relisting the auction as a Buy-It-Now; just as long as you do not listen to any requests to sell outside of the site.  NEVER accept any purchase offer that doesn't go directly through eBay, there will be no seller protection whatsoever if you do this and you will almost certainly be scammed.  As long as they purchase through eBay directly though, there's no harm in using the Buy It Now option.

Right, it's not letting me send a PM to you for whatever silly reason, but just out of curiosity, how much for the following...

Quote

Burning Rangers

Playdate

Playdate Case

Pokemon Mini

Analogue Pocket

BTW, are any of your games NTSC copies? Or are they all PAL?

Personally, I would end the item right now, and relist it for £350 without hestation if everything seems to be in order.

I always list with a Buy It Now price instead of auctions, as it tends to filter out the serious buyers from those who don't seem that bothered whether they buy the item, or not.

You can always accept offers, and then set the offer to the amount which you would feel comfortable accepting.

If you're going to set the price at £350, then I'd set the offer price at £325, but no lower, for example, especially as you seem to have found the price which at least someone is willing to pay, and looking at the condition, I'm not too surprised as it's an exceptional condition copy of Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, which in terms of N64 collecting - rather than the game itself - is a very desirable game.

Go for it, sell it with confidence, you've got excellent feedback on eBay, and I know that you package items well, as I've both bought from you before, on eBay and on the forum, so I just want to say thanks again for the times when you've helped me out. :peace:

Wishing you every success, and chances are, I might even buy that GameCube controller from you, as it looks to be in excellent condition, though it'll surely have no problem selling as it is currently on an auction listing.

That’s super helpful, thanks for sharing - you’ve got some great stuff there! Looking at the pics those N64 games are in amazing condition.

I’m basically thinking if I can get somewhere between the CEX buy and sell price I’m happy. If you’re interested I can sort some better pics but all of those are in basically new condition. Burning Rangers would be dependent on me finding the box - I know its there somewhere but have a bit of searching to do.

Except where noted it’s all PAL. I do have a big pile of JP Saturn and Gamecube stuff I need to put down.

Thanks @S.C.G for the kind words, and both you and @Dcubed for your advice.  Let’s see how it goes, and yep I’ll definitely let you know what I get then@Will.

I went ahead and sold Legacy of Darkness for £350 through eBay.  Hoping they’ll be no shenanigans when they receive it…

Randomly mentioned in an Xbox article, remakes of the first two Ecco the Dolphin games plus a new one is in development with the original team.

Me and the entire original team are going to Remaster the original Ecco the Dolphin and Tides of Time games. Then we will make a new, third game with contemporary play and GPU sensibilities. Stay tuned to eccothedolphin.com

Looks like the full reveal is a year away, though.
