ReZourceman Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 ReZ is more strange than not cool, really. I fear I'm not selling things here...but it'll be good, honest! I like to think I walk a healthy balance between strange and cool. A HEALTHY BALANCE THAT EXCEEDS 100%!!! LOLOLOLOL :D :hehe:

Ashley Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Well when you whore yourself out as much ReZ it stretches.
Ganepark32 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Cue joke with the words 'Rez' and 'Wizard's Sleeve' in it.
Letty Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Sorry dudes, I'm gonna have to pull out of this! Me and my friend are planning to go to Japan in August, and there's no WAY I can afford to do this aswell!! Sorryyyyy..
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Look what you did, Letty! Now you've made ReZ sad!
Letty Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Well its hanging in the balance right now - there is the small possibility it falls through, in which case I'll do everything in my power to make it to London *glimmer of hope* No promises though
CoolFunkMan Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Sorry folks, but it's looking less likely for me this year too. I'm being a festival whore.
ReZourceman Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Well at least the dropping out is happening earlier this year. No doubt it will continue until the day though.
Ganepark32 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 It'll be a few more months before I make my decision. It's more of a money issue but I have ways of getting around it. It then just boils down to my mother letting me go off for the weekend to London, which I'm sure she'll let me do if I come up with some completely bogus reason for doing it. Still, I'll be doing everything I can to come to the meet.

Ganepark32 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I don't mind the distance that needs to be travelled. Hell, the further away it is from my house the better. Means that I'm less likely to get pestered, be it in person or on the phone, from family members. And plus, travelling somewhere is an awesome experience. Can always have fun on long journeys somewhere.
jayseven Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Ah! So we just need a bogus reason? Ask The_Bard what he did for london. I don't remember his excuse, but I don't think he even told his parents he was going anywhere. They certainly didn't know he was in london, nor that he was sleeping in a room full of strangers he'd met off the internet that night. I think he just pretended to be at a mate's house! Say you and a mate are gonna go down and see a few museums/parks or something. It'll be mostly true.

I don't know whether they bought it or not but no questions were asked.
Supergrunch Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Lol, I just told my parents for the last one: "Bye, I'm off to meet some internet people." "Oh okay then, will you be back this evening?" It's funny, my Mum's usually insanely protective. Though thankfully less so since I've been to university.
jayseven Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Since I live with someone I 'met' on the internet, my mum has kinda calmed down about it all, really. Plus when there's a large number of people meeting at once the risks are drastically reduced.

Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Plus when there's a large number of people meeting at once the risks are drastically reduced. Two words: Gang rape.

Ashley Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 My parents wouldn't stop me or anything, they would just ask awkward questions. I believe that is what a pyschaitrist calls a 'breakthrough'.
