Owen Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 The game is incredible and i'm only on the third level. I agree with all the warnings at the start of the game, where-ever you decide to play a certain level or not...i'm playing it now (i believe, unless theres worse), and to be honest...it's seems a bit pointless and reaks of controversy just for the sake of it...other then that..VERY good.
Caris Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I can confirm it's £26 at Sainsburys. I just rang up and asked a guy there, I told him about the newspaper advert and he replied "I'm not allowed to disclose that information but if you read between the lines I think you can figure it out" we both laughed and I reserved a copy. Can't wait
flameboy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Hmmm well if ASDA are out come friday when I'm paid, I might just order off amazon even if it means waiting till next week...

It's extremely tame compared to Saints Row 2's airport. I think it sets up the story quite well.
martinist Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 o_0 this is the best damn thing I've ever played... I'll admit i played through that terrorist level with a huge smile on my face. Not that I'm into that sort of thing or anything. ~_~ have yet to play on-line yet.

Can't wait I would have thought a advert in a national newspaper would have confirmed it at £26, no? Edited November 9, 2009 by James
Shorty Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Shit I wasn't going to get this (in a hurry, at least) but these positive comments are totally swinging it for me. If I can grab it at that £26 price tag I may just do it... just the thing for my new big telly....
spirited away Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 The multiplayer alone easily makes this my GOTY.
Hero-of-Time Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Well it took Parcel Force long enough but my copy finally arrived, just installing to the 360 it now.
Shorty Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Spoke to Sainsbury's too, they wouldn't let us reserve but confirmed the price, I might go get a copy before work tomorrow. Means getting up early though...
Guest Stefkov Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Shit I wasn't going to get this (in a hurry, at least) but these positive comments are totally swinging it for me. If I can grab it at that £26 price tag I may just do it... just the thing for my new big telly.... Same for me this. I wasn't intending on picking it up but the hype has grabbed me by my balls and for £26 I can't not buy it.
Beast Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Asda are selling it for £32 and Blockbusters for £45. I'm gonna try and get it from Asda for £32, I've pre-ordered it from Blockbusters but I'll only lose like a tenner anyway. If I can't get it from Asda then I'll just drive up to Blockbusters and get my pre-order. I wouldn't win or lose anything :p
dwarf Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Shiiiii I think I need this game. I agree with Daft that I only get hyped a day before or on release day. I didn't feel like getting this but now I really do, especially with watching multiplayer vids like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddSo7n6nW74 It looks damn good. I have the money, but I'd like to pick it up at Sainsbury's for that price, which unfortunately I can't do.
Dan_Dare Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I had to turn down a broken street date for this today. nerts.
gaggle64 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I'll admit i played through that terrorist level with a huge smile on my face. Not that I'm into that sort of thing or anything. ~_~ I do worry about you sometimes, I really do. >__>
MATtheHAT Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Controller and headset charging, Money withdrew from bank, pre-order receipt in pocket, diesel in car, I think my anticipation has just reached fever pitch.
Cookyman Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Ok Ok I give in. I'm gonna have to go up to ASDA's tonight - at that price all complaints about Activisions pricing go out the window!
dwarf Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Everyone's trying to justify themselves for failing to boycott because they realise they need the game. This is a laugh
James Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 its certainly tickling me, but I suppose when it is between 25-32 at most places you can't blame them. Im not counting Makro, apparantly they will have very limited stock and are doing it to get people in the store. altho I will be happy to take praise for saying in more than a few posts ago that there would be a price war for this.:p
flameboy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 see yeah if I can't get it cheap when I get paid friday then my boycott is back on lol!
Kav Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Having played it, I'd say don't boycott it. You'll be missing out on one seriously amazing game!
flameboy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Having played it, I'd say don't boycott it. You'll be missing out on one seriously amazing game! oh cheers make it even harder! anyone wanna buy me a copy and post it to me and I'll pay you back at the weekend :P would work out cheaper than £45 still...
Shorty Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 It would probably seem a bit cheeky going in to sainsburys early tomorrow and buying 2 copies.... (she wouldnt let me reserve but warned that I'd better get there early because loads of people have called up)
LegoMan1031 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 It would probably seem a bit cheeky going in to sainsburys early tomorrow and buying 2 copies.... (she wouldnt let me reserve but warned that I'd better get there early because loads of people have called up) I would imagine they are going to have a '1 per customer rule' also! oh cheers make it even harder! anyone wanna buy me a copy and post it to me and I'll pay you back at the weekend :P would work out cheaper than £45 still... I would try tomoz morning mate but mine is being delivered by courier and so i dont want to leave the house incase it turns up!!!
Caris Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Can anyone confirm if Sainsburys are asking you to buy another game to get MW2 for £26? I'm still a little unsure about this.
