D_prOdigy Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) I will definitely. This and No More Heroes 2 are my two day 1 certainties for early 2010. Edit: Add Silent Hill to that list. pff. Edited December 27, 2009 by D_prOdigy
Owen Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I will definitely. This and No More Heroes 2 are my two day 1 certainties for early 2010. Edit: Add Silent Hill to that list. pff. I don't think we're getting No More Heroes 2 in the UK early 2010, i thought i read somewhere it needs to find a publisher and that the latest news is that 'Rising star' games was publishing it and it won't be out till summer time! might have dreamed that, mind you..haha I'll be playing Silent Hill today, i give some impressions of it later!
Daft Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I'll be picking this up. If not on release then soon after.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I shall most definitely pick this up! Despite its flaws, I just loved Red Steel 1, and this looks as if it will surpass its predecessor in every way!
Sméagol Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Yeah, me too, this has been on my must-buy list for a very long time. I also like the first despite its flaws (must finish it one day with the good ending though, couldn't do the last fight because I was suddenly having problems with the motion recognition (batteries perhaps)). And I've actually already played this one (demo @ Köln), so I already know the controls are smooth.
Ren of Heavens Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Ubi has little faith in RS2: Ubisoft Cuts Sales Projections In Half For Red Steel 2 News "Ubisoft projects sales of 500,000 for Red Steel 2 as the game prepares for launch in March of this year" A bit more than The Conduit, but way lower than RS1.
D_prOdigy Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Seems basically like a foretelling that they won't market it.
Daft Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Well that makes no sense... I can only guess it's because March is a massive month for the 'hardcore'.
welsh_gamer Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Pre-order WITH the Wii Motion Plus + for £29.99 at Amazon
Retro_Link Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Pre-order WITH the Wii Motion Plus + for £29.99 at Amazon That's wierd!! I can't see this being a budget title at £19.99, so that's effectively a free MotionPlus!
Owen Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I think i preordered it from GAME when it was £29.99..probably change it so i don't get a motionplus..but i don't need anymore anyway. I think it'll do pretty well sales wise...boxart looks cool..got cowboys in it..swords/guns..should be alright. They can only blame themselves for releasing it in such a epic month....
Retro_Link Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I don't really need any more MotionPlus right now past the 2 I already have, but makes sense to get one if you can just to sell it!
welsh_gamer Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Sold my spare MotionPlus+ for £12.10 yesterday, so Red Steel 2 for under £20 on launch for me, and I might just sell the one I get then too if there's not a whole lot of MotionPlus+ compatible multiplayer games coming out for the rest of the year.
darksnowman Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 That box art, whether final or not, looks great to me.
david.dakota Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 That box art, whether final or not, looks great to me. T'is indeed a nice box art.
Fused King Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I'm hoping that the game will sell beyond Ubi's expectations. That way, we might just get to hear some new statements about the wii and such:laughing: 'Red Steel 2 sold pretty well, because the wii is a great piece of hardware for games like these and still is the only console out there with motion controls. We'll scratch Raving Rabbids 4 and from here on out, Rayman will be property of NINTENDO'

This could match its predecessors sales figures and Ubi probably wouldnt bat an eyelid; they seem to be a publisher pitching themselves at high end tech now. They've shat on the Wii and are happy to now flush it down the pan.
dazzybee Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Surely if the first game did over a million, this can too! Surely! I think it looks great, but they can so easily get it wrong. Would love them to nail it and build on it with amazing online for Red Steel 3!
LostOverThere Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Surely if the first game did over a million, this can too! Surely! Yeah, but Red Steel 1 was also a launch game. The sole reason I purchased the game is I wanted a FPS game for my freshly obtained Wii and Red Steel 1 was really my only choice. Red Steel 2 isn't a launch title. And unlike it's predecessor it does have competition.
dazzybee Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 But there's also 50 million more wii owners..... I think it'll sell a million....unless it's shit. And that's why Ubisoft cut the numbers....
Ren of Heavens Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I think 1% of Wii owners will pick it up, so around 700k in sales.
Zechs Merquise Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 This could sell well. It certainly looks cool, and there are plenty of million selling Wii titles out there, no reason why this won't be one!
Retro_Link Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) I think 1% of Wii owners will pick it up, so around 700k in sales.Man that's depressing! Is that all us Nintendo harcore equate to? Surely is this were on any other system 10% of people would be buying it! Edited January 26, 2010 by Retro_Link
