We Are Scientists has one of "those" vocalists, who all seem to have the same american accent singing voice that is neither interesting or particularly good.

The Smiths was better.

I particularly dislike that We Are Scientists song.

I'd be a fan of The Smiths if I could be bothered listening to them. I always enjoy when I hear, but can never actually get round to purposefully listening.

The Smiths.

The Smiths because the track in question is simply a better song overall and I quite enjoyed it, I didn't enjoy the other track though, it sounded like an aural mess to me.

Tough decision, but I'm going for We Are Scientists.

I wish it was 2005. :(

Ken what you mean. We Are Scientists remind of many a great drunken night out in filth holes known as Snobs, the Sanctuary, or the Academy. Great times not to be repeated for 10 or so years until year 2000 retro clubs start opening.

Anyway tough round I feel, but I'm going to give it to The Smiths. Always loved Morrissey's voice and lyrics.

Oh fuck this won't be an easy decision. Had you asked me a year ago it would have been fine but now I'm getting more into The Smiths.

This sounds like a decision future (non sleepy) Ashley can handle.

(and if it was a 'best fringe ever' competition Keith Murray would blatantly win)

Ooh good contest, Im somewhat surprised how close it is.

I love both, played WAS to death a few years back, great catchy power pop.

Still, There is a Light that Never Goes Out is one of my current favorite songs evarrr, got me into the Smith, so gets my vote easily. Prefer Please Please Please though

The Smiths for me. Always loved that song. I don't think I'd ever heard the We Are Scientists song before, but it didn't really grab my attention or anything. It was okay but not great. So yeah, The Smiths get my vote.

I do like We Are Scientists, and I quite fondly remember the first time I ever heard that song. It was whilst I was out clubbing, and I just remember thinking "ooo, I quite like eeeet."

But, the Smiths song is on a whole different level. I smile when I hear the words because I think they're sweet. "If a double decker bus, crashes in to us, to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die."

The words are like poetry. Great artist. :)

The Smiths. All the way.

Urgh. On the one hand The Smiths have that link Flink quoted, but then also Morrisey whose a cock.

But I've loved WAS a long time, they have an awesome album cover and the video has a man dressed as a bear chasing them.

Hmm I'll go for We Are Scientists me thinks (although there are better WAS songs).
