Paj! Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 You're either in Simon Cowell's shiny, sentimental pop camp, pledging your allegiance to a nice Geordie lad – (played by Hilary Swank in Boys Don't Cry) [LMFAO!!] I lol'd and loved.
CoolFunkMan Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Well, we'll see if Amazon purchases do count. I already bought it now, so it's all good. Roll on tomorrow!
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Some of the mindless comments I've heard from the X Factor side of this battle - combined with how well RATM is acting in all of this - are definitely pushing me further towards Rage.
Wesley Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I've bought 4 copies so far. I didn't even mean to buy a copy from iTunes; but I clicked on the store and saw that smug face. So I bought some Rage.
CoolFunkMan Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Apparently RAGE is starting to fall behind.... ....shit.
or else you will DIE Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 7digital say that joe is 11,000 in front, but that is possibly just downloads from their site do not give up hope!
EEVILMURRAY Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Apparently RAGE is starting to fall behind.... ....shit.
mcj metroid Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Some of the mindless comments I've heard from the X Factor side of this battle - combined with how well RATM is acting in all of this - are definitely pushing me further towards Rage. exactly x factor are NOT helping themselves here. The best approach is to ignore them/ xfactor fans are generally kids who would have never heard this track before but now they're going to be curious. 3 of the judges have commented on this and joe never should have done that with the sun . Throwing darts at a guys face, doesn't like rock music? how this this help anything? If they ignored it it would therefore undermine them
Dante Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Dave Grohl Joins In FOO FIGHTERS rocker DAVE GROHL has backed his US counterparts to beat Geordie Joe. The Facebook group which launched the campaign have over 800,000 members and Grohl said fans are "sick" of reality TV programmes like The X Factor. "There's some music that I question its intention," he said. "When people rise up and decide, 'Hey man, I'm sick of this, let's derail this other thing for something real' I'm all for it."
Ashley Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I think the other judges (Cowell excluded) kinda feel defensive of Joe because he's young and they've spent a great deal of time with him and I'd imagine they feel somewhat motherly toward him and they see this as an unfair attack (as people are angrier, presumably, at Cowell). It would be kinda hypocritical to just not bother, or at least it would lose public face. I think its fair enough if Joe wants to say he doesn't like rock music, we're all entitled to choices. And I'd imagine The Sun set up the dartboard thing, they're hardly the most grown up newspaper
EEVILMURRAY Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Throwing darts at a guys face, doesn't like rock music? how this this help anything? Can't you tell he's fighting the power in a completely original way? :s

Cube Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Can't you tell he's fighting the power in a completely original way? :s I think the correct way to put it is that he's fighting the power in his own "special" way.
Ashley Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 he twice sang journey.. does he know what rock music is? Maybe he means heavy metal? Musical genres can be tricky to define sometimes, particularly to someone who doesn't know them much. Perhaps he doesn't consider Journey rock as JD loves them so.
Dante Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Didnt "The Climb" come out three months ago by Miley Cyrus?

EEVILMURRAY Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 You seem almost as desperate as the Facebook people DIE. Didnt "The Climb" come out three months ago by Miley Cyrus? Apparently so, but whenever the song "The Climb" is mentioned, I always think of the No Doubt version.
Daft Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Best thing about this whole thing is it's got me back into RATM again.
Nintendohnut Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I've got several copies now myself. A few free ones and two that I paid for, but as far as I'm concerned, it's for charity, and it's only a few pence. So I don't reallly mind.
MadDog Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I'm getting sick of people calling the folk who have bought the X Factor single morons. If I like a fucking song and I buy it, it doesn't make me a moron. So go fist yourself. Dicks.
Wesley Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Woooah. Shh.... So yeah, charity "for the win" as the internet once said a few years ago.

MadDog Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 That's your opinion, and I accept that. But calling us morons is pathetic.
Beast Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 (edited) I decided to get it. It's for charity, I suppose and I'm feeling a little loving at the moment. Also, if it means a possibilty for a CHRISTMAS number 1 next year, then I'm onboard. Edited December 19, 2009 by Animal
