Choze Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) Microsoft suck at keeping things under wraps so I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. Sony are also geared to have an awesome show so this looks like a promising E3 for all the games consoles. The Wii is a toy. Oh yes, I went there. He's probably busy posting in the Hot People Thread. Sony e3 wise i think big announcements may be lacking because they are now first party focused. One company vs many 3rd party. They are nowhere near Nintendo in big franchises either. Having said that GT5 is absolutely huge and probably will be the centerpiece. I am guessing motion tech may make an appearance. Though new ones have emerged like LBP and KZ2. KZ2 in particular was laughing stock at first and LBP had alot of unanswered questions. Sony do have a knack of taking risks and making success out of them. Dante probably needs the break :P Edited May 10, 2009 by Choze
Daft Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 As far as I'm concerned, Sony's big franchises rape Nintendo's. Not just the the IPs but the actual executions of the latest iterations. Plus, Sony has Twisted Metal to announce at E3.

Plus, Sony has Twisted Metal to announce at E3. I can see what you mean, lol. WiiFit isnt my sort of thing... Well lets see. David Jaffe was suggessting his game isnt ready for e3 yet. Never played a Twisted Metal myself. I suspect some new Sony game might announced so maybe this? According to PSW GTA Lost and damned is coming to PS3. This thread will be a mess before e3.
Dan_Dare Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Lost and Damned on ps3 would be cool. It's absolutely immense so the more the merrier. that's what I hate about 'console rivalry'. I couldn't give two shits that TLAD was an exclusive. Games are meant to be enjoyed and I don't care where somebody chose to spend the £300 it takes to invest in a new console.
Aimless Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 In a way I hope they don't announce a 360 version of MGS4 because if they do I'm going to have to buy it. Mind you it would probably be worth the cost of entry just to get rid of the silly fractured installation. Oh, here's my fairly baseless prediction: Metal Gear Online won't be included, but Oxide will be the usual extras — cutscene viewer, maybe some VR missions — as well as a short sidestory where you play as Raiden. "Xbox Fluid" is such a terrible name that it must be true. Remember when everyone scoffed at the idea of Microsoft calling their next machine the Xbox 360?
Goafer Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 So your wrists are essentially tied together? That's a health and safety nightmare surely? Looks interesting though.
drahkon Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 from neogaf: leaked by someone at Remedy. APB. Game by MS could well be a GTA killer. Metal Gear Solid 4 + Oxide (Show Finale, one game) Secret 360 Konami exclusive Molyneux / Lionhead project "Richter" Xbox Fluid - New Motion camera! Splinter Cell Conviction Alan Wake New GTA to be shown. Initials: GTA.BAAFLC Halo ODST. There are the games with special slots at the conference. Seems legit but its not everything apparently. Related to this? Still sceptic about it. Don't know why though...maybe because of "GTA.BAAFLC". Sounds stupid. And I will always believe that MGS 4 won't be released on the 360.
Wesley Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) Kotaku: could be anything: That was leaked last year before the last E3. I certainly dont mind 360 owners playing this. That would be so annoying seeing MGS4 elsewhere. Shhhh... Edited May 10, 2009 by Wesley
Ryan Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Why? all it means is that more people can play it. I'm a selfish fanboy,: peace:
Diageo Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) So much leaked information, I don't think any of it is true.No one had even mentioned the Wii or Nintendo in the conversation. Do you people need reassurance from everyone else that you bought the right console that you have to keep going on about Sony being better or whatever? No one cares. I don't know why some people go through all the trouble to try to trick people into believing all this. Edited May 10, 2009 by Diageo
Cube Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 That was leaked last year before the last E3. It's a controller made by a company called Motus Games. It's been in development for a while and it seems to be for the PC.
Nintenchris Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) Why? all it means is that more people can play it. Dont ya mean watch it.....? Edited May 10, 2009 by Nintenchris
dwarf Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Wheeeyyy that was quite good. Still a great game though, which you probably understand.
Dan_Dare Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I'm a selfish fanboy,: peace: but you literally have no stake in where the game comes out. You have nothing to loose, and others have something to gain. Your view is totally groundless, utterly without merit and totally bewildering. More to the point: to date no single MGS game has ever been anything other than a timed exclusive. What did you really expect?

drahkon Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 More to the point: to date no single MGS game has ever been anything other than a timed exclusive. Hm, good point. But I'll keep on believing: No MGS4 for 360. At least I won't be disappointed if I'm right. :p Looking forward to seeing footage of Alan Wake. Not confirmed officially but we will see stuff. Hopefully a lot of in-game stuff. Will there be anything about Mass Effect 2?
Babooo Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I will jizz in my pants if MGS4 came to Xbox 360. I can see it happening....I hope they confirm it at E3. I absolutely adore the MGS series, played every single entry in the series....but have still to play MGS4! Come on Konami do it for me....
dwarf Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 One thing I didn't understand with MGS4 was all the weapons in the game, there was something like 79 weapons with loads of customisation options of which pretty much all of them pointless. They were cool but not really necessary because the actual game isn't that long. Great while it lasts though. I remember Sons of Liberty being longer. I was going to say longer and harder (kind of have now) but yeah.

Aimless Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 More to the point: to date no single MGS game has ever been anything other than a timed exclusive. Apart from Snake Eater. And the first MGS, depending on how you look at it; everyone knows the PC is exempt when it comes to exclusivity. That said I'm pretty sure that Microsoft want MGS4 as a trophy wife if nothing more. It's a bit like the exclusive GTAIV and Tomb Raider DLC: they want to lay claim to what are traditionally thought of as PlayStation games. The irony is that Sony are busy making true first- and second-party exclusives, both retail and download titles, that are quickly becoming the new definition of 'PlayStation' whilst Microsoft seems a bit distracted with proving a point. Not that the 360 catalogue is bad by any stretch of the imagination, I just think MS's money would be better invested in the future rather than laying claim to the past. Both the 360 and PS3 are excellent consoles with their own strengths and weaknesses. If only they could combine, Megazord-style, into the ultimate unified platform then maybe more people would see that it's the games that are important, not the machine they run on.
Dante Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 At least i beat Dante afew times this week ! :p Stop beating me off Choze.
